Abstract: A method for message routing in a Peer to Peer (P2P) network includes the following steps: when a request message is routed from a source peer to a destination peer, the source peer and every intermediate peer that needs to be recorded add path information of the local peer to the request message and forward the request message to a next hop until the message arrives at the destination peer, where the path information includes a communication address of the local peer; the destination peer adds the path information in the request message to a response message obtained according to the request message; and the response message is routed from the destination peer to the source peer according to the path information. A source peer, an intermediate forwarding peer, and a destination peer as well as a message routing system are also disclosed. With the present invention, recursive message routing is implemented in a structured P2P network.
Abstract: A switching system in which a unique additional address is used for each session, and session information is transferred as it is without rewriting the session information when a communication device such as a server is switched, a switching method, and a switching program are disclosed. The switching system comprises a switching device (210) for selecting an address for each session from a first communication device, attaching the address to a packet from the first communication device in place of a destination address of the packet, and sending the packet, a dispatcher (240) for setting up a session with the first communication device, selecting a server to deal with the request from the first communication device, and transferring the set up session to a second communication device, and servers (250-1, . . . , 250-n) for taking over the session transferred by the dispatcher and dealing with the request from the first communication device.
Abstract: A communication apparatus provides a first transfer unit for transferring a first packet received from a base station to a second home agent, the first packet to be sent from a first mobile station to a second mobile station as a destination, the first terminal and the second terminal being managed by a first home agent and the second home agent respectively, a second transfer unit for transferring the first packet sent back from the second home agent to the base station, and a return instruction unit for issuing to the base station an instruction for directly transferring a second packet to the second mobile station when a predetermined condition is satisfied.
Abstract: A method, a system, and a terminal for sending and receiving a multicast broadcast service (MBS) are provided in the communication field. Based on a preset correspondence between MBS content IDs and LCIDs, a network side sends MBS data with an LCID corresponding to the MBS content ID in an air interface link identified by an MCID. A terminal generates a corresponding LCID from the MBS content ID of the MBS based on the same correspondence as that of the network side, and receives data via a logical channel identified by the LCID in the air interface link identified by the MCID of the required MBS. A method for assigning an MBS information ID is also provided. The uniqueness of the MBS content ID can be guaranteed within an operator, an access service network (ASN), or an MBS zone.
Abstract: A system for monitoring and diagnosing communication systems comprises: an interface, a processor, and a graphical user interface. The interface receives one or more communication data streams. The processor extracts information from the one or more communication data streams. And, the graphical user interface displays the information as a plurality of time-correlated lanes.

Abstract: Classification and verification of static file transfer protocols is provided. A network node sitting in the path of packets classifies traffic according to its content, and then statistically verifies that the content actually matches the initial classification. Classification and verification are standard building blocks in networks systems that provide quality-of-service. However, unlike traditional quality-of-service building blocks, a system of the present invention takes a trust-but-verify approach, and thus can rely on longer-timescale statistical online or offline verification to reduce computational requirements. This improves scalability and reduces the cost and complexity that in part has prevented prior service differentiation systems from succeeding in the Internet. Internet Service Providers (ISPs) can combine the classification and verification building blocks with a networked directory service to allow further classification as to whether particular content is for pay.
Abstract: A method and apparatus for Ethernet data compression enables the size of Ethernet frames to be reduced. Compression and decompression of Ethernet frames occur by the Ethernet network elements, rather than by user computers or end devices that transmit data on the Ethernet network. A new EtherType value may be used to identify the type of compressed Ethernet frames and optionally the type of mechanism used to compress the payload of Ethernet frames. The new EtherType may be inserted into a newly assembled frame ahead of the original EtherType. Alternatively, the new EtherType may replace the original EtherType and a short subheader may be used to identify the original EtherType. Out-of-band network signaling by the Ethernet control plane may also be used to determine whether frames are to be compressed and decompressed over controlled Ethernet links and tunnels, with or without use of the new EtherType.
Abstract: The present invention provides a method for transmitting data and a transceiver. In one embodiment, the method includes: (1) generating data blocks of a data package in a first transceiver to transmit to a second transceiver, the first transceiver including a micro-controller coupled to a digital signal processor, (2) generating identification data in the first transceiver for the data blocks, wherein the identification data is an index of a list of the data blocks to be transmitted and each of the data blocks is transmitted with the index and (3) identifying the data blocks to be transmitted to the second transceiver based on the identification data, wherein the microcontroller employs the index to manage transmission of the data blocks.

Abstract: A system for protecting networks from vulnerability exploits comprises a security engine operable to receive a packet destined for a user's network and forward the packet to at least one host virtual machine for processing. The security engine is further operable to forward the stored packet to the user's internal network based upon a result of the processed packet. A method of securing a network from vulnerability exploits is described. The method comprises receiving a packet destined for a user's internal network; forwarding the packet to at least one virtual machine based upon a virtual machine configuration table; processing the forwarded packet on the at least one virtual machine; and releasing the packet to the user's internal network based upon results of the processing.

Abstract: A method and a device for data communication between a first instance and a network are provided, wherein the first instance is connected via a first interface with the network. In the novel method, the first instance is connected with the network via at least one second interface.
Abstract: A reliable synchronization apparatus and method within a multicast and broadcast service (MBS) zone having m sync executers (SEs) belonging to n retransmission zones is provided. Each retransmission zone has a selected leader SE and other member SEs. The apparatus comprises a sync controller and the n selected leader SEs. When the Sync controller multicasts a sync ruler to all SEs in a retransmission zone, the leader SE that loses the Sync ruler sends a NACK message to request the sync controller to retransmit the sync ruler. An election is triggered for updating leader information and announcing election to all SEs. The member SE that loses the sync ruler sends a NACK message to request its leader or the Sync controller to retransmit the sync ruler.

In the establishment procedure, a requesting Non-AP QSTA transmits a TDLS setup request frame via an access point (AP) to an intended peer Non-AP QSTA. And, the requesting Non-AP QSTA receives a TDLS setup response frame via the AP from the intended peer station in response to the TDLS setup request frame. And, the requesting Non-AP QSTA transmits a TDLS setup confirm frame via the AP to the intended peer station in response to the TDLS setup response frame.

Abstract: An extranet direct route allowing extranet forwarding to a directly linked device is written in a layer 2-layer 3-integrated forwarding table. The procedure of introducing a layer 3 address-to-layer 2 address correspondence relation table entry into the layer 2-layer 3-integrated forwarding table searches the layer 2-layer 3-integrated forwarding table with a layer 3 address of the correspondence relation table entry and a layer 3 interface as search keys to retrieve any forwarding entry relating to an extranet direct route as a forwarding destination. The procedure subsequently extracts a VRF of each retrieved forwarding entry and introduces the correspondence relation table entry for the extracted VRF into the layer 2-layer 3-integrated forwarding table.
