Abstract: A personal cleansing composition includes a carrier, and a first plurality of beads entrained in the carrier. The beads impart, to a user applying the cleansing composition with hand rubbing force, perceivable tactility for a limited predetermined duration that corresponds to a minimum adequate cleansing time period. In accordance with another embodiment of the present invention, the personal cleansing composition further includes a second plurality of beads entrained in the carrier. The second plurality of beads imparts to the user a perceivable change in color for the cleansing composition for a second limited predetermined duration that is substantially equal to the duration that the tactility imparted by the first plurality of beads is perceivable to the user.

Abstract: A closure for a non-refillable bottle is provided wherein the closure is designed to break apart into at least two portions when an attempt is made to pry the closure from the bottle. The breakage is directed across a frangible demarcation that is configured such that breakage of the closure into pieces does not compromise the seal of the closure on the bottle.
Abstract: Methods of treating fabric in a dryer and the fabric treatment devices used to provide the fabric treatment composition to the fabric are disclosed. More particularly, methods of treating fabric in a dryer that provides treatment of fabric, including fragrance delivery onto the fabrics, during a multiple of treatment device uses, which may be useful in laundry drying applications and may also provide effective fragrance delivery to the laundered and dried fabrics are provided herein.

Abstract: A personal cleansing composition includes soap at a concentration of at least 10 weight percent of the composition; and talc having a primarily triclinic crystal structure, the talc being included at a concentration of between 0.1 and 15 weight percent of the composition. A method for enhancing lathering properties of a bar soap includes the step of molding a bar soap from such a composition.
Abstract: A water in oil emulsion composition includes an antiperspirant active, an emulsifier, and a combination of polyalkylene glycols making up between about 1 and about 12 wt. % of the total composition. The combination includes H[OCH2CH2]mOH (I), and H[OCHCH3CH2]nOH (II) in a ratio I:II ranging between about 1.5:1 and about 1:1.5.
Abstract: A cosmetic agent that takes the place of powdered talc is described herein. The present cosmetic agent is a skin conditioning and lubricating crème comprising talc; at least one volatile silicone fluid; at least one structuring component; and at least one emollient. The inventive composition provides skin conditioning and lubrication without the inconveniences inherent in using powdered products such as talcum powder.
Abstract: The present invention is a non-aqueous self-standing rigid fragrance gel comprising fragrance oil and a hydroxylalkyl cellulose derivative. In the preferred embodiment of the present invention, about 4.0 weight percent or more of hydroxylpropyl cellulose converts fragrance oil into a rigid gel with pseudoplastic rheology. The pseudoplastic gel shears to allow coating of crystals and objects, with subsequent rigidity restored to at least 80%.
Abstract: Processes for making an antiperspirant emulsion composition and antiperspirant emulsion compositions are provided herein. In an embodiment, a process for making an antiperspirant emulsion composition includes combining water and an antiperspirant active component to form a water phase. A hydrophobic carrier and a structurant are combined to form an oil phase. The structurant has a melting point above ambient temperature. The oil phase is heated to a first temperature of at least a melting point of the structurant that is disposed in the oil phase. The water phase and the heated oil phase are mixed to form the antiperspirant emulsion composition. The antiperspirant emulsion composition is cooled under continued mixing.
Abstract: An antiperspirant composition includes an antiperspirant active compound and a particulate opacifying agent. The antiperspirant active compound is based upon an astringent metallic salt. The particulate opacifying agent has a refractive index greater than a comparable antiperspirant composition absent the particulate opacifying agent, provided that a difference in refractive index between the particulate opacifying agent and the comparable antiperspirant composition absent the particulate opacifying agent is less than or equal to about 0.3. An antiperspirant product including a container and the antiperspirant composition disposed in the container is also provided.
Abstract: Silicone-free antiperspirant compositions and methods for fabricating silicone-free antiperspirant compositions are provided. In accordance with an exemplary embodiment, an antiperspirant composition includes an active antiperspirant compound, stearyl alcohol, a C14-C16 fatty alcohol, and a carrier fluid. The carrier fluid is composed of a first volatile hydrocarbon component selected from a C12-C14 hydrocarbon, a second volatile hydrocarbon selected from a C13-C16 hydrocarbon, and at least one non-volatile hydrocarbon component.
Abstract: An apparatus for dispensing a personal care product includes a housing, a first panel disposed inside the housing and including a plurality of receptacles, and a first key that is sized to be interchangeably received in each of the receptacles. The apparatus further includes a container sized and shaped to be secured in a particular orientation within the housing, and having a surface that faces the panel when the container is secured in the particular orientation within the housing. A first depression is formed in the container surface to complement with specificity the first key's exterior shape and positioned to pair with the key when the container is secured in the particular orientation within the housing and the key is received in one of the receptacles.
Abstract: Antiperspirant emulsion products and processes for forming antiperspirant emulsion products are provided. One process for making an antiperspirant emulsion product comprises the steps of heating and mixing water and an active antiperspirant compound to a first temperature to form a water phase. A hydrophobic carrier, a structurant, and cetyl PEG/PPG-10/1 dimethicone are heated and mixed to a second temperature that is greater than the first temperature to melt the structurant and form an oil phase. The oil phase is cooled and mixed to a third temperature. The water phase is gradually added to the oil phase to form an antiperspirant emulsion so that the water phase is present in an amount of from about 54 to about 89 wt. % and the oil phase is present in an amount of from about 11 to about 46 wt. % of the antiperspirant emulsion.
Abstract: Antiperspirant compositions with improved efficacy for shaving and methods for preparing the same are provided. In another exemplary embodiment, a method for preparing an antiperspirant composition includes combining an active antiperspirant compound, a suspending agent, and a carrier at a first temperature to form a mixture and cooling the mixture to form a cooled mixture having a second temperature that is lower than the first temperature. The exemplary method further includes combining a hair minimizing compound and a skin lubricating compound to the mixture and pouring the mixture into a mold at a third temperature that is lower than the second temperature.
Abstract: Dyes and methods of selecting dyes for use in personal care products are provided. An exemplary method includes selecting a dye concentration of a dye that is brightly or intensely colored, determining a dye concentration of the dye that does not change the color of skin or minimally changes the color of skin, and determining a dye concentration of the dye that does not transfer color or minimally transfers color. An exemplary dye includes, by weight percent of the personal care product in which such dye is provided, approximately 0.001500% Red 33 dye and 0.003750% Orange 4 dye.
