Abstract: An additive manufacturing system enables continual production of three-dimensional objects without operator intervention. The system is configured to form an object on a planar member, rotate the planar member 180° to enable gravity to move the object from the planar member to an object transport, which carries the object to a receptacle for storage and later processing. The opposite side of the planar member is then available for manufacture of another object and the planar member is again rotated following manufacture of the object so it can be removed and carried to the receptacle. The alternating formation of objects on opposite sides of the planar member continues until a predetermined number of objects has been made. The planar member can include one or more heaters to heat the surface on which an object is formed to facilitate release of the object once the planar member has been rotated.

Abstract: A printing system receives a print request containing patterns of marks to be printed on print media to produce printed output. A processor evaluates the print request to identify different printing densities of the patterns of marks. The processor alters the patterns of marks to create hidden features on the printed output by adding different printing densities of fluorescent spots to different areas of the patterns of marks. The different printing densities of the fluorescent spots are based on the different printing densities of the patterns of marks and on the size of the hidden features. A printing device prints the print request on the print media to produce the printed output.

Abstract: Provided herein is a composition for eutectic metal alloy nanoparticles having an average particle size ranging from about 0.5 nanometers to less than about 5000 nanometers and at least one organoamine stabilizer. Also provided herein is a process for preparing eutectic metal alloy nanoparticles comprising mixing at least one organic polar solvent, at least one organoamine stabilizer, and a eutectic metal alloy to create a mixture; sonicating the mixture at a temperature above the melting point of the eutectic metal alloy; and collecting a composition comprising a plurality of eutectic metal alloy nanoparticles having an average particle size ranging from about 0.5 nanometers to less than about 5000 nanometers. Further disclosed herein are hybrid conductive ink compositions comprising a component comprising a plurality of metal nanoparticles and a component comprising a plurality of eutectic metal alloy nanoparticles.

Abstract: An information processing apparatus includes a memory and a processor. The processor is connected to the memory and configured to acquire correct recognition rates for frames corresponding to items contained in a form image from statistical data regarding results of recognition of images of contents of the frames, the statistical data including, in association with an attribute of each of the frames, a size of the frame and a correct recognition rate for the frame, the correct recognition rate indicating a percentage of correctly recognized images of contents of the frame; and perform control to change a display style of a frame for which the acquired correct recognition rate is less than or equal to a threshold among the frames on a form definition screen, the form definition screen being a screen on which the form image is defined.

Abstract: An image forming apparatus includes image forming units, secondary transfer units, and first and second detection devices. Each image forming unit includes image forming devices, and a primary intermediate transfer body. Toner images formed by the image forming devices are primarily transferred to the primary intermediate transfer body. The secondary transfer units are provided for the image forming units, respectively. Each secondary transfer unit is configured to secondarily transfer the toner images on a corresponding one of the primary intermediate transfer bodies to a transfer body. The first detection device is configured to detect the toner images downstream of the most downstream secondary transfer position. The second detection device is provided in at least one of the image forming units. The second detection device is configured to detect the toner images between the most downstream primary transfer position in the primary intermediate transfer body and a secondary transfer position.
Abstract: A three-dimensional (3-D) printer includes build and support material development stations positioned to transfer layers of build and support materials to an intermediate transfer surface. The intermediate transfer surface transfers a layer of the build and support materials to a platen each time the platen contacts the intermediate transfer surface. A sensor detects the thickness of the layer on the platen, and a mechanical planer is positioned to contact and level the layer on the platen as the platen moves past the mechanical planer. Additionally, a feedback loop is electrically connected to the sensor and the mechanical planer. The mechanical planer adjusts the amount of the build material and the support material removed from the layer based on the thickness of the layer on the platen, as determined by the sensor.

Abstract: A computer-implemented method for writing to a printed memory device is disclosed. The computer-implemented method includes determining, by a microcontroller, a first encoding scheme from among a plurality of encoding schemes to write a first data portion from among a plurality of data portions, wherein the first encoding scheme comprises a first voltage and a first pulse width to be used to write the first data portion; providing, by the microcontroller, the first encoding scheme to an application-specific integrated circuit (ASIC); selecting, by the ASIC, a first target memory cell of the printed memory device corresponding to a first word line and a first bit line for the first data portion to be written; and writing, by the ASIC, the first data portion to the first target memory cell using the first encoding scheme.
