Certain embodiments are directed to changing or controlling the wavefront of the light entering a human eye. The lenses, devices, methods and/or systems can be used for correcting, addressing, mitigating or treating refractive errors and provide excellent vision at distances encompassing far to near without significant ghosting. The refractive error may for example arise from myopia, hyperopia, or presbyopia with or without astigmatism. Certain disclosed embodiments of lenses, devices and/or methods include embodiments that address foveal and/or peripheral vision. Exemplary of lenses in the fields of certain embodiments include contact lenses, corneal onlays, corneal inlays, and lenses for intraocular devices both anterior and posterior chamber, accommodating intraocular lenses, electro-active spectacle lenses and/or refractive surgery.

Abstract: A luminescent ophthalmic device for administering therapeutic materials, the device having at least one luminescent marker disposed in proximity to a therapeutic agent applicator so as facilitate placement in a treatment position when viewed using transcorneal or transpupillary viewing methods.
Abstract: A light-guided, ophthalmic-treatment-system for administering therapeutic agents to, into or through the scleral wall of the eye globe using any one of a variety of therapeutic applicators in conjunction with either transcorneal or transpupillary viewing methods or both.
Abstract: An apparatus for communicating exercise resistance includes a carriage assembly with at least one upper and at least one lower pulley. First and second cable ends are reeved around the upper and lower pulleys, respectively, and are coupled to a source of selectable exercise resistance. An exercise member is selectively coupled to the two cable ends such that movement of the exercise member away from the carriage is subject to a first exercise resistance when only one of the cable ends is attached and is subject to a second, greater exercise resistance when both cable ends are attached.
Abstract: Adjustment device of the position of a first part of a lighting and/or signaling device of a motor vehicle in relation to a second part of this device. The adjustment device has a screw in mechanical liaison with the first part and in helical liaison with the second part, the helical liaison comprising: a sliding pivot liaison linking the screw to the second part, the screw being clipped into a bore which has an opening according to a first axis (X) and a conformation completed on the second part which matches the threads of the screw.

Abstract: The present invention describes single-piece or multi-piece Rigid Inserts that may be included in an Ophthalmic Lenses or may comprise the Ophthalmic Lens, wherein the Rigid Insert may be formed through the processing of thin sheet material by thermoforming. Single piece annular Rigid Inserts may perform the function of providing a template for printed patterns to be included in Ophthalmic Lenses. Single piece full Rigid Inserts may perform the function of polarizing light or filtering light based on the properties of materials used to form the insert. Multi-piece Rigid Inserts may include activation and energization elements. The present invention also includes methods and apparatus for forming the Rigid Inserts.

Abstract: The invention relates to an optical unit, notably for a motor vehicle signaling and/or lighting device, comprising: at least one light source, notably an LED, at least one board bearing the light source, this board comprising an electric circuit to power the light source, a light guide made at least partially from a material through which light can travel, this guide being designed to accept light from the light source and to guide this light, the optical unit being characterized in that the board is borne by the light guide.
Abstract: The present invention relates to target acquisition and related devices, and more particularly to telescopic gunsights and associated equipment used to achieve shooting accuracy at, for example, close ranges, medium ranges and extreme ranges at stationary and moving targets.
Abstract: A method of finding unique targets arranged in a unique sequence of targets in a color image applies ratio space rich colored filtering to identify a band of pixels that form a transition curve from one rich color to another. A set of transition curves with simple geometric and color properties for the entire image, are compared to a database of target properties to identify a target in an image. The targets are provided on a carrier that is attached to a surface to enable processor to identify the surface location and orientation by the targets.
Abstract: A module for use with a mobile device to measure an aberration of a patient's eye includes a light shaft having a proximal end and a distal end, and a light source. The light shaft includes a first plurality of optical components arranged to direct light along a first light path from the light source to the proximal end, and a second plurality of optical components arranged to direct light along a second light path from the proximal end to a light detector of the mobile device. A connector at the distal end includes at least one guide component for positioning the distal end adjacent to the light detector. When the distal end is positioned adjacent to the light detector, the first plurality of optical components directs light along the first light path and the second plurality of optical components directs light along the second light path.
Abstract: A camera for enhanced color imaging in a low light environment including: one or more illuminators for illuminating a R, a G, and a B light at different time periods; an image sensor for capturing R G and B image frames; and a processor configured to generate an intermediate color frame from each of the R, G and B image frames; determine moving pixels in the each of the intermediate color frames; determine a true color for the moving pixels in each intermediate color frame; generate a true color frame for each intermediate color frame by substituting color of the moving pixels with respective true colors of the moving pixels, in intermediate color frame; calculate scene color metrics from the true color frame or intermediate color frame; and adaptively adjust illumination of one or more of the R, G, and B lights to enhance a next frame.
Abstract: An automobile vehicle lighting and/or signaling device comprising an assembly of parts comprising a first part having a closed contour or an open contour, and a joining member with a first adhesive side that receives the first part so that after sticking the first part to the joining member the adhesive side has a free region adjacent the contour of the part.
