Abstract: A composition container is described. The composition container includes a reservoir to hold a volume of the composition. The container also includes a dispensing device to dispense the composition from the reservoir onto an application surface. A lighting device of the composition container illuminates a target area of the application surface during the dispensing of the composition from the reservoir onto the application surface. An actuating device of the composition container selectively activates the dispensing device and the lighting device.

Abstract: A system for diffusing one or more volatile compounds included in a volatile compound mass includes a base and a pod tray, carried by the base. At least one pod is carried by the pod tray, the pod having a housing holding a volatile compound mass. The volatile compound mass and the housing are moveable relative to one another. An actuator is carried by the base, the actuator operable to engage the pod and move the housing and the volatile compound mass relative to one another. The pod and the actuator are positionable relative to one another such that the pod and the actuator can be positioned proximate to one another to enable the actuator to engage the pod and move the housing of the pod and the volatile compound mass relative to one another to thereby diffuse the volatile compound.
Abstract: Methods and devices are provided for volatile fluid dispensers with novel activation mechanisms. The device includes a container assembly that includes a reservoir that is sealed to contain a volatile fluid, and an internal barrier. The device also includes a wicking assembly that includes a wick and a puncture element. The application of a force along a longitudinal axis of the wick to the puncture element breaks an internal barrier and allows the fluid in the reservoir to contact the wick.

Abstract: Liquid abrasive cleanser compositions sprayable through conventional manual trigger sprayers comprise a polyalkylene glycol, a nonionic surfactant, a pH adjusting agent, an abrasive, and water, wherein sprayability is made possible by the addition of the polyalkylene glycol. The compositions that are sprayable and acceptable as hard surface cleaners comprise polyethylene glycol as the polyalkylene glycol. The addition of polyethylene glycol having molecular weight of from about 4,000 to about 1,000,000 dramatically increases the sprayer output volume of liquid abrasive compositions having greater than or equal to 10 wt. % calcium carbonate. Addition of polyethylene glycol of molecular weight of from about 4,000 to about 100,000 converts otherwise non-sprayable liquid abrasive compositions into reliably sprayable compositions.

Abstract: A device is provided for applying a product to the skin. The device includes a tape with a layer of the product disposed on a surface of the tape. The device includes a support. A portion of the tape passes over the support such that the tape is between the support and the product. When the tape moves across the skin, the product transfers from the tape to the skin and the tape advances.
Abstract: The present invention is method of boosting the performance of a cost-reduced liquid fabric softener comprising a quaternary surfactant fabric softener by adding a quaternary (meth)acrylic polymer that functions dually as a fabric softening active and a rheology modifier. In particular, poly[{2-(methacryloyloxy)ethyl}trimethylammonium chloride], poly[{2-(acryloyloxy)ethyl}trimethylammonium chloride], poly[{3-(methacryloyloxy)propyl}trimethylammonium chloride], and poly[{3-(acryloyloxy)propyl}trimethylammonium chloride] provide synergistic fabric softening with quaternary surfactants to provide superior fabric softening scores from cost-optimized compositions.
Abstract: Composition and methods are provided for analgesic cleansing compositions, which may be either wash-off or leave-on cleansing compositions. Such compositions comprise a number of surfactants and a number of analgesic compounds, and may optionally comprise antibacterial agents and/or a cosmetically suitable carrier. A method of making an analgesic soap composition is also provided. A method of using a wash-off analgesic cleansing composition is also provided.

Abstract: Methods and apparatus are provided for an exfoliating anti-acne face cleansing composition. The exfoliating anti-acne face cleansing composition includes an anti-acne active ingredient and exfoliating particles. The exfoliating anti-acne face cleansing composition further includes a high molecular weight polymer having a molecular weight at least equal to ten kiloDaltons (kD) and a moisturizer. A ratio of the high molecular weight polymer to total formula solids is between 8:100 and 12:100. A ratio of the high molecular weight polymer to an amount of moisturizer is between 4:10 and 9:10. A pH of the exfoliating anti-acne face cleansing composition is less than 5.0.
Abstract: Compositions and apparatus are provided for controlling a release of a cleaning agent with silica particles. Silica particles disposed within the gel composition and are configured to at least partially dissolve in an alkaline environment. Further, an active cleaning agent sorbed by the silica particles is configured to be released from the silica particles upon partial dissolution of the silica particles.
Abstract: Processes for making an antiperspirant emulsion composition and antiperspirant emulsion compositions are provided herein. In an embodiment, a process for making an antiperspirant emulsion composition includes combining water and an antiperspirant active component to form a water phase. A hydrophobic carrier and a structurant are combined to form an oil phase. The structurant has a melting point above ambient temperature. The oil phase is heated to a first temperature of at least a melting point of the structurant that is disposed in the oil phase. The water phase and the heated oil phase are mixed to form the antiperspirant emulsion composition. The antiperspirant emulsion composition is cooled under continued mixing.
