Abstract: For the purpose of obtaining a cost-effective and esthetically pleasing design, it is provided in protective goggles, particularly sun goggles, consisting of a lens and earpieces with adjustable inclination, that the lens has flat lateral extensions in which slit-like recesses are provided through which extend parts of the ear pieces, the ear pieces being connected with each other via a lateral support extending along the upper edge of the lens, and in that a pivot bearing is formed between the lateral support and the lens.

Abstract: An orthodontic device has the form of a bracket with wings which are disposed on a base plate and which are constructed in the form of separate shaped parts and welded onto the base plate, the base plate itself forming a separately preformed component. Preferably, the separately preformed base plate is constructed in the form of an adhesive support or adhesive base, and for this purpose is constructed with undercut recesses on the underside of the base plate.

Abstract: A lift/tow assistance device to relieve the lower arm in sporting activities, particularly when strenuous, using equipments, which the user holds on particularly in equipment gymnastics, featuring a cuff for placing around the wrist, connected by a strap with a lock to a hook, which can be hung into the sporting equipment. In order to improve and further develop such a lift/tow assistance device so that it is not only easier to use but also ensure that it provides the user with optimum stress relief the strap lock is directly secured to the hook and is provided with a clamp lever which clamps the strap to a clamp plate of the lock when the strap is subjected to tension.

Abstract: A tennis ball comprised of a shell and cover, the ball having increased deformation for beginner's play and being characterized by the ball being between 30 and 52 grams in weight and 5.0 to 7.6 centimeters in diameter. The wall thickness of the shell is between 1.2 and 2.8 millimeters.

Abstract: A construction laser, in particular a canal construction laser, includes a water-tight housing (1), with a tubular central section (3) and face-side end sections (5). At least three adjustment feet (13,23) serve as an adjusting means, with two adjustment feet (13) lying closer to one face end and at least one more third adjustment foot (13,23), offset in the axial direction thereto, lying closer to the opposite face end of the housing (1). The two adjustment feet are positioned transversely to the longitudinal axis next to one another and held in guide slots (11) in inwardly and outwardly displaceable and lockable fashion.

Abstract: The dowel hole drilling machine comprises a workpiece support. One part of the workpiece support and a crosspiece carrying the drilling unit are mounted to be pivotally movable in unison about an axis. That workpiece support comprises eccentrically mounted supports, which are adapted to be aligned and flush with the workpiece support and to protrude beyond a workpiece support, which extends at right angles to the workpiece support and is spaced the same distance from the pivotal axis as the workpiece support. The workpiece support serves to support the workpiece during a horizontal drilling operation. When the drilling unit is in a vertical position, the stops are flush with the workpiece support and serve as stops for the drilling of the first row of dowel holes. This results in an exact coordination of the drill and the workpiece support, which constitutes a stop for and defines the location of the reference edge during the horizontal and vertical drilling operations.

Abstract: A four-valve cylinder head of a four-stroke engine has a body formed with an enlarged material cross-section portion located above a combustion chamber to increase heat exchange surface in the cylinder head. For cooling the cylinder head the latter is further formed with a straight passage receiving cooling air therethrough. The passage includes a central portion, a funnel-shaped portion communicating with the central portion, and a conical suction portion also communicating with the central portion. Cooling air is introduced into the interior of the head through the funnel-shaped portion and is sucked away through the conical suction portion.

Abstract: A holding device installable on a motorcycle for supporting saddlebags, lateral baggage pouches or luggage pieces is made of a strong, fracture-resistant synthetic material and includes two lateral holding frames which support upper frames interconnected by a transverse luggage rack. The rear part of the lower side of the upper frames has an extension for supporting transverse fastening screws which are guided in grooves formed in the top side of the underlying holding frame. The upper guiding groove permits the tilting of the upper frames downwardly about a quadrant. At the front end of the lower side of the upper frame is formed a locking nose engageable in a corresponding recessed receptacle in a lateral wall of the top side of the holding frame. By displacing and tilting the holding device, it is possible to swing open the seat of the motorcycle to access a storage compartment below the seat.

Abstract: A supporting arrangement for mounting, for example baggage pouches on a motor cycle, includes two L-shaped brackets each having a longitudinal leg and a transverse leg. The longitudinal legs each is formed with two parallel portions offset relative to one another and provided, respectively with openings or projections. In assembly the projections of one portion of one bracket engage the openings of another portion of the second bracket so that the exposed sides of the longitudinal legs of both brackets extend in the same plane.

Abstract: In a framework made of separably connected profile bars, some of the bars have longitudinal slots and others have hollow sections for engagement of a coupling member in their face ends. The coupling member consists of a bearing housing with an upwardly oriented wedge surface and a holding member with a matching inclined surface which is forced against the wedge surface by a spring force. The holding member can be moved in a longitudinal direction by an eccentric pin arranged transversely to the profile bar and located with its actuating end in a cross hole of the profile bar so that a coupling hook at the end of the holding member is movable both longitudinally relative to stationary projections of the bearing housing as well as laterally due to the rising movement of the matching inclined surface along the wedge surface.

Abstract: Rocks are known to contain minute cracks and fissures and such rocks can be crushed under less force than the ordinary crushing force when a vibrational force is applied to exert tension at the cracks and fissures. Rock crushers of the type which include hydraulic means connected to a crushing member are improved by adding means for superposing a vibratory force into hydraulic circuits of such crushers.

Abstract: A luggage rack which is mounted on the roof of an automotive vehicle and has two longitudinally extending parallel rod-shaped carriers and several traverses separably connected to and extending at right angles to the carriers. Each traverse has an elongated outer section and an elongated inner section which is telescoped into and is movable lengthwise and/or at right angles to the outer section. The sections of each traverse have intersecting sockets in the form of elongated open-ended slots receiving parts of the carriers so that the surface bounding the slots contact the respective carrier parts. Screws which extend through the outer sections and mate with nuts on or in the inner sections bias the sections of each traverse against each other and against the respective parts of the carriers to thereby fixedly hold the traverses in selected positions.

Abstract: A framework comprises bars coupled together by a coupling carried by some of the bars (carrier bars). The other bars have undercut longitudinal slots which receive coupling ends of the coupling. The coupling includes a bearing member on which is mounted an eccentric member which is rotatably accessible from one face of the bar, and a holding member which can be displaced longitudinally and laterally in response to rotation of the eccentric member. The holding member has a hook-shaped coupling end which, in the coupled position, engages in the undercut longitudinal slot in the other bar. The holding member comprises a tongs-shaped leaf-spring comprising a pair of arms joined at one end by a web. The leaf-spring surrounds the bearing member. The holding member includes a recess for housing the eccentric member. The outer end of the bearing member has a wedge portion which extends as far as the longitudinal slot in the other bar when the bars are connected.
