  • Patent number: 5700992
Abstract: A heating device has a plurality of strip heating portions separated by a plurality of slits. The strip heating portions are connected to one another by connecting portions, thereby forming a heating surface in which a zigzag current path extends. The connecting portions in which uneven-temperature regions exist are bent so as not to be positioned in the same plane as the heating surface, thereby making the heating surface, to be opposed to an object to be heated, to have a uniform temperature.

  • Patent number: 5595693
Abstract: A reference pressure of melted material injected to a mold cavity of a mold is set as a function of injection passing time from a start of an injecting process or a function of a distance of movement of an injection plunger, and the movement of the plunger is started at a temporarily constant injection speed. A correction value of the injection speed is obtained to eliminate a difference between a sensed pressure of the melted material injected to the mold cavity of the mold and the reference pressure in a range that the sensed pressure of the melted material exceeds the reference pressure during the injection passing time from the start of the injection process wherein the plunger is started to move or during the movement of the plunger, and the injection speed is corrected in accordance with the corrected value.

  • Patent number: 5346522
Abstract: A method and apparatus are disclosed which place a glass blank on a lower mold arranged in an opposed relation to an upper mold, heat these molds and glass blank by an infrared lamp unit or high-frequency coil arranged around the molds and press-mold an optical glass element. In the method and apparatus, the infrared lamp unit or high-frequency coil is supported by a supporting mechanism such that it is movable along a direction in which the mold is moved. In cases where a relative position of the infrared lamp unit or high-frequency coil to the mold varies depending upon the shape and size of such molds or the shape and size of optical glass elements obtained, the infrared lamp or high-frequency coil is adjustably moved relative to the mold by a movable mechanism using a motor or air cylinder as an operation source. By using temperature sensors attached to both the molds, the temperatures of the upper and lower molds are controlled to a corresponding desired level.

  • Patent number: 5335705
Abstract: After a container is placed on a rest base beneath a beverage dispensing section where a dispensing outlet is provided, a dispensing button is depressed and a stepping motor constituting a base tilting drive device is driven for a predetermined time period to cause a linear head to be extended so that the rest base and hence a container is tilted as one unit. A dispensing valve drive device is operated to open a dispensing valve and dispense a bubbling beverage along an inner wall of the container, while suppressing any excessive formation of bubbles. When a bubble surface or liquid level of the beverage dispensed into the container rises to a predetermined level, the stepping motor is reversely driven to bring the container to an erect state. When the container becomes full with the beverage, the dispensing valve is closed, stopping the dispensing of the beverage.

  • Patent number: 5182117
Abstract: In a heating/cooling unit for selectively heating or cooling a set of dies, oil received in a reservoir is supplied to a flow direction changeover valve by a first oil pump. In a stably mode, oil is returned to the reservoir through the changeover valve and a heat exchanger. In a heating mode, the oil is supplied to a second oil pump from the changeover valve through a check valve. The second oil pump supplies the oil to an oil heater, and the heated oil is introduced into a fluid path formed in the dies to heat the dies. The oil discharged from the fluid path of the dies is returned to the second oil pump. Thus, the heated oil is circulated in a closed loop in the heating mode. In a cooling mode, new oil is supplied to the fluid path of the dies from the changeover valve and the oil discharged from the fluid path is guided to the heat exchanger through a switching valve and the cooling oil is returned to the reservoir.
