Abstract: A vision aid device comprises a housing, an eyepiece for holding up to an eye and viewing into the vision aid device, a camera mounted within the housing, a controller and memory operably coupled to the camera, a motion sensor operably coupled to the controller and a display operably coupled to the controller. The controller is configured to: activate the camera to capture an electronic image; store the electronic image in the memory; display on the display a magnified image which is a magnified view of the electronic image; and electronically pan the electronic image from the magnified image to display successive magnified images based on motion information generated by the motion sensor, the motion information based on motion of the vision aid device as sensed by the motion sensor.
Abstract: The present invention relates to a silicone acrylamide copolymer of high acrylamide monomer content which has transparency and low modulus, employing the following configuration. The copolymer is suitably used for various kinds of medical devices, particularly ophthalmic lenses such as a contact lens, an intraocular lens, an artificial cornea, and is especially suitable for a contact lens. A copolymer comprising (A) a multi-functional (meth)acrylamide monomer having at least one siloxane bond and at least two (meth)acrylamide groups within a molecule and (B) a mono-functional linear silicone (meth)acrylamide monomer.

Abstract: An optical filter for eye glasses, in particular suitable for spectacle lenses or ski goggles, has a spectral power transmission curve of optical radiations. The spectral power transmission curve exhibits a local maximum spectral transmission (Tmax) of radiations in a first wavelength range (??max). The first wavelength range (??max) is between 380 nm and 420 nm. The spectral power transmission curve exhibits spectral transmissions (T) of radiation in a second wavelength range (??th) which are lower than an upper threshold spectral transmission (Tth,u). The second wavelength range (??th) is between 420 nm and 500 nm and the upper threshold spectral transmission (Tth,u) is smaller than the maximum spectral transmission (Tmax). Abstract: The subject matter of the invention is a light assembly which comprises means for emitting and means for focusing one or more light beams for the lighting or the signaling of a vehicle. It also comprises a mask which extends below the focusing means. This mask has at least a first surface that can be seen by any person passing close to the vehicle and at least a second surface opposite the first surface. The mask is made from a dark diffusing material and a reflective material coating is deposited on part of the second surface while leaving a portion of this second surface free of reflective coating. Additional light-emitting means are placed opposite the second surface, such that the light rays emitted by the additional light-emitting means can pass through the mask via the portion free of reflective coating.

Abstract: A window vent stop for use in a sliding sash window assembly or a sliding door assembly. The vent stop has a housing adapted to be disposed in a recess in the non-movable sash member. This housing includes a cavity with a bottom plate therein. The tumbler has at least one pivot for pivotally securing the tumbler to the housing for movement between an extended position, to prevent movement of the sliding member and a retracted position, to allow movement of the sliding member. Also within the housing is a spring for biasing the tumbler. The housing has one or more flexible members extending from the end walls of the housing that secure the housing to an opening in a window sash when a portion of the window sash ispositioned between the underside of a lip on said housing and the flexible member.
