Abstract: A system and method are provided for facilitating the exchange of data between one or more price providers and customers who communicate with the price providers through various portals, each of which may use it own data format. In transmitting data from customer to price provider, the data output from each portal is normalized to a standardized format and then transmitted to the appropriate price provider(s) where the data exchanged with the various portals can be viewed by a trader at a single display or can be exchanged with an automated pricing engine. The customer may also be provided with a universal Web site at which a customer may access any of the portals' Web sites to simplify access for the customer as well.
Abstract: Tactical firearm systems and methods of manufacturing tactical firearm systems are discussed herein. In some embodiments, a tactical weapons platform can comprise a forend assembly adapted to house a portion of a barrel; a receiver assembly detachably coupled to the forend assembly and adapted to interface with a bolt action; and a butt stock assembly detachably coupled to the receiver assembly. In other embodiments, a modular stock assembly for a bolt action rifle can generally comprise a forend assembly, a receiver assembly, and a butt stock assembly. The forend assembly can have a body adapted to house a barrel in a free floating configuration, wherein the body surrounds at least a portion of the length of the barrel. The receiver assembly can be detachably coupled to the forend assembly and adapted to directly interface with a bolt action without bedding. The butt stock assembly can be detachably coupled the receiver assembly by a hinge.

Abstract: A retractable safety syringe includes a retractable needle hub holding a needle and having a first guiding means; and a hollow barrel having a second guiding means set correspondingly to the first guiding means; and a collapsible plunger comprising of a first plunger element having a protrusion releasably coupled with a second plunger element having a longitudinal slot with a pinched zone to curb the movement of said protrusion; and a spring disposed between the needle hub and hollow barrel and acts between the needle hub and the hollow barrel. The uncoupling of the collapsible plunger triggers the retraction mechanism to enable the needle hub to retract into the barrel by the decompression force of a spring. The reliability of retraction is further improved by a longitudinal slot and a protrusion to facilitate the retreating of the collapsible plunger in an orderly way.

Abstract: A method and system are provided for processing communications between travel service providers and travel insurers where travel service providers use different messaging formats. A travel service provider transmits itinerary data to a travel insurer in one messaging format. The travel insurer may then convert the itinerary data into a format compatible with the travel insurer's system and determine an optimal policy choice based on the itinerary data. The travel insurer may then transmit this choice to the travel service provider in the travel service provider's preferred messaging format, and the travel service provider offers the product to the consumer through the travel service provider's interface.

Abstract: An app store provides a searchable catalog of selectable elements representing programs that provide capabilities for enabling the online presence of a customer, and automatically installs such programs and enables such web presence-enabling capabilities upon selection by the customer of the selectable element.
Abstract: Methods and systems related to guided workflows for establishing a web presence include a customer user interface with a guided workflow layer based on a knowledge base about the customer, wherein the customer interface allows a customer to manage a customer's web presence based on operation of a logic engine that accesses information about what a customer has done and who the customer is (e.g. type of business), wherein the user interface presents a guided workflow of tasks associated with a recommended area of improvement for the customer.
Abstract: Underwriting systems and methods include a non-transitory, tangible computer-readable storage medium bearing instructions for performing underwriting steps for a mortgage insurance product for a mortgage between a borrower and a lender. A processor is adapted to execute an underwriting program contained on the computer-readable medium. A web-enabled interface is adapted to exchange information with partner sites, including to receive loan information, to send mortgage insurance information generated by the underwriting program, and to receive borrower credit information.
Abstract: A medically safety injector comprises a needle hub attached by a needle, a hollow barrel for engaging with the needle hub and guiding the needle hub to retract into the hollow barrel, and a plunger combination settled in the hollow barrel. The plunger combination comprises a retractable plunger and a hollow shank partially telescoped with the retractable plunger, wherein at least one raised portion is formed on an outer wall of the retractable plunger and at a telescoping portion for engaging at least one depression formed on an inner wall of the hollow shank so that when the plunger combination continuously receives a pushing force after the medically safety injector is used to perform the injection operation, the retractable plunger can smoothly retract into the hollow shank. Consequently, space in the hollow barrel originally occupied by the retractable plunger or hollow shank is freed for accommodating the retracted needle hub.
Abstract: Dynamic messaging systems and methods include a non-transitory, tangible computer-readable storage medium bearing instructions for performing dynamic messaging steps. A request message is received from a partner site based on a travel product selected by a customer from the partner site. The request message is analyzed using a dynamic messaging service (DMS) module operating within the computer system. A travel insurance product is identified and a message-content is selected from a database based upon information received from the partner site concerning the selected travel product. A quote for the identified travel insurance product is generated. The quotation and the message-content are compiled into a return message, which is communicated to the partner site for display to the customer.
