Abstract: An air suspension control system utilizes a suspension control module, one or more pneumatic control modules, and an end cap for controlling air-spring suspension units of different configurations. The system is expandable, and each pneumatic control module has an integrated air-spring pressure sensor, and an electrical connector to connect with an electronic height sensor. The system can level the suspension units based on air-spring pressure or air-spring height. The system is wireless enabled to provide connectivity to smartphone apps and dedicated devices for user interface, and allows for wireless updating of firmware.
Abstract: A flush mount fog pod is front-mounted through a hole in a vehicle or bumper frame. A bracket is inserted through the hole and turned 90 degrees for mounting to a bezel, which is attached to the front of the hole with bolts and nuts. A light pod is then snapped into the bracket. An adjustor bolt adjustably attaches to the back of the light pod through an access hole in the bezel and controls the tilt of the light pod by screwing and unscrewing the head of the adjustor bolt from the front of the light. A protective cover rotates over the head of the adjustor bolt when not in use to protect it from dirt and debris.
Abstract: A Dual Air Spring Design for Applications with NarrowPackaging Envelope and High Load Requirements provides two, small-diameter air springs that can be retrofitted onto an existing vehicle frame to provide additional lift and suspension capabilities. The smaller size allows for the same lifting and suspension capabilities as a traditional, single air spring, but with easier and more compact installation, without impeding the factory bump-stops and easy integration with aftermarket lift blocks.
Abstract: A Retrofittable Air Suspension Brackets assembly comprises an air spring retained between an Upper Air Spring Mount and a Lower Air Spring Bracket. The Upper Air Spring Mount is attached to Upper Frame Brackets that are held in place by two U-Bolts, which also secure the Lower Air Spring Bracket and a Cradle Structure which limits movement of the vehicle frame member.
Abstract: A primary air suspension system with the reliability of a secondary air suspension system by guaranteeing a minimum pressure in the air spring through a simple mechanical residual pressure valve. The residual pressure valve is set to the air spring pressure required to hold the rear of the unloaded pickup truck at the designed ride height if any of the components (compressor, tank, valves, air lines, Schrader valve, or electronic controller) failure.
Abstract: A pressure vessel made of two thin-walled, closed-end tube sections joined at a central hub that encircles the open ends of the two closed-end tube sections, with a plurality of radial bolts attaching the sections together. The central hub has an O-ring groove in which an O-ring rests, providing a seal between the interior of the pressure vessel and the outside. The inner wall of the central hub may have radially thin and radially thick sections to distribute and minimize weight without sacrificing strength. The assembly may be attached to a mounting surface through a dovetail mount on the central hub.
Abstract: An improved clamping mechanism to secure a tire between a bead ring and a wheel utilizing a bolt. The bolt has a ball seat that pivots within an enlarged pilot hole in the bead ring as the bolt threads engage in threaded section of the wheel, pulling the bead ring toward the wheel, eventually leveraging off a fulcrum on either the bead ring or wheel against the tire bead bundle and pressing down the tire bead to lock it in place against the wheel. As the bead ring can pivot within the enlarged pilot hole around the bolt, the bolt is not stressed. Further, the wheel comprising a safety bead and non-skid coating on the inner wall of the wheel to prevent the wheel sliding around the wheel.
Abstract: A method and related software program for the purchasing, selling and exchanging of motor vehicle parts provides an efficient means to save customers money off the purchase of new parts and to effectively recycle old vehicle parts. In differing embodiments, the program may be software or a mobile application that allows a user to obtain the value of unneeded automobile parts. Further, the user can input a plurality of criteria related to the part in order to obtain the value, wherein third parties can also offer to buy the part.
Abstract: A wheel with a tire bead area, in which a tire bead sits, and an aero lip which provides structural integrity to the wheel and anchors the part of the wheel that secures and protects a mudcover. Inside of the aero lip is a cover insert that protects the mudcover. The mudcover rests against a cover support ledge, and is bolted with a mudcover bolt into a threaded insert that is held by a cover tab . The mudcover is bolted directly to the wheel, as opposed to the prior art. The mudcover bolt can also be a twist-rivet or nut-rivet combination.
