The skin-contactable sheet piece is formed with openings extending in a back-and-forth direction through which body waste is guided toward the topsheet and both lateral zones of the sheet piece on both sides of these openings as viewed in a transverse direction B are provided with elastic members attached under tension. Outside the skin-contactable sheet piece as viewed in the transverse direction B, leak-barriers are provided and the lateral zones of the skin-contactable sheet piece are bonded to the leak-barriers along regions defined between proximal edges and free edges of the respective leak-barriers.

Abstract: A pull-on article comprises a chassis including a first waist region, a second waist region and a crotch region between the first and second waist regions. The article is shaped into a pull-on having a waist and a pair of leg openings by weld-bonding side edges of the first and second waist regions. The waist and leg openings are respectively provided along respective edged defining the waist and leg openings with waist and leg elastic members which are respectively formed into a tape shape having a relatively width dimension. The first and second waist regions, and the leg and waist elastic members are respectively formed of a fibrous non-woven fabric including at least thermoplastic fibers wherein the leg and waist elastic members include at least elastically extendible fibers as the thermoplastic fibers.

There is disclosed a vertically long absorbent article comprising a surface layer with surface sheet (2), a backside layer with backside sheet (3), an absorbent layer with absorbent body (4) interposed therebetween and a pair of gathers (5,5) formed of a sheetlike member (9) so as to have a hollow on both the side areas of the surface layer in the longitudinal direction thereof. The pair of gathers (5,5) in the state of having a three-dimensional configuration part (10) wherein the sheetlike member (9) makes a convex on the external surface side of the absorbent article in the thickness direction thereof are joined to the surface layer and/or backside layer by a junction portion (11) provided so as to extend in the longitudinal direction of the absorbent article. The three-dimensional configuration part (10) is provided so as to construct a hollow.

An absorbent panel is disposed on the inner surface of the chassis, the barrier sheet is disposed above the absorbent panel and the leak-barrier cuffs are disposed along a lateral side of the barrier sheet. Abstract: The present invention utilizes jet streams of hot gas at a high efficiency and thereby to increase a bulk of non-woven fabric. Non-woven fabric containing thermoplastic synthetic fibers is subjected to jet streams of hot gas in a thickness direction of the non-woven fabric. A temperature of the jet streams of hot gas used for this process is set to a level lower than the temperature at which a resinous ingredient forming the surface of the thermoplastic begins to be melted. The jet streams of hot gas are directed to penetrate fiber interstices in the non-woven fabric and then to strike on a means serving to divert the jet streams of hot gas.
