    Abstract: The present invention is a pressure coupling chamber (1) developed for comparison calibrations of acoustic pressure-sensitive hydrophone (2) in the frequency range from Hz to 1 kHz. A hydrophone (2), reference receiver unit (3) and acoustic source (6) under test are acoustically coupled in the chamber through the air-filled medium inside the pressure coupling chamber (1). Acoustic sources (6) that are going to create acoustic pressure in the pressure coupling chamber (1), placed on the side walls of the chamber (1) to surround the pressure-sensitive active surface of hydrophone (2), are driven to create a hydrostatic pressure effect in the related frequency range in the chamber. Calibration of tested hydrophone (2) with comparison method is carried out by measuring the output voltages of tested hydrophone (2) and the reference receiver unit (3).

    Abstract: The present invention relates to the process of purification of boric acid by ion exchange method. Boric acid is dissolved in hot demineralized water. The hot solution is pressure-filtered. The hot saturated solution, which is purified from water-insoluble, is passed through a column containing strong cation exchange resin, followed by a column containing weak anion exchange resin at the same temperature and cooled afterwards. The crystals settling by cooling are separated from the mother liquor, the amount of aqueous solution within them is reduced and then dried. The waste solution formed during crystallization and filtrate formed after separation of crystals from aqueous solution are mixed and used in boric acid dissolving process. The developed method enables the reduction of sodium, sulfate, chloride and iron impurities of technical grade boric acid to less than 1 ppm and is more economic and environmental friendly than current methods.

    Abstract: The invention relates to a method of separation by fractionalization of the antioxidant active ingredients of Rosemary plant, which are the diterpenes Carnosic acid and Camosol and the phenolic acid Rosmarinic Acid, through column chromatography method. The production process involves the passage of rosemary extract, which is obtained in/with a proper solvent, through a column packed with a suitable packing material, the separation of the part rich in carnosic acid and carnosol, and the obtainment of a deodorized product in powder form after drying. During the process, another extract containing rosmarinic acid with high antioxidant activity is also obtained. The invention thus allows the use of an extract rich in carnosic acid and carnosol and another extract containing rosmarinic acid—which are obtained at once with no need for additional processes like acidification, precipitation, membrane filtration or deodorization—in food, pharmaceutical and cosmetic sector applications.

    Abstract: The present invention provides a method of one step ion exchange for functionalization thin glasses by strengthening and controlling the optical properties. Owing to controllable optical transmittance and absorbance properties, these thin glasses can be utilized as solar control glasses. A paste containing potassium compound and silver compound was applied to the glass substrate containing an alkali metal component by screen printing, thereafter ion exchange heat treatment was performed below glass transition temperature. The method of the invention can produce a glass with surface compressive stress between 550 and 600 MPa, compressive stress layer in the range of 10-15 ?m. In the antimicrobial activity test, the amount of alive E. coli bacteria decreased ?99.9% after 24 hours of contact time.

    Abstract: Every year, approximately 94 million cases of Salmonella gastroenteritis, with 155000 deaths, are reported each year and 85% of them reported to be food-borne. Investigation of the foods whether they are clean for Salmonella and sensitivity, easy applicability, absence of false positivity and negativity and the speed are the features sought in the analysis method for this investigation. It is not desirable for analysis to detect the presence of dead bacteria in food. Although the final product does not contain microbiologically harmful live bacteria during the food process, the detection of dead bacteria transmitted before the process causes the food product to be unfairly diagnosed as harmful. To prevent this situation, the analysis kits depending on molecular methods, increase their microorganism detection levels up to to 104 while reducing their sensitivity.
