Abstract: Database systems and methods are provided for providing data from a database system to a native application at a client device. Metadata indicative of a subset of data fields associated with a configuration of a graphical user interface display is downloaded to a data storage element at the client device. Thereafter, a cross-platform service at the client device receives a request for data associated with a record at the database system from the native application, requests, based on the metadata maintained in the data storage element at the client device, the subset of data fields associated with the record from the database system over the network, and provides the retrieved subset of data fields to the native application to generate the graphical user interface display in accordance with the configuration using the retrieved subset of data fields.

Abstract: Database systems and methods are provided for providing record data to an application extension associated with a native application at a client device. One method involves a cross-platform service receiving, from the native application, a query for record data associated with a record at a database system on behalf of the application extension, determining a data source for retrieving the record data based at least in part on a configuration of the native application, converting the query into a transformed query having a different format associated with the identified data source, retrieving the record data from the identified data source using the transformed query, and providing the record data to the application extension via the native application, wherein the application extension is configurable to generate a component of a graphical user interface display using the record data.

Records of the primary database that meet the criteria may be synchronized with the first instance database. Abstract: Disclosed herein are system, method, and computer program product embodiments for self-paced migration of an application programming language (API) gateway. An embodiment operates by applying a policy chain comprising a first set of policies to an API request received at a first API gateway. The embodiment forwards the API request to a second API gateway and applies, at the second gateway, a virtual policy chain comprising a second set of policies to the API request. The embodiment then forwards the API request to the first API gateway and routes the API request to a corresponding backend API.

Abstract: Techniques disclosed herein relate to managing notifications to a user associated with a computing device. The notifications correspond to a response to an indication of an exception condition on the computing device. The response to the exception condition includes a plurality of steps, including computer-implemented steps in which data objects output a plurality of notifications for the user. These notifications are processed by a notification choreographer and used to prepare a unified status communication. The unified status communication is output to the user and depicts information corresponding to a plurality of the notifications.

Abstract: A system uses a neural network based model to perform scene text recognition. The system achieves high accuracy of prediction of text from scenes based on a neural network architecture that uses double attention mechanism. The neural network based model includes a convolutional neural network component that outputs a set of visual features and an attention extractor neural network component that determines attention scores based on the visual features. The visual features and the attention scores are combined to generate mixed features that are provided as input to a character recognizer component that determines a second attention score and recognizes the characters based on the second attention score. The system trains the neural network based model by adjusting the neural network parameters to minimize a multi-class gradient harmonizing mechanism (GHM) loss. The multi-class GHM loss varies based on a level of difficulty of the sample.

Abstract: Techniques are disclosed that pertain to deploying immutable instances of a system. A computer system may maintain an active generation value that indicates an immutable instance of a database system that is permitted to write data to a database. The computer system may deploy a first immutable instance of the database system and update the active generation value to permit the first immutable instance to write data to the database. The computer system may receive a request to deploy a second immutable instance of the database system that includes an update not found in the first immutable instance. The computer system may deploy the second immutable instance and update the active generation value to cause the first immutable instance to cease writing data to the database and to permit the second immutable instance to write data to the database.

Specifically, some embodiments address data management for group-based communication channel(s) accessible to any number of entities based on various data retention policies. In this regard, embodiments enable maintenance of data associated with multiple organizations accessing a group-based communication channel based on a single, shared data retention policy, or different data retention policies, for example based on authorship of the group-based communication message. In some examples, a communication platform maintains a mentions processor configured to receive a message including a mention identifier, analyze the message to determine a type of the mention identifier included in the message, identify a second user account or a virtual space referenced by the mention identifier, determine whether a notification should be sent to the second user account or the virtual space, and, upon determining that the notification should be sent, send the notification associated with the message to the second user profile or the virtual space. In some examples, an observability class associated with the mentions processor allows the use of a mentions lookup tool to view one or more stored mention identifiers associated with the message and one or more stored notifications enqueued for the message.

Information identifying searchable tables containing fields is received using a metadata application program interface (API). The metadata API provides information about a schema of the fields and a relationship of at least one of the fields to its corresponding object. Information for generating a view of relational data is provided to the mobile communications device. The view is based on at least one of the fields of at least one of the searchable tables, and the relationship between the at least one of the fields and its corresponding object. A set of user inputs is received based on the relationship presented in the view. A query definition corresponding to the set of user inputs for searching the relational data in accordance with the set of user inputs is created and stored.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for displaying a user interface for frequent pattern (FP) analysis are described. In some cases, data stored at a multi-tenant database server may be analyzed to understand various interactions and patterns between data attributes associated with multiple users, or determine one or more attributes associated with a characterization of an individual (e.g., a persona). The multi-tenant database server may effectively cluster and/or perform calculations on attributes of the data to understand user patterns and determine common personas. The results may then be displayed by a user interface at a user device (e.g., associated with the user).

Abstract: Described are methods and systems for using policies to comply with a person's request for data pertaining to the person, pursuant to applicable data privacy laws. A policy is retrieved responsive to receiving a query that includes data to identify records that store data pertaining to the person. The policy indicates first and second database objects, and respective first and second sets of fields, which store data that pertains to persons. The policy is applied. Applying the policy includes retrieving, as first values, data stored in the first set of fields of a first record associated with the data in the query, and retrieving, as second values, data stored in the second set of fields of a second record associated with the first record. The first and second values, and the names of the fields from which they were retrieved, are stored in a document.

Abstract: Embodiments described herein provide a workflow visualization tracking tool based on text mining on a conversation channel. Specifically, a communication interface receives a plurality of user activity items that are related to a shared work item among the plurality of tenants. A first sequence of status indicators representing a workflow progress of the shared work item over a plurality of time instances may be generated from the plurality of user activity items. A first subset of the plurality of user activity items are determined, which are related to at least one sub-item reflected in the first sequence of status indicators. A second sequence of status indicators representing a second workflow progress of the at least one sub-item over the plurality of time instances may be generated from the first subset of the user activity items. The first sequence of status indicators and the second sequence of status indicators may be presented in a visualization structure via a user interface.

Abstract: An extensible platform-as-a-service (PaaS) system is used during the software development lifecycle (SDLC) processes of an application. The system, according to various embodiments, receives indications that changes are made to one or more templates or software bundles stored in a software library and coordinates how changes to a particular template will be applied to applications for an enterprise system. Specifically, the system may identify applications that are using the template and determine an ordering for a plurality of application groups that indicates a sequence in which the updates will be applied to the applications. In this manner, template updates can be automatically and systematically deployed to applications without significant involvement by users of the PaaS system.

Based upon the set of flow permissions of the flow permission metadata, it is determined whether the user is permitted to execute the flow. During execution of the flow, flow performance data such as an identification of paths of the flow that have been traversed may be obtained, where each of the paths corresponds to one or more of the flow elements.

The probabilities can be scored using and used to assign a policy to the first user. A next action can be recommended based on the policy and executed with respect to the user. The outcome of the recommended next action can be stored to the user data.

In response, the server system may obtain, from a first instance of multiple ID generator instances that implement a distributed ID generator service, a synthetic ID generated based on an identifier assigned to the first ID generator instance. The server system may insert the record with the synthetic ID and a natural ID that corresponds to one or more values of the record. The server system may cause the synthetic ID and the natural ID to be stored in an index of the database to enable the record to be accessed via the synthetic ID.
