  • Patent number: 10123066
Abstract: A media playback method, so as to implement seamless playback of media information, is presented. The media playback method includes: determining a first location relationship between a target object and a first terminal; when the first location relationship meets a first preset condition, determining a second location relationship between a second terminal and the target object; and when the second location relationship meets a second preset condition, sending media information currently played on the first terminal to the second terminal, to enable the second terminal to play the media information. By using the foregoing technical solution, seamless playback of media information among multiple screens is implemented, thereby providing personalized data services and applications to a target object, and improving efficiency of acquiring media information by a target object.

  • Patent number: 10097882
Abstract: Particular embodiments provide a hybrid approach to confirming a presence of the second-screen device in a same location as a first-screen device. In one embodiment, a trigger phase and a confirmation phase are used to confirm the presence of the second-screen device in a physical proximity to the first-screen device. The trigger phase may be performed at a back-end system. The back-end system may detect events for the content being delivered to the first-screen device using content detection techniques. The back-end system may generate a trigger event when certain conditions are met based on the detection. Once the trigger event is detected, the back-end system may confirm that the second-screen device is physically present in a same location with the first-screen device. For example, the back-end system may communicate with the second-screen device to initiate a content detection analysis on the second-screen device.

  • Patent number: 10097904
Abstract: A system for automatically managing the delivery of digital media assets allocates the digital media assets to programs so that consumers will receive the digital media assets when they consume the programs. An example is the automated allocation of sponsored videos to television programs. The system includes data stores, a digital media server, and a campaign manager system. The campaign manager system receives consumption data corresponding to digital assets and programs that the consumers have consumed, along with an allocation value or impression delivery value. It then uses that information to automatically allocate digital media assets to digital programs in a campaign.

  • Patent number: 10070156
Abstract: Methods, systems, and computer readable media can be operable to facilitate an analysis and control of video quality of experience (VQoE) of services delivered to one or more client devices. A content version segment may be selected for delivery to a client device based upon an estimation of the video quality experienced by the client device and the bandwidth available for delivering content to the client device. Video quality estimation may be based upon information associated with the encoding of a media stream coupled with one or more parameters of the client device receiving the media stream. Video quality estimation for one or more client devices may be aggregated and displayed to a service operator and/or may be used to inform content selection decisions in an adaptive bit-rate delivery method.

  • Patent number: 9973788
Abstract: A video is analyzed to identify interest level for a plurality of frames. The interest level is determined based on analysis of the content of each of the plurality of frames or how often other clients view the frames or take actions while viewing the frames. Frames are clustered and key frame locations are determined for each of the clusters. Key frames are given a higher buffering priority than non key frames. Buffering of key frames is prioritized based on key frame interest level. Key frames are also utilized to enable a client to skip forward or backward between key frames and view content that is likely to be of interest to the user.
