Abstract: An embodiment of a method of providing identity assurance for a decentralized application (DApp) includes executing, by at least one distributed node of a blockchain system, an entitlement contract stored on the blockchain to perform a read call from a DApp contract stored on the blockchain, the read call including an address signing a transaction to the DApp contract. Performing the read call may include reading a list of registered addresses stored on the blockchain, determining whether the list includes the signing address; and providing an output indicating whether the list includes the signing address. The method may further include executing, by the at least one distributed node, a registry contract stored on the blockchain to perform a read call from the DApp contract, the read call including an identifier of the decentralized application.

Abstract: Systems, methods, interfaces, and software can facilitate identification of law firms and/or legal professionals. For example, an informational retrieval system may include a database comprising information regarding lawyers and a server is configured to: receive a query regarding a legal issue from at least one client access device; associate the query with a corresponding legal context; generate a list of lawyer names contained in the database; calculate at least one legal experience indicator for each of the lawyer names; and rank the lawyer names in the list according to the calculated legal experience indicator associated with each of the lawyer names and according to the corresponding legal context associated with the query.

Abstract: One aspect of the invention provides a computer system having processing and memory means operable to provide a monetized online content system. The computer system is coupled to one or more resource modules each having data in the memory means and includes: an interceptor module configured to receive a request from a client for one or more resources available from one or more resource modules, refer the request to one or more of the resource modules configured to fulfill the request, receive one or more responses from one or more of the resource modules, at least one of said one or more responses having one or more events associated therewith, and transform the one or more responses by removing the one or more events associated with the one or more responses prior to presentation of the one or more responses to the client.

Abstract: The present disclosure is directed towards systems and methods for performing updates in a distributed environment, which comprises receiving a platform product and a plurality of supporting products at a server, the server being accessible by one or more access devices and receiving a plurality of modified supporting products at the server, a given modified supporting product corresponding to a given supporting product. A determination is made as to whether a given one of the plurality of supporting products is in use by the one or more access devices. If the given one of the plurality of supporting products is not in use, the given one of the plurality of supporting products is overwritten with the corresponding modified supporting platform product. If the given one of the plurality of supporting products is in use, the given one of the plurality of supporting products is locked until its use terminates.

Abstract: Disclosed is a system and method for incentivizing participants on an electronic trading venue to post competitively priced bids or offers onto that venue. Participants that post such bids and offers are rewarded by a venue implementing the invention by being sent more frequent (and/or enhanced) market data updates over participants who do not, while those bids and offers remain active and competitive. Participants that receive more frequent market data updates from a venue may have an informational advantage in their trading over those participants that receive less frequent updates.

Abstract: A method includes aggregating a set of analyzed webpage portions from at least two unaffiliated websites. The method also includes transmitting an aggregated result, the aggregated result associated with an aggregated set of analyzed webpage portions. Another embodiment includes the set of analyzed webpage portions being associated with a topic. Yet another embodiment includes receiving an indication of an occurrence of a browser event and analyzing, in response to receiving the indication, a webpage portion then storing an analyzed webpage portion and the browser event in a database. Yet another embodiment includes analyzing the webpage portion by downloading a webpage portion from at least one website, extracting a text portion from the webpage portion and associating, in response to extracting the text portion, at least one topic from the text portion.

Abstract: An embodiment of a method of recording transactions conducted in a public distributed ledger system using a personal distributed ledger system includes: generating, by a wallet distributed application, an address in the public distributed ledger system and a private key; signing, by the wallet distributed application, a transaction to a distributed application in the public distributed ledger system using the generated address and private key; generating, by the wallet distributed application, a transaction to the personal distributed ledger system, the generated transaction containing information identifying the signed transaction to the public distributed ledger system, such as the private key used to sign the transaction; and transmitting, by the wallet distributed application, the transaction to at least one distributed node of the personal distributed ledger system.

Abstract: An embodiment of a method of providing identity services includes receiving identity data from an identity user, the identity data related to an identity of the identity user; receiving validation data from an identity provider, the validation data related to the identity data; if the validation data indicates that the identity data is valid, generating a transaction to store data related to the identity of the identity user on a blockchain of a blockchain system, the data to be stored including a representation of at least one of: the identity data, or the validation data; and transmitting the transaction to at least one distributed node of the blockchain system.

