Abstract: A surface treated steel sheet for a battery case, which has a diffusion layer of a nickel-phosphorus alloy or a nickel-cobalt-phosphorus alloy formed on the outermost layer of the inside surface of a plated steel sheet for a battery case; a battery case which is produced through forming the surface-treated steel sheet having a diffusion layer of a nickel-phosphorus alloy or a nickel-cobalt-phosphorus alloy by the deep drawing method, the DI forming or the DTR forming: and a battery using the battery case. The battery case can be used for producing a battery excellent in battery characteristics.

Abstract: A method of drawn and ironed processing of a resin coated metal sheet, in which in the drawn and ironed processing of resin coated metal sheet, there can be obtained a can body of satisfactorily small wall thickness and at an opening edge part of the can body, the coating resin is free from any defect; and a resin coating drawn and ironed processed can produced thereby. There is provided a method of drawn and ironed processing of a resin coated metal sheet, comprising performing drawn and ironed processing of a resin coated metal sheet composed of a metal sheet having at least one major surface thereof coated with an organic resin with the use of a punch and a die into a can body, characterized in that ironing is conducted with the use of a punch having a small-diameter portion at its rear end so that the ratio of ironing at an opening edge part of the can body after shaping falls within the range of 0 to 15%.

The light reflecting plate includes a base, a light reflecting layer that is formed on the base and made of silver or silver alloy, or aluminum or aluminum alloy, in which arithmetic average roughness (Ra) is 0.10 to 0.30 ?m and arithmetic average waviness (Wa) is 0.30 to 2.50 ?m on a surface of the light reflecting layer.

Abstract: A surface-treated tin-plated steel sheet for welded cans forming a surface-treating layer comprising chiefly a silane coupling agent on the surface of a tin-plated layer formed on the surface of a steel sheet, wherein the amount of free tin (Sn) (X g/m2) in the tin-plated layer and the amount of silicon (Si) (Y mg/m2) in the surface-treating layer lie in ranges satisfying all of the following formulas, 0.2?X?13, Y?1.0, Y?1.58X+6.92 and Y??0.36X+10.70. Despite of a non-chromium surface treatment, the surface-treated tin-plated steel sheet features excellent weldability, particularly high-speed weldability, close adhesion during the working and excellent corrosion resistance.

Abstract: [Problem] A substrate for a compound semiconductor solar cell which maintains excellent elasticity even after a high temperature process at the time of forming a thin film is provided. [Means for Resolution] The substrate for a compound semiconductor solar cell is formed of a steel plate, and a Cr layer having a coating film quantity of 300 to 8000 mg/m2 is formed on a surface of the substrate on a side to which a solar cell layer is laminated. The Cr layer having a coating film quantity of 500 to 3000 mg/m2 may be formed on the surface of the substrate on a side to which the solar cell layer is laminated, and a film forming temperature of the solar cell layer is less than 550° C. The Cr layer having a coating film quantity of 2000 to 8000 mg/m2 may be formed on the surface of the substrate on a side to which the solar cell layer is laminated, and a film forming temperature of the solar cell layer is more than 800° C.
Abstract: A method and apparatus for manufacturing a resin coated metal sheet. The method includes extruding a molten organic resin by heating from a T-die onto a metal sheet; dropping molten resin onto pre-rolls arranged between the T-die and lamination rolls, and bringing the molten resin in contact with the pre-rolls; and pressing the molten resin and the metal sheet by the lamination rolls to manufacture the resin-coated metal sheet. Electrically conductive bodies are arranged parallel to the widthwise direction of the pre-rolls, and the molten resin is dropped onto the pre-rolls in a state that an electric current is supplied to the conductive bodies, bringing the molten resin into contact with the pre-rolls by electrostatic pinning whereby an oligomer adhered to the pre-rolls is transferred to the surface of the molten resin and removed.
Abstract: The present invention aims at the continuous and stable production of an organic-resin-coated metal sheet in producing the organic-resin-coated metal sheet by an extrusion method using a laminating roll which can prevent resin portions (ear portions) protruding from the metal sheet being wound around shaft portions of the laminating roll. Using a laminating roll in which a width (A) of a region thereof coated with a lining material satisfies a relationship of 0?A?B?20 mm with respect to a width (B) of the metal sheet, a thermally melted organic resin is extruded and is applied to the metal sheet such that end portions of the organic resin in the widthwise direction protrude from outer portions of the laminating roll applied with the lining material, and the resin portions in a semi-molten state which protrude from respective edges of the metal sheet are removed by press-cutting.

Abstract: A method of manufacturing a hydrogen separation membrane with a carrier is characterized by including a first step of providing, between the hydrogen separation membrane and the carrier that supports the hydrogen separation membrane, a low-hardness metal membrane having a hardness that is lower than the hardness of the hydrogen separation membrane, and a second step of joining the hydrogen separation membrane, the low-hardness metal membrane, and the carrier by a cold joining method. In this case, it is possible to suppress the deformation of the hydrogen separation membrane, the low-hardness metal membrane, and the carrier and, as a result, it is possible to prevent damaging of the hydrogen separation membrane. The adhesion of the contact between the hydrogen separation membrane and the carrier is also improved. The result is that it is not necessary to increase the severity of the cold joining conditions.

Abstract: Disclosed are a method and an apparatus for forming an oxide coating film with excellent corrosion resistance and adhesiveness on a cathode made of a metal plate by a simple process at low cost. A direct current voltage is applied between an anode (12) and a cathode (13) in an electrolyte solution which cathode (13) is made of a metal plate to be coated with oxide and arranged opposite to the anode (12), while supplying oxygen or a gas containing oxygen into the electrolyte solution, so that the metal plate cathode (13) is coated with oxide, thereby being formed into a oxide-coated metal plate.
Abstract: It is intended to provide a flocked metal plate, which has a hydrophilic nature and is excellent in water retention property and water absorbing property, and a method of producing the flocked metal plate. Abstract: To provide a printed wiring board and a method for manufacturing the printed wiring board in which circuit widths of a signal transmission circuit and a power supply circuit or the like, which conventionally require to have greatly different circuit widths, are close to each other as much as possible and substantial miniaturization can be achieved. Abstract: A method of drawing and ironing a resin film laminated metal sheet for forming a can body having a bottom portion, a can wall portion and a flange-forming portion by drawing the resin film laminated metal sheet obtained by laminating at least one surface of a metal sheet with an organic resin film, followed by ironing by using a punch and a plurality of dies neighboring each other. The can wall is effectively prevented from being broken by a decrease in the thickness of the can wall, and drawn and ironed cans are efficiently formed having a thickness which is decreased as designed.
