Abstract: This application relates to organic synthesis, and more particularly to a method for the continuous flow synthesis of (R)-4-halo-3-hydroxy-butyrate using a micro-reaction system. This application performs an enzymatic asymmetric reduction of a substrate solution containing halogenated acetoacetate and a biocatalyst solution in the micro-reaction system composed of a micro-mixer, a micro-channel reactor, and a pH regulator to obtain the (R)-4-halo-3-hydroxy-butyrate. Compared to the prior art, the reaction time of the method is only a few minutes, the yield of the product (R)-4-halo-3-hydroxy-butyrate is greater than 95%, the reaction process is continuous, the degree of automation is high, the efficiency is high, and the process is simple to operate and easy to be used in industrialized production.
Abstract: The present disclosure to an electrolyte membrane containing a polyfluorene-based ionomer, and more particularly, to an electrolyte membrane containing a polyfluorene-based ionomer which has a fluorene main chain composed of only a carbon-carbon bond and a side chain composed of a perfluorosulfonic acid group. The electrolyte membrane containing the polyfluorene-based ionomer has high proton conductivity, excellent chemical durability, excellent mechanical property, and excellent volume stability.

Abstract: An RF catheter for treating hypertrophic cardiomyopathy includes: a body part constituting a catheter body made of a flexible and soft material; and an intraseptal insertion part provided at a distal part of the body part and having one or more electrodes, a tapered tip gradually becoming thinner toward an end thereof, and a guidewire lumen therein, into which a guidewire is inserted, so that during hypertrophic cardiomyopathy treatment, the intraseptal insertion part is inserted into the interventricular septum along the guidewire. A method of treating hypertrophic cardiomyopathy by using an RF ablation catheter includes: i) positioning the guidewire to a hypertrophied septum through a coronary sinus and a septal vein; ii) transferring the RF ablation catheter to the hypertrophied septum; and iii) performing RF ablation by applying RF energy to the electrodes provided at an end part of the RF ablation catheter by using an RF generator.

Abstract: Silica nanocarriers hybridized with superparamagnetic iron oxide nanoparticles (“SPIONs”) and curcumin through equilibrium or enforced adsorption technique. Methods for dual delivery of SPIONs and curcumin to a target for diagnosis or therapy, for example, for SPION-based magnetic resonance imaging or for targeted delivery of curcumin to a cell or tissue. The technique can be extend to co-precipitation of mixed metal oxide involving Ni, Mn, Co and Cu oxide. The calcination temperature can be varied from 500-900° C. The nanocombination is functionalized with chitosan, polyacrylic acid, PLGA or another agent to increase its biocompatibility in vivo.

Abstract: The present disclosure provides a method for evaluating a geological storage amount of carbon dioxide (CO2) in a fractured-vuggy carbonate reservoir, including: performing image identification on a three-dimensional scanned image of a rock sample to obtain identified rock information; inputting the identified rock information to a computational fluid dynamics-based numerical simulator for constructing a fractured-vuggy rock structure model, and obtaining geometric topological information of the rock sample based on the fractured-vuggy rock structure model; inputting relevant parameters of the rock sample and the geometric topological information to a multi-scale multi-phase flow numerical model for numerical simulation of multi-phase flow migration of CO2 in models of different scales and obtaining a multi-scale numerical simulation result; and calculating a multi-scale CO2 storage efficiency based on the multi-scale numerical simulation result.
Abstract: The present invention provides a comprehensive assay capable of comprehensively measuring interactive factors for a variety of different types of proteins. In the present invention, provided is a system for detecting activation of a protein by integrating, with mediation of a plurality of factors, changes in the transcriptional regulatory region of a gene whose expression is changed by activation of the protein. The stimulation response ratio of transcription activity before and after stimulation by ligands possessed by individual transcriptional regulatory regions is synergistically integrated, so that a highly sensitive reporter assay system can be constructed.
