Abstract: Controlling the authorization of financial transactions, such as credit card transactions. Financial institutions and businesses can establish accounts for employees that have an authorization process that augments the normal authorization process, where this augmented authorization process can result in approving transactions that otherwise exceed the transaction limitations established for the account. A single event authorization control (SEAC) process can be completed in response to determining that a financial services transaction undergoing a conventional authorization process qualifies for the SEAC process. To complete the process, a SEAC data record containing parameter values that most closely match the parameter values associated with the authorization request is selected and the applicable SEAC action contained in the data record, e.g., decline override, funds encumbrance, or budgetary exception, is performed. Then, a decision regarding authorization of the transaction is generated.

Abstract: A mouthguard has a flexible frame, and has bite tabs extending from the rear surface of the frame for engaging the wearer's teeth. The bite tabs extending from the rear surface of the frame for engaging the wearer's teeth. A narrow split may be provided between the anterior bite tabs that allows the bite tabs to maintain their flexibility. The flexible frame lays against the outer surface of the teeth and extends into the buccal folds superiorly and interiorly of the cheek where the muscles hold it in place. Grooves may be positioned lengthwise along the frame above and below the bite tabs for purposes of flexibility and to allow the muscles of the check to press the upper and lower extensions of the frame close to the bone for better retention and comfort. The teeth engage the bite tabs, thus preventing the teeth from clashing together and protecting the temporomanibular joint (TMJ). One or more air holes may be provided in the front portion of the mouthguard permitting easy breathing.

Abstract: A screen for separating solids and liquids is formed from parallel strips of wedge wire or similar material into a substantially cylindrical two-sided enclosure in a generally C-shaped profile. Unfiltered liquid containing solids contacts the screen surface on both the convex and concave sides of the C-shaped enclosure. The unit may be placed in a vessel adapted to accommodate two such C-shaped devices in concentric relationship. The vessel may function similar to a candle filter, or a more conventional flow may be used.
