  • Patent number: 11390561
Abstract: The present invention provides a liquid composition of quicklime particles within an alkylene glycol-based paste or slurry environment, which allows for pumpability and meterability of a liquid composition into cementitious materials such as concrete and mortar. Treated quicklime particles of the present invention manifest an unexpected and surprising hydration induction postponement behavior, as demonstrated through calorimetric testing.

  • Patent number: 11393346
Abstract: A location identifying solution may use a pre-existing infrastructure of smart hubs and smart devices on user's properties to provide location beacons. An autonomous delivery vehicle may request a location signal from the server when nearing a destination for an order. The server may identify a smart hub with connected devices (e.g., light bulbs, speakers, etc.) associated with the user originating the order. The server may generate and transmit beaconing information to the hub. The hub may cause the devices to output a beacon (e.g., to flicker light at a frequency that is undetectable to human eye). Using a computer vision algorithm, the vehicles could detect the beacon and determine the correct property.

  • Patent number: 11390726
Abstract: The invention includes a method of bonding a perfluoroelastomer material to first surface that includes: (a) contacting a first surface with a bonding agent comprising a curable perfluoropolymer and a curing agent; (b) curing the bonding agent to form a perfluoroelastomer material that is bonded to the first surface. In the practice of such method, the bonding agent may be a solution prepared by dissolving the curable perfluoroelastomer and the curing agent in a solvent. In an embodiment of the invention, the perfluoroelastomer material formed in step (b) is a coating layer or, alternatively, the first surface is a surface of a perfluoroelastomer member and the perfluoroelastomer material formed is a perfluoroelastomer weld.

  • Patent number: 11394335
Abstract: Described is a sensor-less motor reversal (“SLMR”) apparatus that aids the reversal of motor rotation of a bidirectional motor, such as a brushless DC motor of an aerial vehicle. The SLMR includes an RPM dependent clutch that is rotated by a drive shaft of the motor and that engages an engageable shaft of the SLMR apparatus during a low RPM range of the motor during which indirect measurement of the RPM of the motor through a back-EMF of the motor is unreliable. As the engageable shaft increases in RPM, energy is stored by an energy storage mechanism of the SLMR. As the RPM of the motor decreases as part of a motor reversal, the energy stored by the energy storage mechanism is discharged and aids in the transition of the reversal of the motor from positive to negative, or negative to positive. As described, the SLMR apparatus is stateless.

  • Patent number: 11393540
Abstract: A control circuit on a control die compensates for interference caused by adjacent memory cells on target memory cells on a memory die. The compensation may be based on the data states of the adjacent memory cells. Data latches may be used to store data states of the memory cells. However, reading the target memory cells can over-write the data states of the adjacent memory cells in the data latches. The control die may store data state information for the adjacent memory cells prior to sensing the target memory cells (e.g., prior to a decoding error of a codeword in the target cells). Saving the data state information on the control die reduces storage requirements of the memory die and alleviates the need to sense the adjacent memory cells again if decoding the codeword in the target memory cells fails.

  • Patent number: 11395097
Abstract: This disclosure describes techniques for determining when to transition a service-provider application between an in-store mode of operation and an online mode of operation using time as a proxy for location of a mobile device executing an application. When a user arrives at a physical location of the service provider, the user may provide an indication of this arrival via the application. In response, the application may transition from the online mode of operation to the in-store mode of operation. Further, the application may set a timer for a predefined amount of time and, after this amount of time elapses, may transition from the in-store operation mode back to the online operation mode.

  • Patent number: 11392401
Abstract: A device-management system performs processing, such as audio processing, in an instance of a virtual machine corresponding to a functionally limited (local) device. To register the user device, the device-management system receives a registration request that includes device information, encryption data, and an indication of an associated user account. The device-management system then sends this registration data to a service-provider system, which returns a shared encryption key. The device-management system and the user device may use this shared encryption key to securely communicate. The device-management system may de-allocate the instance upon detecting a period of inactivity of the user device and may re-allocate the instance when new activity is detected. The device-management system may further determine when and if audio data to be sent to the user device is encoded using a codec not implemented by the user device.

  • Patent number: 11393208
Abstract: Devices, systems and methods are disclosed for improving a playback of video data and generation of a video summary. For example, annotation data may be generated for individual video frames included in the video data to indicate content present in the individual video frames, such as faces, objects, pets, speech or the like. A video summary may be determined by calculating a priority metric for individual video frames based on the annotation data. In response to input indicating a face and a period of time, a video summary can be generated including video segments focused on the face within the period of time. The video summary may be directed to multiple faces and/or objects based on the annotation data.

  • Patent number: 11393141
Abstract: A data-processing system identifies entities and relationships between entities that are recited in a set of documents. By identifying differently-named entities that share similar sets of relationships, the system is able to identify differently-named, but identical entities recited in the set of documents. The resulting entity and relationship map may be displayed to an end-user for intelligence analysis. In some examples, the end-user may make corrections to the relationship map which can then be used by the system to improve the inferences produced.

  • Patent number: 11395225
Abstract: A method for a first network device involves transmitting, to one or more second network devices, an uplink message that includes an indication of a receive window time interval, and may also include an indication of a request for a downlink message. The method also involves initiating a scheduled receive mode that causes the first network device to transition the first network device to a first power state, and perform a receive window procedure after the receive window time interval has elapsed. The receive window procedure includes transitioning the first network device to a second power state and listening for the downlink message for a duration of time. The method further involves determining that an expiration condition has been met while the first network device is in the scheduled receive mode. Additionally, the method involves terminating the scheduled receive mode upon determining that the expiration condition has been met.

  • Patent number: 11394739
Abstract: Techniques for configurable event-based compute instance security assessments are described. A security assessment service receives one or more configuration messages, sent on behalf of a user, indicating a request to perform a security assessment of one or more computing resources managed by a service provider system responsive to any of one or more events being determined to have occurred. The security assessment is to include attempting to identify security vulnerabilities of the one or more computing resources. The security assessment service determines that an event of the one or more events has occurred subsequent to event data being reported that is indicative of the event, and performs the security assessment of the one or more computing resources responsive to the determining that the event has occurred.

  • Patent number: 11391262
Abstract: A fluid-driven power generation unit, may include two sets of airfoils disposed on opposite sides of the power generation unit with their leading edges facing a windward end of the power generation unit; a body element having a curved front face and a back disposed, wherein at least a portion of the elongate body element is disposed between the first and second set of airfoils; and a power generation unit disposed in alignment with the body element, the power generation unit including at least a housing, and a turbine and an electrical generation unit actuated by the turbine disposed within the housing. As a fluid flows across the airfoils, the lifting force of the airfoils causes a reduced pressure within the power generation unit, drawing air past the turbine, through the body element and out the back of the body element, thereby extracting power from this secondary fluid flow stream.
