    Abstract: An aluminum heat exchanger is made by disposing an inner fin in a closed space formed by overlapping edge portions of a formed single tube plate or a plurality of formed tube plates, and brazing a first joint obtained by overlapping the edge portions of the tube plate and a second joint obtained by causing the inner fin to abut against the tube plate, wherein an Al—Si-based brazing filler material is interposed at the first and second joints, and brazing is carried out in an inert gas atmosphere without using flux, wherein the inner fin is constituted of a brazing sheet obtained by cladding a core material of an aluminum alloy, on both surfaces thereof, with the Al—Si-based brazing filler material having a solidus temperature of 570° C. or lower, the solidus temperature being lower than a solidus temperature of the Al—Si-based brazing filler material interposed at the first joint.

A termination tab member formed of a 1000 series, 3000 series, 6000 series or 8000 series aluminum alloy is disposed in abutting contact with end faces of joining portions of first and second members (in an abutting part), on the side of termination of the welding operation, and the friction stir welding operation is terminated after a probe of a rotary tool is moved from the joining portions of the two members into the termination tab member.

    Abstract: The aluminium-alloy brazing sheet fin material having a core material and a brazing material. Before heating for brazing, the fin material has an average degree of cladding of 6 to 16% for each surface, a thickness of 40 to 120 ?m and an electrical conductivity of 48 to 54% IACS and the core material has a metallographic structure having a distribution in which a Mn-based compound having an equivalent circular diameter of 0.05 to 0.50 ?m is present at an average distance between particles of 0.05 to 0.35 ?m. After heating for brazing, the fin material has an electrical conductivity of 40 to 44% IACS and the core material has a metallographic structure having a distribution in which a Mn-based compound having an equivalent circular diameter of 0.50 ?m or less is present at an average distance between particles of 0.45 ?m or less.

    Abstract: An aluminum alloy pipe produced by porthole extrusion includes: Mg at a concentration equal to or higher than 0.7% (mass %, the same applies hereinafter) and lower than 1.5%; Ti at a concentration higher than 0% and equal to or lower than 0.15%; with the balance being Al and unavoidable impurities. As the unavoidable impurities, Si has a limited concentration of 0.20% or lower, Fe 0.20% or lower, Cu 0.05% or lower, Mn 0.10% or lower, Cr 0.10% or lower, and Zn 0.10% or lower. Difference between the maximum value and the minimum value of the Mg concentration in a lengthwise direction of the pipe is 0.2% or lower, and the average crystal grain size in a cross-section perpendicular to the lengthwise direction is 300 ?m or smaller. An aluminum alloy pipe used for piping or hose joints and having excellent strength, corrosion resistance, and processability can be provided.
