In an embodiment, a wirelessly powered stimulator, includes an implantable pulse generator (IPG), including: an Rx antenna that receives a radio frequency (RF) signal from an external Tx antenna; a rectifier; an energy storage capacitor CSTOR, where the RF signal coupled to the Rx antenna is rectified by the rectifier to generate VDD and charges the CSTOR; a demodulator; an output voltage regulator that generates a stable voltage to activate the demodulator; and where the demodulator outputs a stimulation that releases the energy stored in the CSTOR on an electrode based on detecting amplitude modulation in the received RF signal; and a Tx antenna that generates the RF signal that wirelessly powers the IPG and that controls timing of output stimulations of the IPG, where amplitude modulation is applied to the RF signal to control the timing of the output stimulations.

Abstract: The present invention belongs to the field of microbiology, and particularly relates to membrane vesicles (MVs) isolated from bacteria, and an isolation and preparation system and method for the membrane vesicles, and applications of the membrane vesicles. The bacteria of the present invention comprise Gram-positive bacteria and Gram-negative bacteria. The invention uses ionizing irradiation to irradiate bacteria, and isolates and purifies the produced membrane vesicles. The membrane vesicles prepared can be used as a vaccine, a vaccine adjuvant and/or a pharmaceutical carrier. In addition, the present invention provides a biological composition comprising the membrane vesicles and inactivated bacteria. In addition, the present invention also provides a preparation system, and isolation and purification system for bacterial membrane vesicles and the corresponding method. The membrane vesicles obtained by using the system and method have high yield, high purity and easy to be industrialized.
Abstract: Disclosed in the present invention are a low energy consumption anhydrous CO2 phase change absorption agent, and a regeneration method and an application thereof, the absorption agent using a unitary diamine with a primary amine (NH2ā) and a tertiary amine (āNā), and not containing any other organic solvent, water, and ionic liquid; two alkyl branches are linked to a nitrogen atom of the tertiary amine, forming a certain hydrophobicity; after absorbing the CO2, the diamine changes from a liquid phase to a solid phase, undergoing liquid-solid phase change to form white amino formate crystals.

Abstract: The invention relates to a Novosphingobium sp. SJB007 and an application thereof in removal of phosphorus from wastewater, belonging to the technical field of environmental microorganisms. One aspect of the invention provides a Novosphingobium sp. SJB007 with an access number of CGMCC (China General Microbiological Culture Collection Center) No. 21177. Another aspect of the invention provides an application of the Novosphingobium sp. SJB007 in removal of phosphorus from wastewater. The efficient phosphorus-accumulating strain Novosphingobium sp. SJB007 provided by the invention has a high removal rate of more than 97% when the concentration of phosphorus in the wastewater is 10-30 mg/L under an appropriate condition.
Abstract: This disclosure provides a fetal-blood-oxygen-saturation estimation technique using a deep neural network without performing explicit fetal signal extraction from mixed maternal-fetal photoplethysmogram (PPG) signals. In one aspect, the disclosed fetal-blood-oxygen-saturation estimation technique receives multiple channels of PPG signals from two or more photodetectors detecting transabdominal diffused light from two or more light sources emitting two or more distinct wavelengths, wherein the photodetectors and light sources are positioned on a maternal abdomen. Note that each channel of the multiple channels of PPG signals includes mixed maternal-fetal PPG signals.

Abstract: A system and a method for Alzheimer's disease prediction using a neural network, a computer-readable recording medium with a stored program, and a computer program product are provided. The processor obtains a first brain MRI data, a second brain MRI data, a first neuropsychological assessment score, and a second neuropsychological assessment score. The processor obtains a plurality of image feature data according to the first brain MRI data and the second brain MRI data. Each image feature data is selected from a group consisting of a plurality of hippocampal subfield geometric change data. The processor obtains a neuropsychological change data according to the first neuropsychological assessment score and the second neuropsychological assessment score. The processor obtains an Alzheimer's disease prediction result according to the neural network module, the image feature data, and the neuropsychological change data.
Abstract: Provided are peptides that based on the amino acid sequences LDPAKDCGDQKYAY (SEQ ID NO: 1) and LDPSKDCGDPKYAY (SEQ ID NO: 2), optionally wherein the peptide includes an N-terminal stearate modification. Also provided are method for using the disclosed peptides for inhibiting neointima formation in mammals, methods for inhibiting division and/or proliferation of vascular smooth muscle cells, and uses of the disclosed peptides for treating cardiovascular diseases and/or disorder associated with undesirable vascular SMC proliferation, which in some embodiments can re-late to inhibiting neointima formation in a mammal.

Abstract: A method for super-resolution photoacoustic microscopy of an object. The method includes optically exciting the object according to a plurality of excitation patterns utilizing a digital micromirror device (DMD), receiving a plurality of acoustic waves propagated from the object due to optically exciting the object, reconstructing each of a plurality of photoacoustic (PA) images from a respective acoustic wave of the plurality of acoustic waves, and obtaining a super-resolution PA image of the object from the plurality of PA images by applying a frequency domain reconstruction method to the plurality of PA images. Each of the plurality of acoustic waves are associated with a respective excitation pattern of the plurality of excitation patterns.
Abstract: Systems and methods to selectively protect therapeutic cells by reducing CD33 expression in the therapeutic cells using base editors and targeting non-therapeutic cells with an anti-CD33 therapy are described. The selective protection results in the enrichment of the therapeutic cells while simultaneously targeting any diseased, malignant and/or non-therapeutic CD33 expressing cells within a subject.
