Abstract: The present disclosure relates to the structure of a micro light-emitting device and an alignment substrate. The light-emitting device according to one embodiment includes an inclined side surface having a three-dimensional shape. The inclined side surface is formed to protrude from one surface of the micro light-emitting device, has magnetism, and includes two different electrodes formed in one direction. In this case, among the two electrodes, one electrode may be formed on a mesa portion, and the other electrode may be formed on the inclined side surface.

Abstract: A laser processing device according an embodiment is a laser processing device that irradiates a processing region of a workpiece with pulsed laser light through a liquid to subject the processing region to a laser peening process or a laser forming process. The laser processing device includes: a laser irradiation unit including a laser oscillator that outputs the pulsed laser light; and an accommodation unit that includes an injection port through which the liquid is injected to the processing region, and accommodates the laser irradiation unit. A pulse width of the pulsed laser light is 200 ps to 2 ns, and the pulsed laser light output from the laser oscillator is emitted to the processing region through a liquid that is injected from the injection port.

Abstract: A power-split hydro-mechanical hybrid transmission system with an automatic adjustment function includes an input member, a hydraulic transmission mechanism, a split mechanism, a convergence mechanism, an output member, a clutch assembly, and a brake assembly. The clutch assembly connects the input member to an input end of the split mechanism, connects an output end of the split mechanism to an input end of the hydraulic transmission mechanism and an input end of the convergence mechanism, and connects an output end of the hydraulic transmission mechanism to the output member. An output end of the convergence mechanism is connected to the output member. The clutch assembly and the brake assembly provide a continuous transmission ratio between the input member and the output member. The power-split hydro-mechanical hybrid transmission system enables multi-mode continuously variable transmission and has energy reuse and emergency support functions.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a brain-computer interface system and a method for recognizing a conversation intention of a user using the same in addition to inferring the waveform of word sound intended by a user from an imagined speech brainwave associated with a word intended by a user, since the user can intuitively recognize the sentence he/she wants to speak through the imagined speech by classifying words that are most relevant to the imagined speech brainwave of the user in a database in which a word often used by the user or frequently used in a specific situation is stored and by generating a sentence intended by the user by recognizing the words classified in this way, it is possible to perform communication by only thoughts of the user.

Abstract: A reducing agent monomer for preparing a styrene-acrylic emulsion by an oxidation-reduction reaction at room temperature and a synthesis method thereof are disclosed. Maleic anhydride (MAH) and dimethylethanolamine (DMEA) are used as raw materials to synthesize the reducing agent monomer: 4-(2-(dimethylamino)ethoxy)-4-oxobut-2-enoic acid, and the synthesis method involves inexpensive easily-available raw materials, simple synthesis conditions, and easy purification. With the synthesized reducing agent monomer as a reducing agent, potassium persulfate (KPS) as an oxidizing agent, water as a dispersion medium, sodium dodecyl sulfate (SDS) as an emulsifier, and styrene, butyl acrylate (BA), and methylmethacrylate (MMA) as comonomers, free-radical microemulsion polymerization is conducted at room temperature to obtain a styrene-acrylic emulsion.
Abstract: The present disclosure relates generally to modified bacteria, such as E. coli, with modification in the expression of at least one gene encoding a type I and/or type II toxin-antitoxin (TA) system protein and/or at least one gene encoding a structural protein that modulates ribosomes and methods of using the disclosed bacteria for producing a biological compound of interest. The modifications of the bacteria result in enhanced bioproduction.
Abstract: A method and system for predicting an addition amount of slagging lime during ladle furnace (LF) refining, and an LF refining method are provided. The method includes: S1: calculating an actual sulfur distribution ratio in combination with a Kungliga Tekniska Högskolan (KTH) model and a least square method by using LF refining parameters; S2: calculating, according to a principle of sulfur mass conservation, a mass of final slag by using the LF refining parameters and the actual sulfur distribution ratio obtained in S1; and S3: calculating, according to a principle of material conservation during LF refining, an addition amount of slagging lime during the LF refining by using the LF refining parameters and the mass of the final slag obtained in S2, thereby predicting the addition amount of the required slagging lime.

Abstract: Described herein is a method to create dendritic biocompatible polymers from pairs of complementary dendritic nucleic acid monomers in a controlled manner, using polymerization triggers. The dendritic monomers are constituted of nucleic acids and an organic polymer capable of self-assembly. A variety of additional improvements are described herein, including processes not requiring snap cooling, “wobble clamp” designs to confer a transitory measure of hairpin stability prior to branch migration, and multiple assemblies of amplifying systems. Depending on the context this technology could be used to reveal the presence of a large variety of analytes such as specific nucleic acid molecules, small molecules, proteins, and peptides.
