  • Patent number: 11489714
Abstract: The present disclosure relates a system and a method of identifying network faults residing in an underlay network. A network device initiating fault analysis sends a query message through a tunnel interface present in an overlay network configured over an underlay network. While an upstream interface is a network tunnel having a first end and a second end, a unicast path from the first end to the second end of the network tunnel is traced using a network route analysis function. Reachability of a destination device present on the second end of the network tunnel is identified. An output of the network route analysis function is appended with an output of a multicast network connectivity determining function to produce an appended result that is shared with the network device initiating fault analysis.

  • Patent number: 11490440
Abstract: A mesh network of interconnected wireless nodes in which each node independently manages a wireless connection to one or more other wireless nodes for transporting data, and stochastically refreshes and maintains internode connections in the wireless mesh network. A network overlay orchestrator in each node periodically validates the connections to other nodes in the mesh network based on a current topology of connected nodes to ensure the efficiency of current connections. Connection logic replaces, if a connection validation fails, the failed connection with a newly established connection from a set of available neighbor nodes, and replaces, if none of the current connections fail validation, a stochastically selected connection with a newly established connection from the set of available neighbor nodes for promoting perturbation in the current internode connections.

  • Patent number: 11451634
Abstract: Techniques disclosed herein provide a method for configuring a network in DCI environment. An EVPN session is established between a first gateway device of a first network, and a second gateway device of a second network that are linked by L2 DCI link. An ESI is allocated for that EVPN session. A label is created for every combination of the ESI and media access control virtual routing and forwarding table (MAC VRF) that is locally configured at the first gateway device. An EVPN path is received for a host in the first network that is associated with MAC VRF. The path in imported the first MAC VRF by the first gateway device and exported via the inter-DCI EVPN session. The second gateway device identifies a label for MAC and re-exports it in local EVPN session with the identified label.

  • Patent number: 11405935
Abstract: Communication between a source device and one or more pairs of accessory devices and between accessory devices within pairs of accessory devices is scheduled using slot availability masks (SAMs). A primary accessory device provides to the source device information about requirements for communication between the primary accessory device and a secondary accessory device. The source device determines a SAM map that specifies a periodic cycle of time slots, with time slots marked as available or unavailable for transmission and/or reception. The SAM map satisfies requirements to avoid collisions between communication between the source device and the accessory devices and communication between accessory devices within pairs of accessory devices. When multiple pairs of accessory devices establish connections with the source device, internal communication between accessory devices within pairs of accessory devices are aligned to use at least a common overlapping set of time slots.

  • Patent number: 11388765
Abstract: A manager device manages communications between wireless devices in a building automation and control (BAC) network. The manager device includes multiple RF modules and a CPU, all disposed within a single housing. Each RF module includes an antenna and RF transceiver for transmitting and receiving wireless RF signals to and from the wireless devices. Each RF transceiver of each RF module operates on a different RF frequency from the RF transceiver of each of the other RF modules. The CPU runs multiple processes in a wireless network protocol stack, including an event handler process and multiple transceiver control processes. The event handler process monitors events within the BAC network, and manages message traffic to and from the transceiver control processes. The transceiver control processes receive messages from and send messages to the event handler process. Each transceiver control process is associated with a corresponding one of the RF transceivers.

  • Patent number: 11349761
Abstract: A cost effective congestion isolation for lossless Ethernet utilizing random selection is provided. Upon detecting congestion at one of its egress ports, a downstream device randomly selects a data packet received at one or more of its ingress ports for isolation in a congested priority queue at the ingress port. The downstream device sends a congestion isolation message, including a list of isolation hashes to an upstream device to identify data packets selected for isolation. Upon receipt, the upstream device identifies data packets selected for isolation and begins to queue such packets in a congested priority queue of the upstream device. When priority-based flow control is triggered, the upstream device ceases transmission of packets in the congested priority queue only, while allowing continued transmission of non-isolated data packets.
