  • Patent number: 10454366
Abstract: A current sensorless control system and a control method thereof for single stage isolated PFC converters based on DAB. By coordinating three control variables of the DAB converter, that is, the inside phase-shifting ratio of the primary side full-bridge, the inside phase-shifting ratio of the secondary side full-bridge, and the phase-shifting ratio between the primary and the secondary sides, the present invention does not need to design additional current controller for the control of the input current, and may make the input current sinusoidal by directly coordinating the output voltage controller, the input voltage and the current modulation step, thereby reducing system cost and the difficulty of controller design, enhancing the stability of the control system, and improving the dynamic performance.

  • Patent number: 10449502
Abstract: The present invention is generally related to the analysis of chemical compositions of hydrocarbons and hydrocarbon blends. This method, in particular embodiments, may apply specifically to the problem of analyzing extremely complex hydrocarbon-containing mixtures when the number and diversity of molecules makes it extremely difficult or impossible to realistically identify and quantify them individually in a reasonable timeframe. Particular SEC (size exclusion chromatography)-based methods and apparatus disclosed herein may be used to measure, e.g., the molecular size, weight, and/or volume, whether in absolute or relative manner, of the various components of eluate from the SEC stationary phase (e.g., a permeable gel). This analytical method is applicable on a wide variety of hydrocarbonaceous materials, and especially useful for, but not limited to oil, maltenes of oil, asphalt binders and asphalt binder blends, which may contain wide varieties of different types of additives, modifiers, and chemistries.

  • Patent number: 10454592
Abstract: Techniques are described for data transfer in spin-based systems where digital bit values are represented by magnetization states of magnetoresistive devices rather than voltages or currents. For data transmission, a spin-based signal is converted to an optical signal and transmitted via an optical transport. For data reception, the optical signal is received via the optical transport and converted back to a spin-based signal. Such data transfer may not require an intervening conversion of the spin-based signal to charge-based signal that relies on voltages or currents to represent digital bit values. In addition, techniques are described to use magnetoresistive devices to control the amount of current or voltage that is delivered, where the magnetization state of the magnetoresistive device is set by an optical signal.
