Abstract: A sample collection kit includes a sample collector, a polycarbonate container, and a preservative solution. The sample collector includes an absorbent pad with a collecting element that receives a sample of oral fluid. The absorbent pad also includes an interior portion that extends into a handle. The handle includes an upper casing and a lower casing. The collecting element can be treated with a surfactant to optimize recovery of analytes from the oral sample and/or their absorbance onto the absorbent pad. A polycarbonate container receives the absorbent pad or the sample collector and stores it for testing of analytes. A dextran sulfate preservative solution is included in the polycarbonate container that inhibits enzymatic activity on a collected sample.

Abstract: A power converter, control apparatus and methods are presented for driving a permanent magnet motor or other load through a sine wave filter and a transformer, in which inverter output current is controlled using a current-frequency relationship to convert a desired frequency or speed value to a current setpoint, and the inverter output current is regulated to the current setpoint using a control algorithm with a bandwidth below the resonant frequency of the sine wave filter.

Abstract: System and method for agentless computing system configuration management in networked environments. A configuration management service may be implemented as a service on a network with a standard network interface. A client may communicate with the service to specify a configuration for a target system, for example through a browser interface. The specified configuration may be stored by the service. The service may generate a package according to the specified configuration. The package may be delivered to the target system via the network. The package may then install the configuration, for example, one or more software, data, or other digital components, on the target systems in accordance with the specified configuration. The clients may request that the service verify and/or update the installed configuration on the target system. The service may, in response, generate an update package for the installed configuration. Target systems may include computer systems and virtual machines.

Abstract: A voice control method and a mobile terminal apparatus are provided. The mobile terminal apparatus includes a voice receiving module, a voice outputting module, a voice wake-up module and a language recognition module. When the voice wake-up module determined that a first voice signal matches to identification information, the voice receiving module is turned on. When the voice receiving module receives a second voice signal after the first voice signal, the language recognition module parses the second voice signal and obtains a voice recognition result. When the voice recognition result includes an executing request, the language recognition module executes a responding operation, and the voice receiving module is turned off from receiving a third voice signal. When the voice recognition result does not include the executing request, the language recognition module executes a speech conversation mode.

Abstract: A distributed load balancer in which a router receives packets from at least one client and routes packet flows to multiple load balancer nodes. The router exposes a public IP address and the load balancer nodes all advertise the same public IP address to the router. The router may implement a per-flow hashed multipath routing technique, for example an equal-cost multipath (ECMP) routing technique, to distribute the flows across the load balancer nodes. Thus, the multiple load balancer nodes may service a single public endpoint. The load balancer nodes may advertise to the router according to the Border Gateway Protocol (BGP). Rather than advertising itself, however, a load balancer node may be advertised to the router by one or more neighbor load balancer nodes; the neighbor nodes may terminate the BGP sessions with the router in response to determining that the load balancer node has failed.

Abstract: Systems and methods for supply risk detection are disclosed. In some embodiments, a method includes identifying fulfillment-related features corresponding to an item to be stored in inventory. The method also includes selecting a subset of the fulfillment-related features that is correlated with a supply constraint associated with the item. For example, in some cases the correlation is based on historical supply constraint data. The method further includes building a supply risk early detection model based, at least in part, upon the subset fulfillment-related features and evaluating the model to determine a probability that a third-party vendor will suffer a shortage of the item, as well as an expected duration of the shortage. Upon evaluation of the model, the method may include creating a purchasing plan for the item that takes into account the probability of the shortage and the expected duration of the shortage.

Abstract: The present application discloses compositions, methods and devices for treatment of a degenerative intervertebral disc. A composition can comprise chondrocytes expressing type II collagen. These chondrocytes can be obtained from human cadavers up to about two weeks following death, and can be grown in vitro. The compositions can further comprise one or more biocompatible molecules. Treatment of a degenerative disc can comprise injecting or implanting a composition comprising the chondrocytes into a degenerative disc through an aperture or incision. If the aperture or incision is closed with a suture or a glue after introduction of the chondrocytes, the closure can withstand over 400 N of compression force.

Abstract: A distributed load balancer in which a router receives packets from at least one client and routes packet flows to multiple load balancer (LB) nodes according to a per-flow hashed multipath routing technique. For a given packet flow, the LB nodes randomly select a server node as a target for the packet flow from among multiple server nodes and send a connection request to the server node. A load balancer module on the server node makes the decision on whether to accept or reject the connection based on one or more metrics indicating a respective server's current load. If the module accepts the connection request, a connection is established between the server and the client. Otherwise, the load balancer nodes may select another server node and try again. The connections established between clients and servers pass through the load balancer nodes, but are not terminated at the load balancer nodes.

Abstract: Embodiments are provided for implementing control plane functionality to configure a data plane at a plurality of network nodes. A software defined topology (SDT) component is configured to determine a data plane logical topology indicating a plurality of selected nodes and a logical architecture connecting the selected nodes. The data plane logical topology enables traffic delivery for a service or virtual network for an end-customer or operator. A software defined networking (SDN) component is configured to interact with the SDT component and map the data plane logical topology to a physical network. The mapping includes allocating network nodes including the selected nodes and network resources which enable communications for the service or virtual network and meet QoS requirement. A software defined protocol (SDP) component is configured to interact with the SDN and define data plane protocol and process functionality for the network nodes.

Abstract: A method forwarding data traffic based on a service chain policy for distributed gateway located within a network virtualization edge (NVE). The NVE may receive, within a first virtual overlay network, a data packet destined for a destination tenant end point located in a second virtual overlay network. The NVE may determine that a network service function is unavailable to treat the data packet between the first virtual overlay network and the second virtual overlay network. In order to route the data packet, the NVE may obtain a service chain policy that provides the location of a network node configured to treat the data packet with the network service function. The NVE may transmit the data packet toward the network node. A service chain policy may correspond to a sequence of network nodes that represents a path to the destination tenant end point.

Abstract: The present invention discloses an integral LED component which integrates LED epitaxial structures electrodes and interconnect with a package substrate together and an integral manufacturing process thereof. The integral LED component can be made with multiple epitaxial structures or with just a single epitaxial structure. The integral LED component can be mounted into a hollow carrier. And by having support by the hollow carrier, the package substrate can be mounted and contacted with a heat conductive or a dissipation device. The integral LED component is fabricated by wafer level process and cut from the wafer as an independent component. By different manufacturing process, the integral LED component can be made as Vertical LED structure or Lateral LED structure.
