Abstract: The present disclosure provides a mobile advertising platform in which mobile user locations and other information are translated into indications of mobile user intent to approach certain businesses, and advertisers can fill mobile advertising requests or choose to price their bids for mobile supplies based on such indications. In certain embodiments, pre-defined places associated with business/brand names are created, and mobile advertising requests are processed to determine if the associated with mobile devices have triggered any of these pre-defined places. If a mobile advertising request is determined to have triggered one or more of the pre-defined places, it is annotated with the triggered place(s), and advertisements are selected based on the triggered places and other factors. The annotated requests with the triggered places can also be commodities in a location market place, which are auctioned to the mobile advertisers, who can place their bids on the triggered places.

Abstract: A method, system, and computer readable medium for automatically selecting target consumers and delivering business-initiated messages to the selected target consumers, as well as automatically selecting target businesses and delivering consumer-initiated messages to the selected target businesses. In particular, financial management applications used by the businesses and consumers are employed in targeting and delivering the business-initiated messages and consumer-initiated messages.

Abstract: Systems and methods to process overhead imagery received from overhead image sources are described herein. Examples include accessing an aerial image including a property, determining an owner of the property, determining whether the owner of the property is eligible to be a member of a financial institution, determining whether the owner of the property has property insurance with the financial institution for the property type of the property in the aerial image, and presenting an offer for insurance to insure the property in the aerial image when the owner is determined to be eligible for the financial institution and does not already have insurance with the financial institution. Examples include accessing an aerial image of properties, determining damage estimates, and reserving resources to repair the properties based on the damage estimates.

Abstract: In accordance with some embodiments, methods for presenting advertisements during video presentation are provided, the methods comprising: receiving a media content item to be presented, wherein the media content item comprises video content that includes audio data to be presented during presentation of the video data; determining that a video presentation application is in a presentation mode that inhibits video data; receiving an advertisement to be presented during presentation of the media content item; causing the media content item to be presented in the presentation mode; causing the advertisement to be presented during presentation of the media content; detecting a user action indicative of user attention to at least a portion of the presented advertisement; and performing a further action in response to detecting the user action, which causes information other than the advertisement to be presented by the user interface.

Abstract: A container may hold one or more items and be associated with a customer order. The container may be identified as it moves along an inventory conveyance system. In response to identifying the container, a message may be selected that corresponds to one or more aspects of the customer order. The selected message may be provided to a laser marking system in a manner that allows the laser marking system to apply the message to the container as it moves along the inventory conveyance system.

Abstract: Mobile devices and servers that securely manage transactional history for targeted content are described. A content originator generates a secure content package for the targeted content and delivers the package to a trusted service manager (TSM). The TSM delivers the package to a first mobile device. The first mobile device presents the package for redemption and/or transfers the package to one or more additional mobile devices. Prior to presentment or transfer, the first mobile device updates a secure history container of the package to include a unique identifier of the first mobile device and a corresponding authentication token. When the package is presented for redemption, the TSM validates the package and authenticates the secure history container. The TSM delivers the authenticated secure history container to the content originator as a record of the redemption.

Abstract: A user's interaction with a list of content may be monitored and a second item of content may be inserted into the list at a position based on the user's interaction. The additional content may be associated with a first item of content in the list based on the interaction. A direction of scrolling of the list may be monitored, and the second item of content may be inserted into the list in a position subsequent to the first item of content in the direction of scrolling, such that the viewer encounters the second item of content after the associated first item of content. Because the second item of content may be selected to be desirable to viewers of the first item of content, presenting the second item of content subsequent to the first item of content may increase the likelihood of ingestion of the second item of content.

A hyperlink to a social media website that contains information of the benefits of using a latest version or model of the software or hardware product is inserted in the graphical diagram, where after displaying such information, an instruction is received from the user to upgrade the software or hardware product.

Profile information is obtained for the user based on the identity of the user. An interactive game is activated on the AR device. The interactive game is tailored to the user based on the profile information. One or more rewards are provided to the user for implementing aspects of the interactive game.

Abstract: Provided herein are method, apparatus, and computer program products for facilitating the determination of an ideal discount rate or an ideal accepted value for a promotion based on a plurality of model-based decision trees. The decision trees may be generated based on a set of original data, which may include information from a set of past promotions. The trees may branch into smaller, more homogenous subgroups of the original data until a model is generated for each resulting node of the tree. The plurality of trees may be applied to a current promotion with a set of possible predetermined discount rates in order to determine an ideal discount rate or an ideal accepted value for the promotion.

Abstract: A coupon clearinghouse server receives a request for a coupon offer from a client device. The server transmits only a first subset of coupon offer data for the coupon offer to the client device, and stores, in memory, a first code for a first merchant at which the coupon offer is redeemable. The code is not revealed to the client device. Subsequently, the server receives, from the client device, a second code that the client device has obtained at a point of sale system. The server determines if there is a match between the first code and the second code, and if so, transmits the second subset of coupon offer data including coupon offer redemption instructions to the client device. The client device presents the now complete coupon offer to the point of sale system to redeem the coupon offer.

Abstract: A comprehensive computer system and method (See FIGS. 1, 1a, 2) for automating and facilitating the performing and processing of tasks, information transfer, and information storage associated with the home sale (See FIG. 3a), mortgage origination (See FIG. 3b), and settlement process (See FIG. 3c), and the home mortgage refinancing origination and settlement process (See FIGS. 1b, 1c, 2a), over a distributed computing network are disclosed. One aspect of the invention is a greatly simplified process for a home buyer to search for a home and simultaneously receive accurate and competitive bids for mortgages and services from multiple lenders and service providers. The process includes an automated underwriting process which generates complete, accurate information on the costs of buying and owning a home at very beginning of the home buying process. Another aspect of the invention is greatly automating the entire sale, loan and settlement process.

Abstract: Disclosed are a system and a method for purchasing items from a merchant system using friction-less payment processing technology. A customer initiates a purchase transaction from a user interface of the merchant system by selecting a payment button in lieu of payment information or login credentials or signing-into accounts. An auto-payment component parses a navigable link connected to the payment button to locate a mobile payment portal either installed on the mobile device as a mobile payment application or authenticated as a web application in a web-browser. The auto-pay component generates a payment request and sends the request to a payment service system via the mobile payment portal. The payment service system uses information in the payment request to identify financial accounts associated with the customer and the merchant. The payment service system then initiates a transfer of a payment amount from the customer to the merchant.

Abstract: A method and system provide on demand self checkout for users purchasing products from a store, according to an embodiment. When a user believes that lines at a conventional clerk operated checkout counter are too long or when the user merely wants to do a self checkout, the user can go to a designated area in the store. The user can open an app installed on the user's mobile device and can perform a self checkout by scanning the products with the mobile device.

Abstract: Techniques are described related to selecting content items, such as by enabling user analysis and control of product-related content items selected for display to users. The content items may include advertisements or other promotional materials, and the selecting of the content items may be performed as part of determining particular promotional materials to display or otherwise present to particular users in particular situations. User analysis and control of selected content items that are displayed on a target electronic site may be enabled by providing, as part of the target electronic site, additional selection-related functionality whose availability is restricted to one or more authorized users—for example, such additional restricted access information and user-selectable controls may be provided on a version of a Web page of an online retailer to enable the retailer to analyze and influence future content items selected for display on the online retailer's Web page(s).
