  • Patent number: 5939853
Abstract: In the process steps a tentative value (m) of a deviation in a turning angle of a rotor of the stepping motor is determined each time the stepping motor runs. A cumulative amount of the tentative values (m) forms an estimated value (S) of the deviation in the turning angle of the rotor of the stepping motor. This estimated value (S) of the stepping motor. This estimated value (S) of the deviation is stored in a predetermined memory area. When an ignition switch is turned on, it is judged whether or not the estimated value (S) of the deviation thus stored until the ignition switch is turned on, exceeds a predetermined value. When it is judged that such estimated value (S) exceeds the predetermined value, an initial setting of the stepping motor is made.

  • Patent number: 5938172
Abstract: A solenoid valve drive system includes a step-up circuit that produces a first high voltage by using a switching device to on/off control supply of current from a battery to a step-up coil and stores the first high voltage in a first capacitor as a high voltage for initial high-voltage driving of a solenoid valve, a second capacitor, and a discriminating circuit for discriminating the level of the charge voltage of the second capacitor. The second capacitor is charged by high voltage from the step-up circuit only when the charge voltage of the second capacitor has not reached a prescribed level. • Patent number: 5936364
Abstract: A pulse width of a drive pulse of a brushless motor is modulated in correspondence to a setting signal for setting the rotation rate. Switching control for the current supplied to exciting coils is implemented by using an output signal from Hall elements for detecting the position of the rotor and the drive pulse. Correction of the pulse width of the drive pulse is implemented to ensure that the average voltage is maintained at a constant level even when the source voltage fluctuates so that stable rotation can be maintained over the entire rotation rate range even when the source voltage supplied to the brushless motor fluctuates and so that the fuse can be prevented from melting and the motor can be prevented from becoming damaged, which may otherwise be caused by a fluctuating source voltage.

  • Patent number: 5931221
Abstract: In order to achieve an improvement in the recyclability of a heat exchanger by mounting a seal material for sealing the gap between the heat exchanger and the case in which the heat exchanger is mounted without using an adhesive or the like at the heat exchanger and thus facilitating the removal of the seal material, an arrangement for mounting the seal material is provided at a specific position at an external circumferential portion of the heat exchanger. For instance, a guide is provided by inwardly bending the central portion in the direction of airflow of each of the projecting pieces formed at the tube elements at one end in a lengthwise direction or by cutting and raising the central portion perpendicularly. A pair of retaining portions are formed at specific positions at an external circumferential portion located at the sides of the heat exchanger relative to the direction of airflow to hold the two ends of the seal material with the pair of retaining portions.

  • Patent number: 5924856
Abstract: A vane compressor has at least one of a front-side member and a rear-side member thereof formed with a suction chamber opening toward a cam ring, which has a substantially arcuate or annular shape and extends around a drive shaft. The cam ring has one end face formed with a refrigerant inlet port for supplying a low-pressure refrigerant into compression chambers formed between vanes. Alternatively, a front head is arranged on one end face of the cam ring. A shell encloses another end and an outer peripheral surface of the cam ring and holds a movable plate in a state opposed to the other end face of the cam ring such that the movable plate can be moved along a central axis of the drive shaft. An inside of the shell and the movable plate defines a high-pressure chamber therein. Each adjacent pair of the vanes, the front head, and the movable plate defines a compression chamber therein.
