Abstract: Metal deco ink formulations are improved by the use of fluorescent dyes, UV-absorbing dyes and/or IR-absorbing dyes. These may be premixed with a phenol-formaldehyde resin without microencapsulation to protect the dye from other ink ingredients that have chemistries which are incompatible with that of the dye, in order to obtain photochromic ink formulation with a good shelf life.

Abstract: Methods and systems for prioritizing application data in a wireless user device are disclosed. A user device receives, at an application transport bearer (ATB) entity of a protocol layer of a network interface of a user device, at least a portion of a data packet originating from an application identified for prioritized data transfer on the user device. Then, the ATB entity of the user device schedules the data packet ahead of any data packets processed at any network-established data radio bearer (DRB) entities on the same protocol layer as the ATB entity. The ATB entity of the user device is also configured to operate on a protocol layer of a subset of protocol layers on the user device and is configured by the user device with a higher priority parameter than any of the network-established DRB entities on the same protocol layer as the ATB entity.

Abstract: A method for customized voice communication comprising receiving a speech signal, retrieving a user account including an user profile corresponding to an identifier of a caller producing the speech signal, and determining if the user profile includes a speech profile with at least one dialect. If the user profile includes a speech profile, the method further comprises analyzing using a speech analyzer on the speech signal to classify the speech signal into a classified dialect, comparing the classified dialect with each of the dialects in the user profiles to select one of the dialects, and using the selected dialect for subsequent voice communication with the user. The selected dialect can be used for subsequent recognition and response speech synthesis. Abstract: The present invention introduces a new class of thin doubly collimating light distributing engines for use in a variety of general lighting applications. Output illumination from these slim-profile illumination systems whether square, rectangular or circular in physical aperture shape is directional, square, rectangular or circular in beam cross-section, and spatially uniform and sharply cutoff outside the system's adjustable far-field angular cone. Some embodiments provided include thin light distributing engines which provide input light collimated in one meridian and a light distributing element that maintains input collimation while collimating output light in the un-collimated orthogonal meridian, in such a manner that the system's far-field output light is collimated in both its orthogonal output meridians.

  • Publication number: 20130106410
Abstract: A magnitude and direction of at least one of a reset current and a second stabilization current (that produces a reset field and a second stabilization field, respectively) is determined that, when applied to an array of magnetic sense elements, minimizes the total required stabilization field and reset field during the operation of the magnetic sensor and the measurement of the external field. Therefore, the low field sensor operates optimally (with the highest sensitivity and the lowest power consumption) around the fixed external field operating point. The fixed external field is created by other components in the sensor device housing (such as speaker magnets) which have a high but static field with respect to the low (earth's) magnetic field that describes orientation information.

  • Publication number: 20130107729
Abstract: A system, a network node, a router, a method and a program used to determine a bottleneck bandwidth on a multi-hop path between a source and destination node is presented. The method comprises receiving probe packets by a first hop node in the multi-hop path, measuring a bandwidth on a link between the first hop node and a next hop node in the multi-hop path, generating a bandwidth discovery packet including the measured bandwidth, transmitting the BDP to the next hop node, relaying the probe packets to the next hop node, and determining if the next hop node is a last-hop node on the multi-hop path. A last hop node records the measured bandwidth from the BDP, adjusts the delay between the probe packets based upon the bandwidth and relaying the probe packets to the destination node. The destination node determines the bottleneck bandwidth based on the delay between the probe packets.
