Abstract: The drift (°/h) for an interferometric fiber optic gyroscope (IFOG) means the variations on the voltage generated versus the zero angular (rotation) rate, whilst IFOG is not under influence of any angular rate effect. If the drift of an IFOG is predefined, the compensation of the drift can trivially be carried out by a subtraction process. However, with this invention, the necessity of the predefinition of the zero rotation rate voltage of the IFOG which belongs to the primary coil called “Gyro Coil” herein, is removed because the instantaneous variations on the zero rotation rate voltage of the IFOG can be monitored either periodically or whenever required with help of a secondary coil, called as “Monitor Coil”, which is able to be switched by a microcontroller controlled-MEMS fiber optic ON/OFF switches.

  • Publication number: 20150082947
Abstract: The present invention describes an effective grain refining practice for aluminium foundry alloys. The method described herein relies on the control of the Titanium level of the alloy to be grain refined and the addition of boron once it is melted. Boron addition can be made via Al—B master alloys as well as with boron compounds such as KBF4 salt. The boron added into the melt dissolves first and then forms the AlB2 particles that act as potent substrates for the nucleation of aluminium once solidification process starts. The Ti concentration of the alloy must be controlled below 100 ppm for this method to offer effective grain refinement. The boron becomes ineffective when the Ti concentration in the alloy is higher.

  • Patent number: 8901954
Abstract: Introduced is an active shield method providing security to a security critical integrated circuit against some physical attacks like probing, manipulation and modification, while providing the ability to detect any physical modification made on the active shield itself. Electrically controllable switching circuits are used to construct the upper layer conductive bit lines with electrically selectable different interconnection configurations. These bit lines arranged in a shielding pattern are used to carry a test data between a transmitter circuitry and a number of receiver circuitries which verify the integrity of the shielding lines to provide the security for the integrated circuit. By changing the selected interconnection configuration of the bit lines with a select signal produced by the transmitter, the self detection ability of the proposed active shield is provided as a countermeasure against the vulnerability to physical modification made on the active shield itself.

  • Publication number: 20140334968
Abstract: Thermal fatigue is the predominant mechanism that limits the service life of dies in semi-solid forming of steels since the feedstock to be shaped has a paste-like character. A novel alloy, more resistant to these conditions than any other alloy, has been developed. Eutectic carbides in Stellite alloys are replaced in this novel alloy with molybdenum-rich intermetallic compound particles between dendrites. This novel alloy offers at least 3 times longer service life with respect to Stellite 6 alloy that has been tested under conditions that mimic the steel semi-solid forming process and has been identified as the most suitable. The exceptional performance of the novel alloy is attributed to its outstanding resistance to oxidation and to softening at elevated temperatures and to its cobalt based matrix free from the hard and brittle carbides that have a negative impact on crack growth process.

  • Publication number: 20140178560
Abstract: The subject of this invention is the production process of whole olive powder with easily pourable properties and natural olive powder that is produced with this processes. Olive and olive oil are used by human beings with different receipts and forms of utilization for more than thousands years. But powdered form of olive production from whole olives was not encountered. When whole olives are ground to obtain a powder, the intracellular oil is released and turn ground olives into a paste. It is impossible to obtain a dry powdered olive product from whole and not deoiled olives that does not release oil during its shelf life, without aggregating and protecting its powdered form just by grinding. The powder obtained from whole olives is more rich from olive oil in vitamins, minerals, fiber, and phenolic substance and it is superior in olive oil than various powders obtained from olive oil wastes as it also contains purest olive oil that has not passed any extraction processes.

Abstract: The subject of this invention is the baby and infant food comprising whole olive fruit. Olive oil have an important role in Mediterranean diet. Olive oil helps to protect the cardiovascular system, to regulate immune system and to protect from cancer. Olive oil with all these properties is used in homemade and also industrially manufactured baby foods. However the only constituent that is useful for health is not the oil. Whole olives, other than oil is more rich in respect to vitamin, mineral, fiber and phenolic substances and contains pure oil not submitted to any extraction process. In spite of all these mentioned advantages of olives, olive oil traditionally is used in baby foods, but olives, mainly due to their bitterness. In the world requirements are increasing besides to their health effect, to less refined and minimally processed foods. For this purpose baby/infant foods having bitter/debittered olives are developed by solving the mentioned problem.

  • Patent number: 8641725
Abstract: Compressed air dissector is a surgical dissector which is used in tumor dissection and excision phases in surgical branches and especially in neurosurgery and microsurgery. The problem at this point is removal of the tumoral tissue without damaging the adjacent normal tissue and the blood vessels feeding the normal tissue. Moreover, serious difficulties may be encounter in the dissection phase of the arachnoid matter in brain surgery. The occurring adhesions can easily be opened with the aid of the air dissector. This provides great convenience in aneurism surgery. The operation principle of the compressed air dissector is direction of the controlled, sterile compressed air (gas) to the brain parenchyma and removal of the dissected particles from the location with an aspirator system. In said system, the particles in the air are cleaned with a filter system. When the compressed air is directed to the tumor tissue it easily dissects and removes the tumor.

Abstract: Novel random number generation methods and novel random number generators based on continuous-time chaotic oscillators with dual oscillator architecture are presented. Numerical and experimental results not only verify the feasibility of the proposed circuits, but also encourage their use as a high-performance IC TRNG. In comparison with RNG's based on discrete-time chaotic maps, amplification of a noise source and jittered oscillator sampling, which are advantageous in the sense that true random behavior can be mathematically proven thanks to an analytical model that has been developed, it is seen that RNG's based on continuous-time' chaotic oscillators can offer much higher and constant data rated without post-processing. The proposed innovation increases the throughput, maximizes the statistical quality of the output sequence and is robust against external interference, parameter variations and attacks aimed to force throughout. The proposed circuits can be integrated on today process at GHz range.
