Abstract: A ship-and-install electronics assembly with multifunctional interface chassis and liquid-fluid heat exchange. A liquid-fluid loop subassembly contains a pump, a liquid cooling implement, a liquid-fluid heat exchanger, and fluid conveyance components. An electrical circuit subassembly contains a heat-generating component. A multifunctional interface chassis facilitates at least two of structural, electrical power, electrical sensor signal, and network communication between the assembly and corresponding fixtures external to the assembly. Allows for implementation of high density heat-generating electronic components with liquid cooling in a modular form factor that is easy for end users to install and operate.

Abstract: In a method for forming a semiconductor device, a substrate is provided; a word line is formed in the substrate by taking a first face of the substrate as an upper surface; a connecting layer electrically connected to one end of the word line is formed in part of the substrate and on the substrate; a first conducting layer is formed on the connecting layer; and a conducting plug is formed in the substrate by taking a second face of the substrate as an upper surface. The conducting plug is electrically connected to another end of the word line and electrically connected to the first conducting layer via the word line. The first face and the second face are two faces of the substrate opposite to each other in a thickness direction of the substrate.

Abstract: Artifacts, including parameters are data sets, associated with experiment tasks are stored at an experiment management service. A query specifying a particular value of a parameter and a particular data set is received, and an indication of an experiment result associated with the particular data set and the particular parameter value is provided.

Abstract: Systems and methods for finite time counting period counting of infinite data streams is presented. In particular example systems and methods enable counting row accesses to a memory media device over predetermined time intervals in order to deterministically detect row hammer attacks on the memory media device. Example embodiments use two identical tables that are reset at times offset in relation to each other in a ping-pong manner in order to ensure that there exists no false negative detections. The counting techniques described in this disclosure can be used in various types of row hammer mitigation techniques and can be implemented in content addressable memory or another type of memory. The mitigation may be implemented on a per-bank basis, per-channel basis or per-memory media device basis. The memory media device may be a dynamic random access memory type device.

Abstract: A database system may add a read-only query engine to perform read-only queries associated with points-in-time of a database. In various embodiments, the read-only query engine may be added in response to a manual request, an automatic refresh of a network endpoint, a query specifying a point-in-time, or a connection request. The read-only query engine may perform the point-in-time queries on a version the database at the point-in-time and return results for the queries. Upon completion of the queries or at a determined time, the database system may remove the read-only query engine. The specified point-in-time may refer to a current time, a prior time, or a future time with respect to the current time.

Abstract: A semiconductor wafer includes semiconductor dies and laser grooves formed in the scribe lines along the long edges of the semiconductor dies. A laser groove extends between the long edges of two adjacent semiconductor dies to encompass the corners of the two adjacent semiconductor dies. This prevents die cracking, for example during backgrind of the wafer. Moreover, the absence of laser grooves along the short edges of the semiconductor dies prevents die cracking, for example along short edges of dies overhanging empty space that are stressed during portions of the packaging process.

Abstract: A system for the movement of fluids into and out of a surgical field is provided with a control module manipulated by a user; a valve controlled by the user via the control module, the valve controlling flow of a fluid; and a tube set having a proximal branch and a distal branch, wherein the proximal branch is opened and closed by the valve and at least a portion of the distal branch being flexible and a distal tip of the distal branch configured for manipulation within a surgical field. The valve is disposed at a distance to the surgical field and allows free access to tube by the user. Separate proximal branches for suction, irrigation, and insufflation are provided. One or more distal branches may be provided.

Abstract: A data storage device includes a memory device and a controller coupled to the memory device. The controller is configured to relocate first valid data from a first source block to a destination block, relocate second valid data from a second source block to the destination block, determine that the destination block is closed, re-mark the first and second source block with a second indication, and erase the source blocks that have the second indication. The first source block and the second source block are marked with a first indication after each respective data is relocated. The first indication indicates that the source block cannot be freed. The second indication indicates that the destination block is closed and the associated source blocks can be erased. Prior to closing the destination block, parity data may be generated for the data of the destination block and programmed to the destination block.

Abstract: A network address assigned to a virtual network interface of a packet transformation node of a flow management service is identified. A packet of a particular network flow associated with an application implemented at an isolated virtual network is sent to the network address. Using a rewrite directive generated at a rewriting decisions node of the service and cached at the packet transformation node, a transformed packet corresponding to a packet received at the packet transformation node is generated and transmitted to a destination.

