  • Patent number: 9880194
Abstract: The disclosure concerns an actuator module (10) for actuating a load (14). The actuator module (10) comprises a deformable frame (1) and an actuator (2) connected to the deformable frame (1). A time-varying force distribution (F) couples to an excited state (V0) of an eigenmode (V) of the deformable frame (1). The force distribution (F), as well as a stiffness distribution (K) and/or mass distribution (M) of the deformable frame 1 are adapted such that static nodal points (11s) of the deformable frame 1 are coincided with mode nodal points (11m). The locations where the nodal points coincide can be used to connect the actuator module (10) to a base frame to reduce transfer of vibrations to the base frame and back which may otherwise undesirably influence the transfer function from actuator to load. The disclosure further concerns a method for designing and/or manufacturing the actuator module.

Abstract: A system comprises a first network to which at least one user device and a gateway device are connected, which gateway device is also connected to a second network and is configured to cooperate with a virtual gateway application accommodated in the second network. A method of managing the system comprises the step of accommodating an auxiliary virtual gateway application in the at least one user device, which auxiliary virtual gateway application is configured for providing at least some functionalities of the virtual gateway application when communication between the gateway device and the virtual gateway application is lost. Although the virtual gateway application and the auxiliary gateway application may have distinct sets of functionalities, it is preferred that these applications each have DHCP functionality. This allows the auxiliary virtual gateway application to take over DHCP functions when communication with the second network is lost.

  • Patent number: 9875243
Abstract: A recommender system provides recommendation scores based on stored ratings for media items, for example to assist control of selection of a media item for rendering by a terminal. Data representing stored rating values for media items is stored in a storage system for use to compute the recommendation scores. A processing system records an input rating value for a first one of the media items in the storage system, based on measured activity or input of a user. Furthermore information is acquired about a group of users in the company of which the input rating value applies for the user. This information is recorded in combination with the rating value. The processing system may compute a recommendation score for a second group of users from the stored rating values, dependent on a comparison of the second group of users and the recorded information about the group.

  • Patent number: 9859247
Abstract: A method is provided for assembly of a micro-electronic component, in which a conductive die bonding material is used. This material includes a conductive thermosettable resin material or flux based solder and a dynamic release layer adjacent to the conductive thermoplastic material die bonding material layer A laser beam is impinged on the dynamic release layer, adjacent to the die bonding material layer, in such a way that the dynamic release layer is activated to direct conductive die bonding material matter towards the pad structure to be treated, to cover a selected part of the pad structure with a transferred conductive die bonding material. The laser beam is restricted in timing and energy, in such a way that the die bonding material matter remains thermosetting. Accordingly, adhesive matter can be transferred while preventing that the adhesive is rendered ineffective by thermal overexposure in the transferring process.

  • Patent number: 9820134
Abstract: The invention enables a device to discover one or more other devices within range for a device-to-device mode of communication. This proximity discovery may trigger a target device, e.g. to start listening to signals from a source device or perform any other action based on the proximity discovery like e.g. charging at a toll gate. A source device that wants to be discovered broadcasts a message including an identifier or a representation of the identifier. This identifier may be an identifier of the target device to be contacted or of the source device or a derivation thereof or a common security association used by a set of peers. The target device compares the broadcast identifier with a known identifier to establish proximity discovery.

  • Publication number: 20170317356
Abstract: A system and method for manufacturing a micropillar array (20). A carrier (11) is provided with a layer of metal ink (20i). A high energy light source (14) irradiates the metal ink (20i) via a mask (13) between the carrier (11) and the light source. The mask is configured to pass a cross-section illuminated image of the micropillar array onto the metal ink (20i), thereby causing a patterned sintering of the metal ink (20i) to form a first subsection layer (21) of the micropillar array (20) in the layer of metal ink (20i). A further layer of the metal ink (20i) is applied on top of the first subsection layer (21) of the micropillar array (20) and irradiated via the mask (13) to form a second subsection layer (21) of the micropillar array on top. The process is repeated to achieve high aspect ratio micropillars 20p.

  • Patent number: 9800908
Abstract: In an embodiment, synchronization of data processing by a first and second receiver is enabled by the first receiver processing data units of a first broadcast stream, with a play-out delay ?tp defining a time interval between transmission of a data unit to the first receiver and the processing of the data unit by the first receiver. Transmission of data units of a second broadcast stream is initiated to the second receiver, a common timeline correlating one or more data unit in the first stream with one or more corresponding data unit in the second stream. One or more data units is selected from stored data units corresponding to the second stream. At least part of the selected data units have corresponding data units of the first stream that have been transmitted to the first receiver but that have not been processed by the first receiver due to the play-out delay.
