  • Patent number: 7404397
Abstract: A fuel injector control modification module is configured to modify primary fuel injector control signals provided by an engine control unit of an internal combustion engine. The module is particularly adapted to modifying fuel injector control signals based upon detected variations in fuel provided to the engine. Information indicative of fuel type is obtained by the module from an onboard diagnostic port associated with the engine control unit. The information may comprise fuel trim information which is generated, at least in part, from exhaust gas oxygen content information provided to the engine control unit. The module may modify or completely replace the primary fuel injector control signals at one or more times with secondary signal, such as to accommodate changes in fuel type. The module is particularly suited to addition to an existing engine to adapt the engine to run upon alternative fuels not contemplated by the original engine manufacturer.

Abstract: A pathname-based index is constructed for use in searching for a file of interest that resides in a volume of files. Thus, information contained in the paths present in the volume of files (e.g., directories and subdirectories) is used for efficiently searching for a file of interest. According to certain embodiments, an indexing application searches a volume of files and retrieves information (e.g., metadata) about the files contained therein for storage to a database that can then be searched, rather than requiring the full volume itself to be searched. Further, the file information (e.g., metadata) is indexed in the database based on the files' respective pathname in the volume of files. Thus, information contained in the file's pathname can be utilized in searching the database for information about the file (e.g., for discovering the file as being of interest).

  • Publication number: 20080095644
Abstract: A mobile high horsepower rating natural gas compression package is presented. The apparatus includes a trailer having a flexible pre-cambered frame configure to absorb shock during transport and dissipate vibration during operation, and an inflexible sub-skid attached to the flexible frame. A high horsepower rating engine driven compressor is attached to the sub-skid while ancillary compression package components are attached to the flexible frame. An arrangement of break flanges is employed to permit relative motion between the compressor and the ancillary compression package components during transport and operation. The advantages are derived from a more reliable unitary mobile natural gas compression package attained through: lower transport costs and reduced transport delay, improved site access windows, lower site preparation, setup, teardown, and site reclamation costs, and reduced site preparation, setup, and teardown time delays.

  • Publication number: 20080064589
Abstract: Provided is a method for preparing a support for olefin polymerization catalysts used in polyolefin preparation processes. Particularly, provided is a novel method for preparing a support for olefin polymerization catalysts comprising the reaction of metal magnesium with an alcohol in the presence of an additive for initiating the reaction, characterized in that halogenated nitrogen compound is used as the additive for initiating the reaction, resulting in a spherical dialkoxy magnesium support. The spherical support for olefin polymerization catalysts obtained from the method of the present invention has a spherical particle shape with a smooth surface, uniform particle size distribution and 0.25 g/cc or more of bulk density, which makes it suitable for preparing a catalyst that is enough to meet the particle properties required by commercial olefin polymerization processes including, for example slurry polymerization, bulk polymerization, gas phase polymerization and the like.
