Abstract: An applicator comprising multiple laser assemblies connected to a power supply and a controller that switches each pulse to a different one of the laser assemblies. Each laser assembly deposits a laser spot on the skin and the result is to produce a large ‘aggregate’ spot without requiring extra power or extra lasers. In one embodiment, each pulse serves as a trigger to switch the next pulse to the next laser assembly.

Abstract: Transcorneal and fiberoptic laser delivery systems and methods for the treatment of eye diseases wherein energy is delivered by wavelengths transparent to the cornea to effect target tissues in the eye for the control of intraocular pressure in diseases such as glaucoma by delivery systems both external to and within ocular tissues. External delivery may be affected under gonioscopic control. Internal delivery may be controlled endoscopically or fiber optically, both systems utilizing femtosecond laser energy to excise ocular tissue. The femtosecond light energy is delivered to the target tissues to be treated to effect precisely controlled photodisruption to enable portals for the outflow of aqueous fluid in the case of glaucoma in a manner which minimizes target tissue healing responses, inflammation and scarring.
Abstract: A medical device, comprising a housing, a combined modular structure which is formed by connecting a board card and an interface panel to a main bracket; a first opening arranged on the housing for the insertion of the combined modular structure; a first locking structure for locking and fixing the combined modular structure to the housing; a screen assembly; a second opening arranged on the housing for mounting the screen assembly, and a second locking structure for locking and fixing the screen assembly to the housing. The integral arrangement of a functional module of a medical device helps to improve the assembly precision between various components, and ensure the reliability of the connection between components. The housing adopts an integral structure, has good waterproof and dustproof effects as well as low production costs; the present disclosure facilitates the assembly of board card and other components, as well as module configuration and modular testing while also having good seismic performance.

Abstract: Disclosures of the present invention describe a method for inhibiting melatonin secretion. In the present invention, an illumination device is particularly configured for emitting an illumination light with a specific wavelength that is in a range between 581 nm and 590 nm, and a variety of experimental data have proved that the illumination light functions as a melatonin secretion inhibitor. Therefore, the illumination device of the present invention is evidenced to be suitable for use in light therapy, so as to treat seasonal affective disorder (SAD) by way of inhibiting melatonin secretion. Briefly speaking, after a SAD patient receives the irradiation of the illumination light having wavelength ranged in 581-590 nm for a treatment course, the SAD patient is eventually leaded to stay in good spirits and a stable condition of emotion, thereby curing the abnormal symptoms of sleepiness and emotional disorder.
Abstract: A system for treating and/or monitoring a patient includes a patient physiological parameter monitoring patch and a companion device. The patient physiological parameter monitoring patch including an energy harvesting module, an energy storage module, a sensor module and a communication module. The energy harvesting module harvesting energy from one or more ambient sources, the energy being storable in the energy storage module and usable by one or more components of the patient physiological parameter monitoring patch. The sensor module senses one or more physiological parameters of the patient and the communication module can transmit the sensed data. The companion device can receive the sensed physiological parameters and can send the same to a remote device or store the same.

Abstract: A narrow angle illumination light source for an ophthalmic surgical laser system includes multiple light emitting diodes (LEDs), multiple corresponding ball lenses, multiple corresponding upper apertures located between the LEDs and the lenses (optional), and multiple corresponding lower apertures located below the lenses. The light passing through each upper aperture and corresponding lens forms a light cone having a defined divergence angle and cone axis angle; the light cone only illuminates the corneal and sclera of a docked eye without illuminating the patients nose and orbit. The lower apertures may have distinctive shapes to aid video focusing. The multiple LEDs are distributed uniformly in the circle, and may be divided into multiple independently controllable segments which allows directional illumination. The LEDs also have controllable brightness to allow images of darker and brighter illuminations to be taken in short succession.

Abstract: Prostate treatment using fluid stream to resect prostate tissue, thereby relieving symptoms of conditions such as BPH, prostatitis, and prostatic carcinoma. A device having a fluid delivery element is positioned within a lumen of the urethra within the prostate. A fluid stream is directed outwardly from the fluid delivery element toward a wall of the urethral lumen. The fluid delivery element is moved to scan the fluid stream over the wall to remove a volume of tissue surrounding the lumen. The fluid may be combined with therapeutically active substances or with substances that increase resection efficiency. Fluid force may be adjusted to provide selective tissue resection such that soft tissue is removed while harder tissue is left undamaged. In order to gain a working space within the urethra, another fluid may be introduced to insufflate the urethra in the region of treatment.
