Abstract: The present teaching, which includes methods, systems and computer-readable media, relates to providing query suggestions based on multiple data sources including at least person's personal data. The disclosed techniques may include receiving an input from a person, obtaining one or more suggestions based on a person corpus derived from at least one data source private to the person, and presenting at least the one or more suggestions.

Abstract: Disclosed are systems and methods for improving interactions with and between computers in content searching, hosting and/or providing systems supported by or configured with devices, servers and/or platforms. The disclosed systems and methods provide a novel framework for providing users with electronic retrieval capabilities that are activated upon the users' determined locations respective to real-world locations associated with a message providing entity. The disclosed technology combines the previously separate systems of mail extraction, geo-fencing and content delivery (e.g., notification) into a single system that efficiently manages a user's inbox in order to provide the user with content the user has expressly indicated is of interest to that user.

Abstract: News search and browse experience is personalized based on user preferences. User attributes like a geographic location are obtained and news sources preferred by other users with attributes similar to those of a requesting user are identified. News sources that are popular across different user groups are eliminated and relevant news items from the remaining news sources are retrieved and presented to the requesting user.

Abstract: Methods and systems for posting video content on a website are disclosed herein. An input indicative of a selection of video content is received from a user. A placeholder image is inserted in an input field to act as a placeholder for the video content being selected. Image manipulation commands are received from the user. The image manipulation commands are applied to the image placeholder in order to display the image placeholder in a user desired configuration. The placeholder image can be replaced with the video content. Displaying the video content in the user desired configuration.

Abstract: Systems and methods to provide server side profile information. An LDAP server is provisioned for each user of a plurality of users. Profile information is received. The profile information is stored in a database associated with the LDAP server. Via the LDAP server, a suggestion from the profile information is provided in response to a partial entry provided by the user to a first client associated with the user.

Abstract: In one embodiment, a search engine may generate and store a plurality of search index segments such that each of the search index segments is stored in a corresponding one of a plurality of heaps of memory. The plurality of search index segments may include inverted index segments mapping content to documents containing the content. A garbage collection module may release one or more heaps of the memory.

Abstract: Methods, programming, and system for identifying one or more variable slots within an utterance are described herein. In a non-limiting embodiment, a first slot-value pair for an utterance may be obtained. The first slot-value pair may include a first slot and a first value associated with the slot. The first slot may be of a first entity type, where an intent and a data object are estimated based on the first utterance. A data structure representing the data object may be identified. Based on the intent, a first variable slot in the data structure associated with the first entity type may be determined, where the first variable slot may be associated with at least one of: multiple values and an adjustable value. Based on the intent, the first value may be assigned to the first variable slot in the data structure.

Abstract: Systems and methods for blockchain ledger growth management using separation of a blockchain ledger into multiple blockchain ledgers (each ledger having a state that can be tracked and used). The systems and methods also include linking the separated ledgers by utilizing a linking application and smart contracts added to the separated ledgers.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and programming for updating a search index are described herein. In a non-limiting embodiment, event data representing actions performed on a plurality of content items managed via the search index may be obtained. The event data may be filtered based on pre-determined criteria to generate updated event data, where the updated event data represents relevant actions performed on at least one of the plurality of content items and are associated with the search index. An updated search index based on the updated event data may then be generated.

Abstract: The present teaching relates to providing a query suggestion. In one example, a request is received for query suggestions with respect to a query prefix input by a user. Personal data of the user are obtained. One or more spelling correction candidates are generated based on the personal data and the query prefix. Each of the one or more spelling correction candidates represents a possible spelling correction of the query prefix that was likely input incorrectly in view of the personal data. One or more query suggestions are determined based on the one or more spelling correction candidates. The one or more query suggestions are provided as a response to the request.

Abstract: Whether video advertisements are being delivered to a human user or a machine is determined passively, i.e., without having the user to perform any explicit actions. Based on the time and frequency of ad requests generated from a user device, a daily schedule is estimated for the user. The estimated daily schedule is compared with a daily schedule pattern to determine whether the user is a human user or not.