Abstract: An exemplary method includes accessing a source document where the source document is associated with a citation and copying a selected portion of the source document. Then, in response to copying the selected portion, the method includes generating a referenced element where the referenced element consists of the selected portion and a hyperlink associated with the citation. Finally, the method includes accessing a destination document and inserting the referenced element into the destination document. An additional exemplary method further includes storing a copy of the referenced element in a memory of an access device. Another exemplary method includes annotating the destination document and generating an annotated destination document. Another exemplary method includes printing, within a single print session, the annotated destination document and the source document.

Abstract: In one example embodiment, a system and method are shown for receiving data that include a time stamp. The system and method also include building an Online Analytical Processing (OLAP) cube that includes a dimension, the dimension acting as a schema for the data that include the time stamp. The system and method may also include populating the OLAP cube with an object, the object including the data and the time stamp as at least one attribute. The system and method may also include storing the OLAP cube.

Abstract: Exemplary systems for processing a corpus of documents, such as legal contracts or agreements, are disclosed. The systems include a phrase discovery engine which derives statistics and phrase equivalence classes, groups of phrase equivalence classes, and uberphrases (clauses) bounded by phrases. These can be used to determine origins of phrases or clauses within given legal contract or to suggest alternative phrases and clauses.

Abstract: A system to determine the tax consequences for one or several special apportionment accounts is described. The example system may include a data collector and an optimizer. The data collector may be configured to obtain information associated with one or more accounts, and a selection of one or more jurisdictions. The optimizer may be configured to automatically determine a suggested combination of special apportionment methods for each jurisdiction.

Abstract: An embodiment of a method of providing financial data to a financial instrument smart contract in a distributed ledger system includes: receiving, by an oracle smart contract in the distributed ledger system, a transaction from the financial instrument smart contract, the transaction including registration data having an identification of financial data to be delivered and an identification of a schedule on which to deliver the financial data; generating a transaction including the financial data; and transmitting the generated transaction to at least one distributed node of the distributed ledger system according to the requested schedule.

Abstract: The present invention relates to software and a method of use for implementing workflows and managing engagements and staff. More particularly, the present invention relates to a software module tracking data of staff, engagements and workflows and a method of using such data in the management of staff and assignment of tasks. Information concerning employees is input into a database by the manager and the employees, and is tracked therein. The information concerning an employee includes an employee's availability, ability and experience. Workflow/Task information is input into the database when either a client makes a request for service of the business, or a workflow/task internal to the business is needed to be performed. Task information includes the nature of the work and deadlines. Task information is compared to the employee information. A list is automatically generated naming the employees best suited to the mandate of the task.

The facility provides an interface usable by at least one user affiliated with the second organization to provide the distinguished information. Only after the interface is used by a user affiliated with the second organization to provide the distinguished information, the facility permits at least one user affiliated with the second organization to perform a distinguished process.

Abstract: The present disclosure is directed towards a citation formatting system and a method for operating an online research service for providing legal citations. The exemplary system provides the citation formatting function in a client-server architecture, receiving citations from a user's client access device over a computer network and communicating citation format suggestions back to the client access device for possible insertion into a document on the access device.

Abstract: An electronic trading venue (ETV) may prioritize maker orders that specify or are associated with cancel delay values by selecting a maker order to be matched with taker orders before competing maker orders, at the same price level for a given instrument, that have smaller or no cancel delay values. Such prioritization may occur even if the competing maker orders were received before the maker order. A cancel delay value indicates an amount of time that must pass after a request to cancel a maker order is received before the ETV actually cancels the maker order. Thus, in exchange for prioritization, maker orders will be subject to a cancellation delay that starts after a cancel request is received and during which a maker order will not be canceled. Takers may benefit from this by being able to match with a maker order before it can be canceled.

Abstract: Systems and techniques are disclosed to rank documents by analyzing a query log generated by a search engine. The query log includes data relating to user behavior, queries and documents. The systems and techniques distill query log information into surrogate documents and extract features from these surrogate documents to rank the documents.