Abstract: A system for scalable, fault-tolerant photonic quantum computing includes multiple optical circuits, multiple photon number resolving detectors (PNRs), a multiplexer, and an integrated circuit (IC). During operation, the optical circuits generate output states via Gaussian Boson sampling (GBS), and the PNRs generate qubit clusters based on the output states. The multiplexer multiplexes the qubit clusters and replaces empty modes with squeezed vacuum states, to generate multiple hybrid resource states. The IC stitches together the hybrid resource states into a higher-dimensional cluster state that includes states for fault-tolerant quantum computation.

Abstract: A storage system receives a request to read data that is located in a wordline undergoing a program operation. Instead of waiting for the program operation to complete, which would increase read latency, the storage system aborts the program operation and reconstructs the data from successfully-programmed memory cells in the wordline and from data latches associated with unsuccessfully-programmed memory cells in the wordline. The reconstructed data is then sent to the host. The program abort command can be similar to one used to provide a graceful shutdown in a power-loss situation.

The apparatus according to the present disclosure comprises: at least one first light source configured to irradiate illumination light to an object on a reference surface; at least one second light source configured to irradiate pattern light to the object, a plurality of cameras configured to capture one or more illumination images and one or more pattern images; and one or more processors configured to determine a plurality of outlines indicating edges of the object based on two or more images captured in different directions among the one or more illumination images and the one or more pattern images; determine a virtual plane corresponding to an upper surface of the object based on the plurality of outlines; and determine an angle between the virtual plane and the reference plane.

Abstract: Methods for manufacturing cartridges for fluid mixture dispensers are disclosed herein. For example, the cartridges can be ingredient cartridges for fluid mixture dispensers each holding a set of discrete ingredients in a set of ingredient reservoirs. The methods of manufacturing the cartridges can include configuring the cartridges with loadouts including selecting specific ingredients, selecting a number of reservoirs, and selecting a relative size of the various reservoirs. The methods can also include collecting a set of population data using a network of fluid mixture dispensing devices, analyzing the set of population data, and configuring the cartridges so that they are each optimized for a consumption pattern using the set of population data. The methods can further include filling the cartridge reservoirs according to the loadout and packaging the cartridges for shipment.

Abstract: Examples described herein include systems and methods which include wireless devices and systems with examples of mixing input data with coefficient data specific to a processing mode selection. For example, a computing system with processing units may mix the input data for a transmission in a radio frequency (RF) wireless domain with the coefficient data to generate output data that is representative of the transmission being processed according to a specific processing mode selection. The processing mode selection may include a single processing mode, a multi-processing mode, or a full processing mode. The processing mode selection may be associated with an aspect of a wireless protocol. Examples of systems and methods described herein may facilitate the processing of data for 5G wireless communications in a power-efficient and time-efficient manner.

Abstract: Managed lifecycle roles are disclosed. Managed lifecycle roles may be used for secure credential vending or otherwise. For instance, an entity (e.g., administrator or other entity) requests, via an interface of a role manager, creation of a role associated with a lifecycle definition (e.g., an expression of an enforceable expiration of the role or similar characteristic). The role manager stores the role and role lifecycle definition to a data store. Another entity requests to use the role to perform some operation with respect to a resource. A credential service validates the request against a lifecycle definition for the role (and against an access control list, in some examples) and responds to valid requests with credentials useable to perform the operation with respect to the resource. The other entity uses the credentials to perform the operation with respect to the resource. A sweep process manages attributes of the roles.

Abstract: An apparatus and method for modifying a handgun to accept an optical sight comprises a modified slide mechanism adapted to include a flat recessed rear section configured to receive an adapter plate for mounting an optical sight. Various embodiments of the adapter include modified internal components used to replace stock components what will no longer fit within the modified profile of the slide mechanism. Replacement of the slide mechanism and associated internal components will allow a user to add an optical sight to an existing handgun.

Abstract: Some embodiments include an integrated structure having a stack of memory cell levels. A pair of channel-material-pillars extend through the stack. A source structure is under the stack. The source structure includes a portion having an upper region, a lower region, and an intermediate region between the upper and lower regions. The upper and lower regions have a same composition and join to one another at edge locations. The intermediate region has a different composition than the upper and lower regions. The edge locations are directly against the channel material of the channel-material-pillars. Some embodiments include methods of forming an integrated assembly.

Abstract: A processing device in a memory system reads a sense word from a memory device and executes a plurality of parity check equations on corresponding subsets of the sense word to determine a plurality of parity check equation results. The processing device determines a syndrome for the sense word using the plurality of parity check equation results, determines whether the syndrome for the sense word satisfies a codeword criterion, and responsive to the syndrome for the sense word not satisfying the codeword criterion, performs an iterative low density parity check (LDPC) correction process, wherein at least one criterion of the iterative LDPC correction process is adjusted after a threshold number of iterations is performed.
