Abstract: A system and method for accurately communicating color production printer color requirements include color selector software to display an interactive original document on a monitor. Tools enable navigating the displayed original document, tagging at least one critical color of the displayed document, and selection of a color tolerance in connection with each tagged critical color of the displayed document. Target builder software creates a master critical colors chart displaying only tagged critical colors for the original document, a master color aim chart, and a master color tolerance chart of critical colors and associated color tolerances identified in the displayed document. At least the critical colors chart and original document are printed. A printed master color aim chart and master color tolerance chart and customer printed charts are compared to the production end printed master critical colors chart for visually determining tolerances of customer printed charts.
Abstract: The present invention provides a droplet ejection device that includes a head, a storage component and an alteration component. At the head, a plurality of nozzles, which eject droplets in accordance with image data representing an image, are arrayed over a width in a main scanning direction which is longer than a recording region width. The head forms a main scanning line with the droplets ejected from the nozzles. At the storage component, inclination information relating to an inclination of the main scanning line formed by the head with respect to a main scanning line that should ideally be formed is pre-stored. The alteration component, in accordance with the inclination information stored at the storage component, alters which nozzles are to eject droplets in accordance with the image data.

Abstract: A device for acquiring color images using a color filter array. The color filter array includes a pattern of red array elements, green array elements, and blue array elements. The red array elements and green array elements occur in the color filter array more frequently than the blue array elements. This multiplicity of red, green, and blue color filters adheres closely to known human visual system (HVS) chrominance and luminance responses. Also, the pattern has periodicity in the diagonal directions and is relatively immune to Moire artifacts that arise due to interference between periodic sampling patterns of the CFA and periodic features in imaged scenes.
Abstract: A reactive ink set including three mixtures of radically polymerizable monomers. A first mixture includes a peroxide, a second mixture includes a peroxide decomposition agent, and an optional third mixture that does not include a peroxide or a peroxide decomposition agent. The first mixture and the second mixture polymerize to form a solid ink on the substrate following jetting in the liquid state.

Abstract: A method for reducing electromagnetic emissions in an electronic device having a multiple micro-controllers includes identifying the number of micro-controllers installed in the electronic device. An operating frequency range of the electronic device is determined based on the operating frequency range of each micro-controller. A frequency spacing for each micro-controller within the operating frequency range of the electronic device is then calculated, and an operating frequency is assigned to each micro-controller. The operating frequency of each micro-controller is separated from the operating frequency of each other micro-controller by at least the frequency spacing. Then, the operating frequency of each micro-controller is set at the assigned operating frequency.

Abstract: User's interests can be explicitly determined via keywords that the user specifies, and/or are implicitly constructed from user browsing and reading activity. User interests may be expressed as an interest profile. Conceptual keywords related to user interests are selected by combining spreading activation and word co-occurrence, by latent semantic analysis, or other methods. One embodiment automatically highlights sentences and other information that contain conceptual keywords related to user interests. Highlights can be activated when the user directly performs a keyword search or index search, or the invention can generate information reflecting user interests, apply it to the text, and generate and display highlights. One embodiment includes an algorithm for computing a conceptual keyword vector through an iterative spreading activation process also employing word co-occurrence. A conceptual index of the text may be created and then combined with conceptual highlighting.
