Abstract: A method for continuous ethylene polymerization under high pressure using a polymerization reaction zone comprises a primary reaction zone and a secondary reaction zone wherein the secondary reaction zone has a length of 1.5-6.5 times the length of the primary reaction zone and a cross-sectional area of 1.2-4 times the cross-sectional area of the primary reaction zone. Ethylene is fed continuously into the primary reaction zone at the starting point of the primary reaction zone. Low temperature initiator alone, or an initiator mixture containing mainly low temperature initiator is introduced into the primary reaction zone at the starting point of the primary reaction zone. Initiator alone or an initiator mixture is introduced into the secondary reaction zone at two or more different points of the secondary reaction zone. Ethylene polymer products of various physical properties are produced with high productivity, while the pressure drop is minimized.

Abstract: Lead-free aviation fuel composition with a MON greater than 100, made up of a major component of a fuel made from Avgas and a minor component of at least two compounds from the group of esters of at least one mono-or poly-carboxylic acid and at least one mono- or polyol, anhydrides of a least one mono- or poly-carboxylic acid, preferably aromatic ethers at a level of at least 5% w/w and ketones at a level of more than 10% w/w.
Abstract: A system for controlling vehicles (20) to provide transportation services without need for human intervention. A database (10) stores records each documenting needed transportation services. Processing circuitry (which may be one or several networked computers) performs a dispatching process (26) which reviews these records, locates records indicating a need for immediate transportation service, and instructs vehicles to provide the service. The processing circuitry also performs a monitoring process (28) which monitors vehicle activities by reviewing the records, and automatically obtained vehicle activity information, to identify transportation services which are not being adequately provided, and refer these to human dispatchers (16) for special attention. A variety of methods for obtaining and updating vehicle activity information are disclosed, as are various applications for the system.

Abstract: A mouthguard has a flexible frame, and has bite tabs extending from the rear surface of the frame for engaging the wearer's teeth. The bite tabs extending from the rear surface of the frame for engaging the wearer's teeth. A narrow split may be provided between the anterior bite tabs that allows the bite tabs to maintain their flexibility. The flexible frame lays against the outer surface of the teeth and extends into the buccal folds superiorly and interiorly of the cheek where the muscles hold it in place. Grooves may be positioned lengthwise along the frame above and below the bite tabs for purposes of flexibility and to allow the muscles of the cheek to press the upper and lower extensions of the frame close to the bone for better retention and comfort. The teeth engage the bite tabs, thus preventing the teeth from clashing together and protecting the temporomanibular joint (TMJ). One or more air holes may be provided in the front portion of the mouthguard permitting easy breathing.
