    Abstract: A mechanical resonator-based cascadable logic device includes which includes a resonator having a beam with a first fixed end, a second fixed end, and a length between the first and second fixed ends. A first electrode and a second electrode are aligned along a first side of the beam. A third electrode and a fourth electrode are aligned along a second side of the beam and opposite the first and second electrodes. A DC voltage source is coupled to one of the first and second fixed ends of the beam. At least one of the first, second, third, and fourth electrodes is coupled to a first AC voltage source so that a logic operation is performed by activating a second resonant mode of the resonator.

    Abstract: The invention discloses a method for receiving TD-AltBOC signal, which belongs to the field of global satellite navigation. The method of the invention includes steps of: converting a TD-AltBOC radio-frequency signal into an medium frequency, performing a band-pass filtering and sampling on the signal, and peeling off a sampled signal carrier by using a local carrier to obtain a sampled baseband signal; correlating on a local waveform with the sampled baseband signal chip-by-chip in a time division manner; performing a data demodulation according to correlated output signals, and obtaining a carrier phase deviation estimated value and a code phase deviation estimated value according to the correlated output signals; generating the local waveform according to the code phase deviation estimated value; generating the local carrier according to the carrier phase deviation estimated value. The invention also provides an apparatus for receiving TD-AltBOC signal.

A smallest heterogeneous robot system is formed by a ground mobile robot and an air flying robot. The steps of the method include the ground mobile robot and the air flying robot start from a start point at the same time, successively access N sub-task points for executing sub-tasks and finally reach a destination together. In the present invention, it is considered that the position of each sub-task point is allowed to be effective in a certain neighborhood, and a neighborhood constraint is introduced. In addition, the maximum speed constraints are considered respectively for the air flying robot and the ground mobile robot.

    Abstract: The fabrication of asymmetric monometallic nanocrystals with novel properties for plasmonics, nanophotonics and nanoelectronics. Asymmetric monometallic plasmonic nanocrystals are of both fundamental synthetic challenge and practical significance. In an example, a thiol-ligand mediated growth strategy that enables the synthesis of unprecedented Au Nanorod-Au Nanoparticle (AuNR-AuNP) dimers from pre-synthesized AuNR seeds. Using high-resolution electron microscopy and tomography, crystal structure and three-dimensional morphology of the dimer, as well as the growth pathway of the AuNP on the AuNR seed, was investigated for this example. The dimer exhibits an extraordinary broadband optical extinction spectrum spanning the UV, visible, and near infrared regions (300-1300 nm). This unexpected property makes the AuNR-AuNP dimer example useful for many nanophotonic applications.

    Abstract: There is provided an ultra-light decoder for high speed digital communications based on block codes such as turbo product codes (TPCs). The new decoder can perform soft decision decoding without an algebraic hard decision decoder, which is the core of conventional soft decision decoders. The elimination of algebraic decoder significantly reduces the number of computations required per codeword, consequently, it reduces the decoding delay and processing power. However, reducing the decoding delay would immediately enable increasing the transmission speed, and minimize the need for large buffers at the receiver. Moreover, reducing the complexity and delay would enable using codes with high code rates to increase the system capacity, or use powerful codes with low code rates to reduce the transmission power. Such benefits can be achieved for about 1 dB loss in coding gain. There is also provided a receiver comprising the ultra-light decoder, as well as a decoding process.
