Abstract: Isolated protein complexes are provided comprising keratinocyte growth factor and vitronectin, or at least domains thereof that enable binding to and activation of both a keratinocyte growth factor receptor and an integrin receptor for vitronectin. These protein complexes include synthetic proteins where the keratinocyte growth factor and vitronectin sequences are joined by a linker sequence. In particular forms, vitronectin sequences do not include a C-terminal heparin binding domain. Also provided are uses of these protein complexes for stimulating or inducing cell migration and/or proliferation in wound healing, tissue engineering, cosmetic and therapeutic treatments such as skin replacement, skin replenishment and treatment of burns where epithelial cell migration is required. In other embodiments, the invention provides inhibition of cancer cell metastasis, particularly in relation to breast cancer.

Pharmaceutical and immunogenic compositions comprising agents or compounds that modulate pcdh18 mediated inhibition of T cell effector function are also encompassed. Methods for modulating pcdh18 mediated inhibition of T cell effector function using agents identified using assays described herein in pharmaceutical and immunogenic compositions are also envisioned. Adenocarcinoma is an exemplary tumor type that expresses pcdh18 and for which such pharmaceutical and immunogenic compositions would confer benefit to patients. Also encompassed are methods for reducing pcdh18 mediated inhibition of T cell effector function so as to achieve more effective T cell responses to pcdh18 expressing tumors.

Abstract: A non-volatile SRAM cell comprises a first inverter, a second inverter, a first access transistor, a second access transistor, and a variable resistive element. The first inverter voltage is supplied by a first differential supply. The second inverter voltage is supplied by a second differential supply. The variable resistive element coupling with a third access transistor in series is coupled to the first output node. The non-volatile SRAM cell operates in a restore operation comprising a dual supply initialization phase and a pulse-overwrite phase. During the dual supply initialization phase, the first differential supply increases before the second differential supply so as to initialize the first output node to a logic state. During the pulse-overwrite phase, the third access transistor is turned on for a switch period in order to discharge/charge the first output node.

Abstract: A method for making a lithium battery cathode composite is provided. A mixed solution including a solvent, an iron salt, and a phosphate is provided. An alkaline solution is added in the mixed solution until the mixed solution has a pH value in a range from about 1.5 to about 5. The mixed solution is stirred to react the iron salt with the phosphate to form a number of iron phosphate precursor particles. The iron phosphate precursor particles are heated. A lithium source solution, a reducing agent, and the iron phosphate precursor particles are mixed to form a lithium iron phosphate precursor slurry. Outer surfaces of the lithium vanadium phosphate particles are coated with the lithium iron phosphate precursor.
