Abstract: There is provided an information processing apparatus including: an execution unit that executes a first process or a second process with respect to a processing target in a case where an execution instruction is given to any one of the first process and the second process specified by a setting item and a preparatory action with respect to the processing target; a memory that stores the preparatory action in association with the setting item; and an execution controller that deems that the execution instruction is given in a case where the preparatory action stored in the memory is given, and controls the execution unit such that the first process or the second process specified by the preparatory action and the setting item stored in the memory in association with the preparatory action is executed with respect to the processing target.
Abstract: A system for predicting one or more stock-related device settings, includes memory which stores a crowdsourcing component. The crowdsourcing component acquires reports from multiple printers in a fleet of printers. The reports each include performance data and printer attributes used when printing one of a plurality of stocks, the printer attributes including at least one device setting. A learning component learns relationships between printer settings and performance, e.g., in the form of a prediction model, based on the acquired reports. A prediction component uses the learned relationships to predict device settings for the stock for at least one of the printers in the fleet of printers and a processor, in communication with the memory, which implements the components.
Abstract: An information processing device includes a controller that controls an instruction to a control target associated with an image displayed at a changed position, according to a detection result of a change in each position on a deformable display. In a further modification of the invention, the controller may further change the image displayed at the changed position, according to the detection result.
Abstract: A system treats uneven surfaces of additive manufactured objects to improve the transparency and glossiness of the surfaces. The system operates a sprayer to apply fluid material used to form the uneven surface to the uneven surface to smooth the surface or the system operates an actuator to dip the additive manufactured object into a bath of fluid material that is the same as the material used to form the uneven surface to smooth the surface. A heater is provided to dry non-UV curable material applied to the uneven surface and a source of UV radiation is provided to cure UV curable material applied to the uneven surface.

Abstract: Examples of a printing system are described herein. In an example, the printing system that uses the original print job created for the PDF/VT file for building a modified print job that includes a set of instructions to render the PDF/VT file which is modified on the run, or on the fly. The original print job includes instructions for using a fixed metadata. In one example, the fixed metadata is a Document Part (DPart) Metadata (DPM), and can be expressed in a hierarchical structure expressed in a tree structure called Document Part (DPart). The metadata is extracted from the PDF/VT file, and then used to build the modified print job including alternate instructions based on print conditions corresponding to the metadata.

Abstract: There is provided a drying device. Laser elements control energies of laser beams to be radiated, and radiates laser beams onto predetermined regions of an image, respectively. A controller controls average irradiation energy of laser beams by calculating printing rates for plural types of divided patterns with respect to the regions of the image, and calculating energy required to dry, for each divided pattern, based on the printing rates calculated for individual divided patterns, and selecting energy to be adopted according to a purpose, from the energy calculated for the individual divided patterns.

Based upon the judgment result of the color judging unit 2, an image synthesizing unit 6 adds the color additional image stored in the color image storage unit 4 to the input image when the input image is the color image, and adds the black/white additional image stored in the black/white image storage unit 5 in the input image when the input image is the black/white image. Then, the image synthesizing unit 6 outputs the resulting image synthesized with the additional image.
