The device may determine attributes of the event; identify, based on the attributes of the multiple the images and the attributes of the event, particular images, of the multiple images, associated with the event; generate a digital image album that includes one or more of the particular images; and output the digital image album.

Abstract: System devices include network interfaces to communicate with user devices associated with a user, memories for storing instructions to be executed by processors, and the processors. The processors are configured to execute the instructions to receive, from a first user device, among the user devices, a request for content; initiate an upload of the requested content to the first user device in response to the request; receive a request for a license key from the first user device in response to the initiation of the upload; determine whether a number of concurrent sessions with the user devices exceeds a maximum number; and send the license key to the first user device when the processors determine that the number of concurrent sessions does not exceed the maximum number.

Abstract: To reduce the potential for renewed network congestion after a need for a restriction of data communications for background applications has been eliminated, the examples implement techniques in which a mobile device calculates a distributed deactivation delay value corresponding to an amount of time to wait before deactivating the restriction. The mobile device may generate a seed value unique to the mobile device for use in generating an initial distributed deactivation delay value and random control values generated by a threshold determination. The threshold determination iterates through generating a respective control value and calculating a respective threshold value until either a relationship between the respective control value and the respective threshold value meets a threshold condition or a maximum number of iterations are performed.

Abstract: A user device includes a controlling application for a child's wearable device. A network device receives configuration settings for an event widget that activates the wearable device to send a prepared text message to a trusted contact and to receive a pre-recorded audio message from the trusted contact. The network device downloads the event widget to the wearable device and receives a selection signal that the event widget was selected. The network device authorizes the wearable device to send the prepared text message to the trusted contact when the widget selection time or current location for the wearable device matches the stored configuration settings. The network device receives, from the trusted contact, an acknowledgement of the prepared text message and sends the pre-recorded audio message to the wearable device. The network device facilitates communications between the trusted contact and the controlling application to provide live video from the user device.

Abstract: A device monitors sensor data generated by movement of a wearer and determines whether the data indicates a fall. The device may include accelerometers, barometer(s), and sensors that detect, light, sound, temperature, magnetic and electric fields, strain-force on the device, and other environmental conditions. A processor determines whether the data meets a first criterion for a parameter (i.e., exceeding an acceleration or barometric pressure maximum threshold). The first criterion corresponds to a first set of known-fall event data sets. If the first criterion is met, the processor generates a full indication. If the data does not meet the first criterion, the processor compares the data to a second criterion for the same, or different, parameter. If the second parameter is met, further processing confirms a fall determination by comparing the data to other criteria corresponding to known-fall event data sets that differ from the first set.

Abstract: A device receives, from a user device, a request for a flight path for a UAV to travel in a geographical region, and determines a suggested component/software for the UAV based on capability information associated with the UAV. The device provides, to the user device, information associated with the suggested component/software, and calculates the flight path based on the capability information and real time information and non-real time information associated with the geographical region. The device generates flight path instructions for the flight path, and provides the flight path instructions to the UAV to permit the UAV to travel from in the geographical region via the flight path.

Abstract: A device receives a request for a mission that includes traversal of a flight path from one or more first locations to a second location and performance of mission operations, and determines required capabilities and constraints for the mission based on the request. The device identifies UAVs based on the required capabilities and the constraints, and calculates a cost effective mission plan, for the identified UAVs, based on the required capabilities and the constraints. The device generates mission plan instructions, for the cost effective mission plan, that include flight path instructions for the flight path and mission instructions for the mission operations. The device provides the mission plan instructions to the identified UAVs to permit the identified UAVs to travel from the one or more first locations to the second location, via the flight path, and to perform the mission operations.

Abstract: A network device associates a fleet vehicle with a driver of it. The network device receives customer input associating a group of media access control (MAC) addresses of portable devices with driver identifiers and stores, in a memory, the MAC addresses associated with the driver identifiers. The network device also receives, from a vehicle telematics unit, a vehicle identifier of a vehicle connected to the vehicle telematics unit and a MAC address of a particular portable device proximate the vehicle. Based on the MAC address of the particular portable device, the network device associates a particular driver identifier and the vehicle identifier. The vehicle telematics unit may determine that driver is no longer driving when it can no longer detect a signal from the particular portable device that was proximate the vehicle.

Abstract: A system may be configured to store a set of service-level agreements (“SLAs”) associated with a subscriber. The system may receive key performance indicator (“KPI”) information for traffic that traverses one or more nodes of a network; forecast, based on the SLA information and the KPI information, a violation of the particular SLA; take corrective action, based on the forecasting; and output, to the subscriber, derived information based on the KPI information. The derived information may be outputted after taking the corrective action, and may indicate that the particular SLA was not violated. The derived information may be outputted at a slower rate than a rate at which the KPI information is received by the system.

Abstract: An exemplary method includes a non-intrusive advertisement presentation system subscribing a user to an advertisement service associated with a media content program, detecting a presentation of the media content program together with one or more advertisements associated with the media content program, and providing, in accordance with the advertisement service and in a manner independent of the presentation of the media content program together with the one or more advertisements, advertisement content associated with the one or more advertisements for selective access by the user. Abstract: Exemplary systems and methods for providing a tailored user interface associated with a web page are disclosed. An exemplary method includes a user interface computing system identifying, from computing code representative of a web page and based on a predefined element selection heuristic, one or more select elements of the web page and generating a user interface including data representative of the one or more select elements for display on a display screen, the user interface having a presentation scheme that is different from a presentation scheme of the web page and that is tailored to facilitate interaction with the data representative of the one or more select elements by a user utilizing a set of user inputs. The multimedia client sends, over the subscription multimedia network, the keyword to an advertisement server and receives from the advertisement server, an advertisement corresponding to the keyword. The multimedia client then provides, for display to the viewer, the advertisement within the advertising break.

Abstract: An approach is provided for synchronizing video frames. Video proxies corresponding to a video master are generated. Each of the video proxies is frame-accurate with respect to the video master. The video proxies are distributed to multiple applications and/or devices that are configured to collaboratively use the video proxies. The approach also allows the user to move a session from one device to another device, while preserving frame accuracy.

Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for detecting an anomalous condition in a virtual computing environment having a virtualization control system coupled to a physical server, disk drive, and networking resources, where the virtualization control system is configured to partition the physical resources into virtual resources including virtual processor, memory, and storage resources for a plurality of virtual servers. Contents of a plurality of virtual memory storage locations are determined, where the virtual memory storage locations span multiple virtual servers. A runtime state of the virtual environment is determined based on the contents of the virtual memory storage locations. The runtime state of the virtual environment is verified for correctness or compared with a baseline state to identify a deviation from the baseline state, and a corrective action is performed when the discrepancy meets a predetermined criteria.

Abstract: A method includes identifying a first graphical application window and a second graphical application window. The first graphical application window and the second graphical application windows are each associated with separate applications. An attachment relationship may be defined between the first and second graphical application windows. A command may be received to manipulate the first graphical application window. A correlating command then manipulates the second graphical application window according to the attachment relationship between the first window and the second window, such that a spatial relationship between the first and second graphical application windows is maintained.
