Abstract: An image generation apparatus includes an acquisition unit and a generation unit. The acquisition unit acquires information to be embedded in each of a plurality of partitions on a recording medium. The generation unit generates an image in which first pattern images representing the information and a second pattern image controlling acquisition of the information from the first pattern images are placed in each of the plurality of partitions. The first and second pattern images are ones of mCn pattern images which are obtained by placing a unit image in n points selected from among m points where m and n are natural numbers, m?4, and 2?n<m.
Abstract: The present invention provides an inkjet recording head and inkjet recording device which can eject a high viscosity ink at ordinary temperature. The inkjet recording head has a nozzle portion ejecting an ink drop; an ink flow path member including the nozzle portion; and a driving section moving the ink flow path member in an ink drop ejecting direction and an opposite direction. The driving section moves the ink flow path member in the ink drop ejecting direction, and applies inertia in the ejecting direction to internal ink by one of suddenly stopping the ink flow path member and moving the ink flow path member in the opposite direction, and makes the ink drop be ejected from the nozzle portion.
Abstract: An information recording system includes an image generating unit that generates, from input manuscript data, image data of the manuscript; a characteristic data extracting unit that extracts, from the image data, characteristic data indicating a characteristic of the image data generated by the image generating unit; a characteristic data coding unit that encodes the characteristic data; and an image forming unit that forms the image data on an image recording medium together with the encoded characteristic data.
Abstract: An image forming apparatus includes a sheet feeder attaching unit, a communication unit, a connection determining unit, an acquiring unit, a storage unit, a compatibility determining unit and a forcible unconnected control unit. The connection determining unit causes the communication unit to communicate with a communication section of a sheet feeder, and determines whether the sheet feeder is connected based on a communication result. The acquiring unit acquires attribute information of the sheet feeder. The storage unit stores attribute information of sheet feeders being compatible, in terms of control, with the image forming apparatus. The compatibility determining unit determines whether the connected sheet feeder is compatible by comparing the acquired attribute information of the connected sheet feeder with the stored attribute information.

Abstract: A method, device, and system maintain a database of printed publications within a first computerized device. The printed publications each have one or more printable images. The first computerized device receives from a second computerized device (that is operatively connected to the first computerized device) a request for at least one of the printable images within a printed publication within the database. The request has an identifier of the printed publication and at least one page number of the printed publication. The first computerized device transmits display information to the second computerized device to cause the second computerized device to display one or more of the printable images appearing on the page number of the printed publication. The first computerized device receives an image selection from the second computerized device that identifies selected images from among the printable images displayed by the second computerized device.
Abstract: A facsimile apparatus includes a first detecting unit and a second detecting unit. The a first detecting unit detects whether a facsimile communication is established or not with a communication destination in a prescribed time after a selection signal is sent to the communication destination with a communication line held. The second detecting unit detects a state of the communication line with the communication line held when the first detecting unit detects that a facsimile communication is not established.
Abstract: A photoreceptor unit of an image forming apparatus includes an attachment body, a photoreceptor body, a first gripping portion, and a second gripping portion. The attachment body is attached to the image forming apparatus and is detachable from the image forming apparatus. The photoreceptor body is rotatably provided in the attachment body. The first gripping portion is provided in the attachment body. The second gripping portion is provided in the attachment body and is contactable with the photoreceptor body when the photoreceptor unit is gripped. The second gripping portion does not contact the photoreceptor body when the photoreceptor unit is attached to the image forming apparatus. The photoreceptor body is provided between the first gripping portion and the second gripping portion and is allow to be gripped by using the first gripping portion and the second gripping portion.
Abstract: According to an embodiment a method of making a fuser member is described. The method includes, obtaining a silicone layer disposed on a substrate and coating a primer composition including an aqueous dispersion of a fluorelastomer and a curing agent on the silicone layer. A topcoat composition is coated on the primer composition which includes a fluoroplastic dispersion. The primer composition and the topcoat composition are heated to form the fuser member.

Abstract: A computer readable medium storing a program causing a computer to execute a process for verification support, the process includes: acquiring information of a timing of transmission of a process request for operating a program to-be-verified; acquiring first record information of a transfer process in a time zone corresponding to the acquired timing of the transmission, from a transfer device which transfers the process request to any of a plurality of information processing devices capable of running the program to-be-verified and which records the transfer process; specifying the information processing device to which the process request has been transferred, on the basis of the acquired first record information of the transfer process; and acquiring second record information of a process in the time zone corresponding to the timing of the transmission, from the specified information processing device.
Abstract: A system and method for resizing a digitally represented color image are presented. A color image with pixels defined by luminance and at least one chrominance value is received. For each pixel of the color image, a luminance spatial variation and respective chrominance spatial variations in the respective neighborhood of the each pixel are computed. The luminance spatial variation and the respective chrominance spatial variations are combined to produce a respective importance value for each pixel. Selected pixels are identified based upon their respective importance values and are removed by seam carving of the color image. The seam carving identifies seams of pixels based upon the respective importance values of pixels within the seams of pixels to create a resized color image. The resized color image is produced to an image output device.

Abstract: What is provided is a system and method for time sequencing editing steps for allowing users to visualize and modify the editing history of a two-dimensional digital document. A three-dimensional image of the document is presented to the user with time of editing being represented as a third dimension. This three-dimensional presentation of editing operations provides the user with an “omniscient” perspective of the document where part of all of a document's editing history is represented. The document state at any point in its life, as affected by various previously preformed editing operations, is given by a corresponding slice through the three-dimensional object. The user is provided with an ability to manipulate the three-dimensional representation to not only undo prior operations but also to perform different editing operations at anytime in the editing history of the document, and thereby change the editing history of the document. Various embodiments are disclosed.

Abstract: An image forming apparatus includes a first acquiring unit, a determination unit, a second acquiring unit, and a notifying unit. The first acquiring unit acquires first settable region information on a plane-shaped recording medium in other image forming apparatus. The first settable region information indicates a first settable region on which a registration mark is settable. The determination unit determines a first region based on the first settable region information. The first region is a region on which the registration mark is formable in a cascade printing system including the image forming apparatus and the other image forming apparatus. The second acquiring unit acquires second settable region information on the plane-shaped recording medium. The second settable region information indicates a second settable region on which the registration mark is formable in the plane-shaped recording medium. The notifying unit provides invalidity information indicating the registration mark is possible invalid.
