Abstract: Alignment apparatuses include a frame and contact elements connected to the frame. The contact elements contact items that are to be transported in a processing direction relative to the frame. The contact elements are in permeant fixed positions relative to the frame, and do not move relative to the frame. Adjustable mounts are connected to the frame and move the frame in the processing direction and in a perpendicular cross-processing direction. A controller is electrically connected to the adjustable mounts, and the controller is adapted to control the adjustable mounts to simultaneously move the frame and all the contact elements in the cross-processing direction and the processing direction while rotating the frame. Methods laterally shift imaging on sheets that have had rotational correction performed by such alignment apparatuses.

Abstract: A document management system includes one or more processing apparatuses and a management apparatus. Each processing apparatus is located on one of local networks, and executes a protection process to generate a protected document from a document. The management apparatus is located on an external network connected to the local networks, and manages the processing apparatus(es). Each processing apparatus includes a transmitter and a generator. The transmitter transmits a status of the processing apparatus to the management apparatus. The generator executes the protection process on an input document and generates a protected document upon being permitted by the management apparatus to execute the protection process. The management apparatus includes a receiver and a controller. The receiver receives, from the processing apparatus(es), statuses of the processing apparatus(es).
Abstract: Example implementations described herein are directed to systems and methods for providing documents in the chat of a chat application. Example implementations can involve detecting, in a chat of a chat application, an indication to edit a document; inserting a fragment of the document into the chat of the chat application, the fragment configured to be editable within the chat of the chat application; and modifying the document based on input provided to the fragment of the document in the chat of the chat application.

Abstract: A bookmaking system includes sets of redundant cover printers and book block printers and a binder (or set of binders) for binding a printed cover page, printed by an assigned one of the set of redundant cover printers, and a corresponding set of printed pages for a book block, printed by an assigned one of the set of redundant book block printers, together to form a book. A transport mechanism connects the redundant printers and redundant cover printers with the binder. Abstract: A relay system includes a first relay device, a second relay device, a controller, and a route advertisement unit. The second relay device receives route advertisement from the first relay device. If an excess of a number of pieces of routing information registered in a routing table of the second relay device over a maximum number of pieces of routing information registrable in the routing table is predicted, the controller controls a number of pieces of routing information that are to undergo the route advertisement from the first relay device to the second relay device. The route advertisement unit performs the route advertisement to the second relay device after excluding, from pieces of routing information registered in a routing table of the first relay device, a piece of routing information set not to undergo the route advertisement as a result of the control of the number of pieces of routing information by the controller.

Abstract: A capping station is configured for storing printheads during printer inactivity to preserve the viscosity of the ink in the nozzles of the printheads. Each capping station has a receptacle, a vacuum source, a transducer, and a valve in an opening in a floor of the receptacle. A controller is operatively connected to actuators to move the receptacle so a seal on an upper wall of the receptacle engages a printhead housing. The controller also operates the valve to close the opening in the receptacle floor and then operates the vacuum source to establish a negative pressure in the volume within the receptacle. The transducer is then operated by the controller to fluctuate ink menisci in the nozzles of the printheads to prevent the ink from drying in the nozzles.
