  • Patent number: 7515146
Abstract: The ripple component superimposed on the drive power source Va applied to the source electrode of a light emission drive transistor Tr2 is extracted by a ripple component extraction circuit 14, and the ripple component is supplied to one input terminal of a voltage addition circuit 15. A data voltage Vdata transmitted via a data line is input to the other input terminal of the voltage addition circuit 15. Accordingly, in the voltage addition circuit 15, the ripple component extracted by the ripple component extraction circuit 14 is added to the data voltage Vdata treating the data voltage Vdata as the base. Its output is supplied to a scan selection transistor designated by reference character SW1 as Vgate, and the transistor Tr1 is turned on at an addressing time so that the Vgate is supplied to the gate of the light emission drive transistor Tr2.

  • Publication number: 20090058277
Abstract: The new organic electroluminescent display device has a carrier-transporting layer and/or an organic luminous layer composed of a nematic liquid crystal or a liquid crystal dispersing a carrier-transporting low-molecule therein. When the organic luminous layer is to be bestowed with faculty as a liquid crystal, it is made of a nematic liquid crystal. Both the carrier-transporting layer and the organic luminous layer may be bestowed with faculty as a liquid crystal. Since the liquid crystal is incorporated in the carrier-transporting layer and/or the organic luminous layer, the display device can be driven as a liquid crystal display device in a dark place by charging with a voltage lower than a light emission initiating potential. Of course, it is driven as an electroluminescent display device when it is charged with a voltage higher than the light emission initiating potential. Use of an electroluminescent liquid crystal as a organic luminous layer enables omission of a carrier-transporting layer.

  • Patent number: 7499563
Abstract: In a speaker device, when an excessive driving signal larger than a withstand input is inputted to a voice coil, a voice coil bobbin moves with large magnitude. When the voice coil bobbin largely moves on a side opposite to a sound emitting side (downward), each component of the speaker device collides with each other and a large abnormal sound occurs. Therefore, a connecting member and a pot type yoke are designed to collide with each other via a buffer member in an area E1, for example, when the voice coil moves downward with the large magnitude. Namely, the buffer member is attached on a bottom surface of a bent portion of the connecting member, opposite to an upper surface of a cylindrical portion of the pot type yoke, in a circumferential direction.

  • Publication number: 20090053963
Abstract: The present invention is to ensure that when it has been judged that film-formation areas of a plurality of layers laminated on the same luminescent areas of organic EL devices involve a defect, it is possible to exactly find which layer of the multi-laminated layers is a defective layer. The film formation areas of layers to be laminated on luminescent area are formed in a manner such that overlap deviations e1-e3 are intentionally formed.

  • Patent number: 7479955
Abstract: In a light emitting display panel 10, a large number of light emitting display pixels 10a are arranged in a matrix pattern, and a monitoring element Ex is provided therein which can extract a voltage which corresponds to the forward voltage of EL elements E1 on the display panel. By a signal from a current consumption detection section 14 which detects current consumption in the light emitting display panel 10, a drive ratio control section 15 performs ON/OFF control of a transistor Tr3 which is connected in series to the monitoring element Ex to control current provided from a constant current circuit. Thus, progression rates of agings of the monitoring element Ex and the EL elements E1 arranged in the display panel can be controlled to roughly coincide with each other, and a power loss generated in a light emission drive transistor Tr2 in each pixel 10a can be restrained as much as possible.

  • Patent number: 7471288
Abstract: A clock signal in synchronization with a data writing signal, every scanning line, which is supplied from a light-emitting control circuit 4 to a scanning driver 6, is supplied to an oscillator 12 which generates a reference switching signal, according to a PWM method, in a DC-DC converter 8. Thereby, the timing at data writing every scanning line is in synchronization with the phase of a ripple component superimposed on a driving voltage Va from the DC-DC converter 8. Accordingly, a problem that there is caused a state in which light-emitting intensity is different every scanning line can be solved because the same voltage Vgs between a gate and a source is supplied every scanning line to a light-emitting driving transistor Tr2 at any time even if the ripple component by switching of the DC-DC converter is superimposed on the driving voltage Va.

  • Patent number: 7379556
Abstract: A speaker device includes an acoustic capacity unit; an acoustic pipe connected to the acoustic capacity unit; and a driving speaker attached to the acoustic capacity unit. The acoustic capacity unit and the acoustic pipe constitute the Helmholtz resonator, and resonate at a predetermined Helmholtz resonant frequency. On the other hand, the acoustic pipe itself has a resonant frequency. By setting the resonant frequency of the acoustic pipe to be 0.5 to 2.5 octaves higher than the Helmholtz resonant frequency, the speaker device can be obtained which outputs signals of continuous frequency band from the Helmholtz resonant frequency to the resonant frequency of the acoustic pipe.
