  • Patent number: 10350356
Abstract: An autoinjector for dispensing a liquid product includes a housing; a product container arranged in the housing, particularly, a syringe comprising a displaceable piston; a drive member; a first spring which acts on the drive member and the piston to dispense the product from the container; a signal element releasably axially coupled with the drive member so that the signal element is transported in the dispensing direction as the drive member is displaced; and a second spring, which exerts a spring force on the signal element against the dispensing direction and is tensioned as the signal element is transported in the dispensing direction. When the signal element is released or detached from the axial coupling, the second spring causes the signal element to accelerate opposite the dispensing direction and strike against a signal stop and generate an acoustic and/or tactile signal.

  • Patent number: 10149945
Abstract: An injection device provides a casing which accommodates or forms a reservoir for a liquid drug; a plunger rod which can move relative to the casing in an axially forward direction to deliver the drug; and a dosing means which can move in the forward direction relative to the casing to prime the reservoir and which can rotate relative to the casing for selecting a dose to be injected. Rotation of the dosing means relative to the casing is prevented until a priming operation for priming the reservoir is completed. The dosing means comprises a dosing control means which is configured to enable rotation of the dosing means at the end of the priming stroke for selecting the dose and to prevent a rotation of the dosing means back into the position which the dosing means had at the end of the priming stroke relative to the casing.

  • Patent number: 10149948
Abstract: A driving and dosing device for an injection device includes: a housing, a dosing element gripped by a user, an actuating element actuable by the user to discharge the set dose, a propulsion element for acting on a piston to discharge the set dose, a spring configured to act between the propulsion element and an abutment, which is preloaded so as to discharge a maximum dischargeable product quantity in a plurality of individual discharges, a rotation element configured to rotate relative to the housing and a clutch configured for releasably engaging the rotation element. Releasing the clutch permits the rotation element to rotate relative to the housing when the actuating element is actuated, blocks the rotation of the rotation element relative to the housing when the actuating element is released, and by rotation of the rotation element, the spring is permitted to move the propulsion element in the discharge direction.

  • Patent number: 10143806
Abstract: Drive and dosing devices for injection devices are disclosed. An embodiment may include a threaded piston rod moveable in a dispensing direction for dispensing a product. A rotation member may be operatively connected to a stop limiter and threadably engaged with the piston rod. Rotation of the rotation member may cause the piston rod to move in the dispensing direction. An embodiment may include a dose knob rotatable for changing a dose. The device may further include a stop element threadably engaged with the piston rod and having a catch. The dose knob may be coupled with the stop element such that during increase of a dose, the stop element is screwed toward the distal end of the piston rod and the catch is moved towards the stop limiter. The stop element prevents increasing a dose when the catch abuts the stop limiter.

  • Patent number: 9855392
Abstract: In an elongated casing, an active agent container connected to an injection needle can be shifted axially by a spring force. Auto-injectors which are sold or distributed filled and with the springs tensed have to be provided with a needle protecting cap to ensure the sterility of the injection needle. When such a needle protecting cap is removed as preparation for using the auto-injector, a tensile force can be exerted on the active agent container. Therefore, the active agent container comprising the injection needle must be prevented from being undesirably pulled forwards. At least one latching tongue prevents the active agent container from being prematurely shifted with respect to the casing, by abutting a flange arranged on a sliding sleeve which accommodates the active agent container. When the auto-injector is placed onto a person's skin, a needle protecting tube is shifted into the casing, forcing the latching tongue away from the flange and, thus, freeing the travel path for needle movement.
