Abstract: A method and associated access point for processing data for transmission to communication devices, the method comprising determining or receiving channel state information, CSI, relating to a plurality of the communication devices; for each of one or more sub-carriers, determining which communication devices can communicate using the respective subcarrier according to, or based on, the channel state information or data derived therefrom; allocating communication devices to sub-carriers upon which each communication device can communicate; and providing data for at least one or more or each communication device on the sub-carriers to which the respective communication device has been allocated. Preferably, the method uses an adaptive bit loading algorithm to allocate communication devices to sub-carriers.

Abstract: A physiological information detection system may include an add-on device in electronic communication with a computing device. The add-on device includes a body and a first light filter retained in the body. The first light filter filters light emitted by the light source of the computing device. A lens is also retained in the body proximate the first light filter. The lens directs light exiting the first light filter out a surface of the first lens. The body retains a second lens that receives into a surface of the second lens light exiting the first lens. The surface of the first lens and the surface of the second lens are substantially coplanar. A second light filter is also retained in the body proximate the second lens. The sensor detects the light exiting the second light filter.

Abstract: A CDMR memory cell, includes a first bitcell which is used to store a current data level and a second bitcell which is used to store the complementary data level. When a read operation is performed, a comparator compares the data levels read from the two bitcells. If these two levels are not complementary, the comparator outputs an indicator. This indicator serves as an alert that a storage error has, or may have, occurred.

Abstract: Various embodiments are directed to a high temperature superconducting (HTS) synchronous machine having a rotating armature and methods for fabricating the same. The HTS synchronous machines described herein solve the rotating seal system complications which plague conventional HTS synchronous machines by eliminating entirely the need for any such system. Instead, it is proposed here to rotate the AC armature windings, which are stationary (i.e., normally the “stator”) in conventional HTS synchronous machines, while allowing the superconducting field windings to remain stationary.

Abstract: Systems and methods for computational analysis of chemical data to predict binding targets of a chemical are provided. A plurality of chemical pairs is established, each including a first chemical for which binding targets are to be predicted and a respective one of the second chemicals. For each chemical pair, values of at least two datatypes of the first chemical can be compared to values of the at least two datatypes of the respective one of the plurality of second chemicals in the chemical pair to generate a similarity score. The similarity scores can be converted to a likelihood value. For each chemical pair, a total likelihood value can be determined based on respective likelihood values for each of the at least two datatypes of the chemical pair. A candidate binding target is predicted to bind to the first chemical, based on the total likelihood value of each chemical pair.
