Abstract: A light assembly for use on a vehicle comprising a support mounted on the vehicle, at least one light source and a lens body having a first area for reflecting light and a second area for distributing light from the at least one light source. The lens body further comprises a top wall, a generally opposing bottom wall, a first side wall and a second side wall that generally opposes the first side wall, the lens body also has at least one detent or lock associated with the second area. The at least one detent or lock engages a surface on a support to which the lens body is mounted in order to lock or secure the lens body onto the support. The at least one detent or lock is not visible when viewing an exit surface of the lens after it is mounted on the vehicle.

Abstract: A fiber optic light panel assembly including an optical fiber layer including a plurality of optical fibers arranged in a predetermined form such that the optical fiber layer has a light emitting side configured to emit light, and a mounting side opposing the light emitting side. An adhesive layer is provided having a first side in direct contact with the mounting side of the optical fiber layer, and a second side opposing the first side and configured to directly contact a surface of a supporting structure such that the adhesive later mechanically connects the optical fiber layer to the support structure. Also included is a fiber bundle including portions of the plurality of optical fibers that are not in direct contact with the adhesive layer, and abrasions provided along a length of each of the plurality of optical fibers such that light can be emitted from the respective fiber, the abrasion being provided in the optical fiber layer and in at least part of the fiber bundle.

Abstract: Bezel apparatus for use with vehicle lamps are disclosed. A disclosed bezel for a vehicle lamp includes a skeleton defining a portion of the bezel. The skeleton is configured to provide structural integrity to the bezel. The bezel also includes a film configured to cover the skeleton. The film comprises a first side configured to contact the skeleton and a second side opposite to the first side and including a visual design. The bezel also includes a coupling mechanism configured to couple the film to the skeleton to provide a completed bezel.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to exterior lighting of an automotive vehicle. Specifically, the present disclosure describes a multi-function lighting assembly wherein a plurality of lighting functions can be provided from a single output surface. The multi-function lighting assembly can comprise an optical material having a first surface and a second surface wherein the second surface is a partially reflecting surface. According to an embodiment, a plurality of light rays from a first light source can be refracted through the partially reflecting surface and a plurality of light rays from a second light source can be reflected by the partially reflecting surface. In each case, the resulting reflected light ray or refracted light ray is directed along a visual axis of an observer, thereby providing more than one light function from a single output surface.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a vehicle indicator lighting assembly or other lighting device for providing dual-color outputs in a lit state and an unlit state, respectively. Specifically, a color of a lighting device may be controlled such that an unlit state may communicate a desired color corresponding to a surface of a component of the lighting device. For instance, the lighting device can include a light guide having one or more decoupling regions and a bezel having one or more effecting facets arranged relative to the light guide. The light guide may be optically-coupled to a light source. The one or more effecting facets may be designed such that, when the lighting device is not illuminated by the light source, a color of a surface of the one or more effecting facets is displayed to an observer in a trailing vehicle by reflection of ambient light from an environment external to the vehicle.

Abstract: A packaging device for a windscreen wiper blade has a housing configured to receive the blade, having a first support surface configured to contact a portion of an upper part of the blade, a second support surface configured to contact a first portion of a lower part of the blade, a third support surface configured to contact a second portion of the lower part of the blade, a centering means, and a hooking means for hanging the packaging device vertically.