Abstract: At times, it may be desirable to determine that a client system is, or to determine the number of client systems that are, presenting particular dynamic content when an auditable event occurs in the dynamic content. One manner of making the determination may include accessing presentation time information that indicates the time(s) at which one or more client systems present particular dynamic content and accessing event time information indicating the time(s) at which one or more auditable events occur in the dynamic particular content. Based on the presentation time information and the event time information, it may be possible to determine that a client system is, or to determine the number of client systems that are, presenting particular dynamic content when an auditable event occurs in the dynamic content.

Abstract: One or more computing devices, systems, and/or methods for transforming operation of an application based upon real-time user activity analysis are provided. For example, user interaction with an application is monitored to determine that a user action was performed at a threshold frequency. The user action is evaluated to identify a context of the application when the user action was performed. The user action is evaluated to identify data upon which the user action was performed. In response to determining that a current context of the application matches the context, operation of the application is transformed to include a data item corresponding to the data.

Abstract: Methods and apparatus for monitoring network links are disclosed. In one implementation, a client device composes a plurality of data packets and transmits the data packets via a network to a server via two or more ports of the client device. The data packets are transmitted via multiple paths across the network. After transmitting the data packets to the server, the client device composes and transmits a control packet to the server, where the control packet indicates a total number of the data packets that have been transmitted by the client device to the server.

Abstract: One or more computing devices, systems, and/or methods for selecting content for transmission to devices are provided. First activity performed using a content interface on a device may be detected. First activity information associated with the first activity may be stored in an activity profile associated with the device. An activity database may be analyzed based upon the activity profile to identify one or more activity identifiers of the activity database. The activity database may comprise a plurality of activity identifiers and/or funnel stage tags associated with the plurality of activity identifiers. A request for content, associated with an entity, may be received from the device. A funnel stage score may be determined based upon one or more funnel stage tags associated with the entity and/or the one or more activity identifiers. A content item, associated with the entity, may be selected based upon the funnel stage score.

Abstract: One or more computing devices, systems, and/or methods for selecting a primary language are provided. For example, a profile of a device may be generated comprising indications of a plurality of content items transmitted to the device and/or indications of a plurality of web pages associated with the plurality of content items. The profile may be analyzed to determine that a first language is associated with a plurality of items of the profile and the plurality of items comprises more than a threshold amount of items. The first language may be selected as a primary language of the device. A request for content may be received. A content item, associated with the first language, may be selected based upon the selection of the first language as the primary language. The content item may be transmitted to the device.

Abstract: Methods and apparatus for detecting abusive language are disclosed. In one embodiment, a set of character N-grams is ascertained for a set of text. Feature values for a plurality of features of the set of text are determined, based, at least in part, on the set of character N-grams. A computer-generated model is applied to the feature values for the plurality of features to generate a score for the set of text, where the model includes a plurality of weights, each of the weights corresponding to one of the features. It may then be determined whether the set of text includes abusive language based, at least in part, on the score.

Abstract: An immersive three-dimensional display with interactive content panels which is responsive to input from users' interactions is disclosed. A panoramic image is spherically mapped to a virtual three-dimensional space. Interactive content is configured with transparent images to form interactive content panels. The interactive content panels thus formed are positioned within the three-dimensional space to form the immersive 3D display with a background comprising the panoramic image. The immersive 3D display is transmitted to the client device for display to the user.

Abstract: Disclosed are systems and methods for improving interactions with and between computers in content searching, generating, hosting and/or providing systems supported by or configured with personal computing devices, servers and/or platforms. The systems interact to identify and retrieve data within or across platforms, which can be used to improve the quality of data used in processing interactions between or among processors in such systems. The disclosed systems and methods provide systems and methods for automatically determining and suggesting media for a user based on a determined state of the user. The state determination of a user is based on user input respective to media representing specific categories of moods.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and programming for performing system updates are described herein. In a non-limiting embodiment, a first device from each of a plurality of rolls of devices may be downscaled, where each roll of devices is configured with information associated with that roll. Each first device may be updated with a new version of the information associated with a corresponding roll of devices, and each first device may be upscaled to the corresponding roll of devices. One or more additional devices from each of the plurality of rolls of devices may be downscaled, and, in parallel, each of the one or more additional devices may be updated with the new version of information associated with the corresponding roll of devices. Each of the one or more additional devices may then be upscaled to the corresponding roll of devices.
