    Abstract: In at least some implementations, a carburetor includes a body, a fuel pump diaphragm and a pressure pulse passage. The fuel pump diaphragm is carried by the body and defines in part a fuel chamber on one side of the fuel pump diaphragm and a pressure pulse chamber on the other side of the fuel pump diaphragm. The pressure pulse passage communicates the pressure pulse chamber with a pressure pulse source to provide pressure pulses in the pressure pulse chamber to actuate the fuel pump diaphragm. The pressure pulse passage includes an inlet communicating with a passage in which pressure pulses are present and the inlet is spaced from a surface defining the passage in which pressure pulses are present.

The main body includes a main bore through which fluid flows for delivery to an engine. And the adjuster is moveable relative to the throttle valve and engageable with the throttle valve to adjust the range of motion of the throttle valve. In at least some implementations, the adjuster limits the range of motion of the throttle valve when the adjuster is engaged with the throttle valve.

    Abstract: In at least some implementations, an ignition system for a light-duty combustion engine includes a charge winding, a microcontroller and a power supply sub-circuit. The sub-circuit is coupled to both the charge winding and the microcontroller and includes a first power supply switch, a power supply capacitor and a power supply zener. The sub-circuit is arranged to turn off the first power supply switch so that charging of the power supply capacitor stops when the charge on the power supply capacitor exceeds the breakdown voltage on the power supply zener. In at least some implementations, the power supply capacitor may power the microcontroller and the power supply sub-circuit may limit or reduce the amount of electrical energy taken from the induced AC voltage of the charge winding to a level that is still able to sufficiently power the microcontroller yet saves energy for use elsewhere in the system.
