  • Patent number: 10537685
Abstract: A dosing mechanism for an injection device includes a dose-setting element with a first element coupled thereto, which, during dose setting, is rotatable relative to a second element about a main rotation axis in a first direction and, during dose discharge, is fixed in rotation relative to the second element. The first and the second elements are coupled via a sleeve-shaped stop element, which forms a stop abutment. The dosing mechanism includes a stop, and the stop abutment, during the rotation of the first element in the first direction, executes a movement to a stop position where the stop abutment strikes the stop and prevents rotation of the first element relative to the second element in the first direction of rotation. The sleeve-shaped stop element is rotatable about a secondary rotation axis, which is offset parallel to or offset at an angle to the main rotation axis.

  • Patent number: 10493212
Abstract: An autoinjector comprises a housing, a product container, a displaceable needle protection sleeve, a plunger rod displaceable by a preloaded discharge spring, a dose setting element with at least two different rotational positions relative to the housing, and a dosing sleeve. The dosing sleeve or the plunger rod has a dose selection stop, and the other has at least one dosing stop. By rotating the dose setting element, the dosing sleeve or the plunger rod is rotated relative to the other. Upon displacement of the needle protection sleeve, the spring displaces the plunger rod, whereby, if the dose setting element is in the first rotational position, the dose selection stop and the first dosing stop strikes against each other, and, if the dose setting element is in the second rotational position, one of the dose selection stop and the first dosing stop is or can be moved past the other.

  • Patent number: 10493213
Abstract: In an elongated casing, an active agent container connected to an injection needle can be shifted axially by a spring force. Auto-injectors which are sold or distributed filled and with the springs tensed have to be provided with a needle protecting cap to ensure the sterility of the injection needle. When such a needle protecting cap is removed as preparation for using the auto-injector, a tensile force can be exerted on the active agent container. Therefore, the active agent container comprising the injection needle must be prevented from being undesirably pulled forwards. At least one latching tongue prevents the active agent container from being prematurely shifted with respect to the casing, by abutting a flange arranged on a sliding sleeve which accommodates the active agent container. When the auto-injector is placed onto a person's skin, a needle protecting tube is shifted into the casing, forcing the latching tongue away from the flange and, thus, freeing the travel path for needle movement.
