Abstract: The disclosure relates to an adjustable rear iron sight for a firearm. The rear iron sight includes features that maintain its various components in a state of alignment, that permit the rear iron sight to be locked in raised and lowered positions, and that bias a dual aiming aperture against movement while nevertheless permitting the user to easily rotate the dual aiming aperture to switch between its large-diameter and small-diameter apertures.

Abstract: Gas block assemblies for use with gas-actuated firearms include a flow-restrictor device that permits variation of the flow of propellant gas to the action of the firearm. The flow-restrictor device is switchable between a first position at which the device restricts the flow, and a second position at which the device does not present any restriction to the flow. In addition, the flow restrictor device can be configured to permit adjustments in the degree of flow restriction generated when the flow-restrictor device is in its first position.
Abstract: A trigger mechanism for a firearm includes a hammer element pivotable between a ready position and a fired position, and a trigger element pivotable between a first position that retains the hammer element in the ready position, and a second position that releases the hammer element. The hammer element may include a hammer sear or a trigger sear having an initial sear surface and a terminal sear surface. The trigger element may include a trigger sear that at least partially engages a portion of the hammer sear when the hammer element is in the ready position.
Abstract: The disclosure relates to a firearm accessory mount having a fastening system that is self-calibrated to achieve a proper predetermined attachment force for securely attaching the accessory mount to a firearm, without the need for a torque wrench.
Abstract: A sear mechanism for a firearm includes a trigger element having one or more contact surfaces on which one or more movable or pivotable components of the sear mechanism selectively contacts or slides. In some embodiments, the trigger element is made by producing an intermediate workpiece of the trigger element by a manufacturing process, and electric discharge machining the intermediate workpiece of the trigger element to provide the contact surfaces.
Abstract: A safety selector assembly for a firearm includes a cylinder sized and shaped to be rotatably received within a lower receiver; and a lever detachably coupled to the cylinder end and secured to the cylinder end by a threaded member. The threaded member is configured to engage the cylinder end, and to move between a first and a second position in relation to the cylinder end. The lever is configured to engage the threaded member when the threaded member is in the first position, and interfering contact between the threaded member and the lever causes the lever to be retained on the cylinder end. The lever can be removed from the cylinder end when the threaded member is in the second position.
