Abstract: As set forth herein, a finisher module within an automated print system is described. A compiler delivery system receives and organizes one or more sheets in a predetermined configuration for delivery. A compiling belt system receives the one or more sheets from the compiler deliver system, locates the one or more sheets and transports the sheets concurrent to one or more finishing processes. A side tamper system moves alongside the compiling belt system to side tamp and register sheets in the cross process direction. A stapler/stitcher assembly moves alongside the compiling belt system to perform at least one of a stapling and a stitching operation as the one or more sheets are transported.
Abstract: A fixing device includes a fixing member that comes into contact with a recording medium while rotating a heating unit that heats the fixing member, a pressing member that presses the recording medium to the fixing member while rotating, and an air supply unit that supplies air to a part included in an angle range of 90 degrees toward a downstream side of the pressing member in a rotating direction from a contact position between the pressing member and the fixing member.
Abstract: The invention relates to a multiple platform architecture data reporting system for managing attribute data. The system comprises: a system manager for collecting attribute data from multiple platforms and a user interface connected to the system manager for displaying the collected attribute data to a user. Also disclosed is a method for managing attribute data in a multiple platform architecture comprising the steps of polling at least two platforms for attribute data, collecting the attribute data from the at least two platforms in response to the step of polling, and then displaying the collected attribute data on a user display.

Abstract: An image forming system includes: a resource information storage unit that previously stores resource information to be combined with input print information; a first setting unit that sets an image characteristic of the resource information stored in the resource information storage unit; a second setting unit that sets an image characteristic of the input print information; and a color conversion unit that, when the image characteristic set by the first setting unit and the image characteristic set by the second setting unit are different, performs color conversion on the resource information based on the image characteristic set by the first setting unit, and performs color conversion on the print information based on the image characteristic set by the second setting unit.
Abstract: A light-collecting device is provided, a light-collecting device, including: a first volume hologram recorded in a hologram recording layer by interference of a first spherical wave and a planar wave, the first spherical wave passing through a light path of diffused light which radiates from a light incident point, passes through the hologram recording layer and spreads to a predetermined diameter; and a second volume hologram recorded in the hologram recording layer by interference of a second spherical wave and the planar wave, the second spherical wave passing through a light path of converging light which radiates from the same side as the first spherical wave, passes through the hologram recording layer and converges at an image-forming point distanced from the hologram recording layer by a predetermined distance, the planar wave intersecting with the first spherical wave and the second spherical wave.
Abstract: An image forming apparatus includes: a plurality of image carrying members; a plurality of rotation cleaning members disposed for the respective image carrying members and cleaning surfaces of the respective image carrying members through rotation; and a controller that rotates the plurality of rotation cleaning members at different rotation speeds in accordance with wear amounts of the respective image carrying members.
Abstract: Toner particles, including at least one binder, at least one colorant, and at least one metal oxide surface additive, wherein the at least one metal oxide surface additive is a metal oxide particle covalently bonded with at least one polycondensation polymer.
Abstract: A method of making toner particles, includes: mixing a latex emulsion, a colorant emulsion, an optional was emulsion, and optional additives in a first reactor to form a slurry; discharging the slurry from the first reactor to a second reactor through a homogenizer; heating the slurry in the second reactor to form aggregated particles in said slurry; discharging the aggregated particles and slurry from the second reactor to a third reactor; heating the aggregated particles and slurry in the third reactor to coalesce the aggregated particles into toner particles; discharging the toner particles and slurry from the third reactor to a fourth reactor; cooling the toner particles; optionally classifying said toner particles to remove coarse particles; and optionally washing and drying said toner particles, wherein the first reactor, second reactor, third reactor, and fourth reactor are at least two different reactors.
